Christmas Countdown - 2014

They are pretty nice here though. Rent is due by the 10th but there has been several times that I forgot about it and didn't pay it until the 11th or 12th and they have never charged me the late fee.

Good afternoon MMC! Happy Pines Day!!!! laying: Happy Hump Day!!!

It was a CHILLY one this morning again -12º! Tomorrow is supposed to be 0, possibly a -0 & after that there is not one low below 0 in the 10 day forecast. BOUT TIME! The sun is shining bright though & that makes it much more bearable! They are saying snow on Friday, rain/freezing rain Monday & snow/freezing rain Tuesday. UGH! I do not need to see any freezing rain! Could be worse though - our truck driver friend is stuck in Georgia, trying to work his way North, but he has been grounded. Poor guy!!! Friends of ours + 4 other couples were supposed to leave for Cancun today - all their flights were cancelled. Now that would be a bummer! So I won't complain! :smile:

Other than that, not much going on here today! I'm trying a new crochet pattern for a basket (to put the puppies toys in) ~ I'll let you know how that goes. LOL!

Thanks! I had to laugh when I read about I70 being the cutoff for you, b/c I70 is the cut off here too. They always say North of 70 , you can expect snow South of 70, you can expect rain (or whatever kind of weather they are calling for) And it's usually true!

Good morning! Just came back from my morning jog, had a shower and getting ready to go to the campus. It is quite slippy today in some places outside so I wasn't able to run in my full pace. But I guess a short run is better than no run. :]

Now, this mornings predictions from Accu-weather is for my area of Maryland (Carroll County), is to get a total of 12"-18" of snow and there will be considerable drifting as well....

I am soooooo sick today. I'd like to be home in bed, but I'm behind in my work so I came in. I might as well have stayed home, as all I've done is cough, blow my nose, and stare at the computer screen. This is the third cold I've had since the new year (the fourth since just before Christmas), I just can't seem to keep away from them this year. Maybe I'll just call it a day and get out of here, as I'm not getting any work done anyway. Ugh!

It has been raining off and on the past few days. We had rain for two or three days straight last week. It was a pain getting rid of the water on top of the tarps that were covering the sub-floor and exposed dirt under the sub-floor. Hubby is trying to keep it dry so he can put in the electrical and plumbing.

We did enjoy it, Made. The food was so good, and it was fun to watch some of the Elks get pins for having been members for 55 years! Hubby has been a member 18 years and I have been a member 13 years. I think back and just say, "WOW!" It just does not seem to have been that long ago! But it is worthwhile to be able to contribute to such a worthy organization that does a lot for kids.

Is there any chance you could ever get on full time, or do they keep folks at part time to save money on medical insurance? I hope you can get on full time with a place that you really love. I think Iif I needed to work, I could (happily) work at our local Round Table. The folks there are so friendly and fun. The boss just got the manager of the year award. He is so special and is always donating and helping the teachers and schools in our town.

several people at work sick so I got called in again for tomorrow. So I am a regular working girl this week with 35 hours clocked in. I wish I would get those kind of hours every week!

Anyway, going up to relax and read before going to bed, good night all!

Such great advice. Sometimes, though, it is hard to do if you really need the hours at work. Maybe MB could take work home and do it there. That would be ideal for when she feels up to doing it!
