Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good lunch Time MMC!
This morning when I opened my window, guess what did I see? There was snow on the top of my home mountain, the Rigi (1797,5 meters over the sea level)!!! I'm soooo happy now!
I already found a way to go there, which I would be able to afford. It's on the second advent weekend (07. and 08. December). I'm waiting on more detailed information, but I guess this will be my own personal christmas gift.
Really? There are so many sayings in German and I never know if they are also known in the States. Not to mention that I always have a hard time to translate them properly into English.
Actually I tried it several times. So far I hadn't time to try it with a youtube video, but it's on my list. Maybe you are right and the youtube videos will be successful in teaching me.
I'm dressed in a hoodie today and I'm freezing in my office. Guess they forgot to shut down the AC. Temps are around 55 F (13 C) at the moment.

Good Morning! How was your evening/night? Hope you are all ready for a new day. Still raining here. I've got some Billie Holiday on and getting on with some house chores. Baby has just gone down for a nap so I might have a little coffee break!
We did get the chance to crack open a bottle of red wine and watch a couple old movies last night as planned. It was good o see them again after such a long time. We might keep the theme tonight and watch Guys and Dolls. I don't know what it is about the stormy weather that makes me want to go back in time.... I suppose the nostalgia is comforting somehow.
Ok well sorry for the random babbling.......lol Have a really good day everyone!

Rain yesterday morning, then clear skies for the remainder of the day, which was slightly on the warm and humid side. Not bad though.
We have started today dry at 63 degrees here in the capital city.
Well, Carl's got a bang-up open house planned for tomorrow.
Something about windows. Details to come.

I picked up a sweater out of my drawer the other day. I miss it so much!!! We are all still in shorts and tanks here.
She heard that I put in my 2 week notice on washing your dishes. She was hiding from you because she don't want to get trapped into taking over my job. :wink:

I am trying to catch up on the podcast. I listened to Merry Podcast #29 -- Counting Down to Christmas yesterday. I played it while I was cleaning the house and sure did enjoy it. Jayish interviews Joanna from Christmas TV History. It was very interesting. I enjoyed every bit of it! If you haven't heard it yet be sure to do so!

I just got back from walking the dogs. It is breezy and cool this morning. Temperatures are in the upper 40's and we will warm up to 65 degrees today. It finally feels like Fall weather.
My youngest is home from school today with a sore throat. I'm going to take her in to the doctor to make sure its not strep. I also need to go to the supermarket for a few things. Not too much else going on.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high in the mid 70's. I need to get some work done on the computer today and then I'll probably head outside to enjoy this beautiful day. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!
