A rare weekend check in from me! ;) I've missed my MMC friends!!! It's a super cold/windy/dreary/sunny/crazy kind of day here in Ohio! Typical I guess! :p I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!!
We had friends over last night. Their daughter makes her confirmation tomorrow & I am going to smoke some pork loin for them for the party. I thought she had 1 huge pork loin cut in half to make 2 for smoking, but oh no...she has 2 HUGE loins that will need to be cut in half, so I will need all 4 smoker racks. Hope they fit! Makes me a little nervous! :mad: I don't want to wish away my weekend but I'm excited to try these - I wish it was time to start! ;) (I'm a little goofy about how much I love to cook/bake/smoke/grill) LOL Maybe I'm in the wrong profession! :rolleyes:

Oh by the way...weather channel says snow for us by 6pm. Booooooo! (OK, I can't lie & say I'm bummed about it - as much as I love warm weather & summer...I'm a little excited!! :snowball:snowhappy:shiver

This is the recipe from Emma, but I will PM you also - I made more of this last night to go along with homemade soft pretzel bites - I cut the recipe in 1/2 - delish!!! Our friends & their kids couldn't get enough of it. LOL

Emma's Cheese Sauce
2 lb. Velveeta Cheese
1 Stick Butter
1 Cup Milk
1 Can Evaporated milk (12 oz)

Melt together over low heat!

That sounds r-i-c-h and delicious! It would probably work as fondue, too.

We are having those wind gusts, too! Off to 50 mph winds, it was a white out for most of the day! So cold!!

We had an excellent afternoon, making picks on our new house, and being able to walk through our home for the first time!
Then then they sent us over to my favorite garden center in town to pick out our landscaping. So fun!!!
For our front yard tree choice, we picked and autumn Maple-gorgeous! Easy choice :)

This week, we need to pick out our lighting & plumbing fixtures, and our fireplace stone.

We just order takeout, and are going to settle in and have dinner and watch a movie.

Well, I never got around to cooking supper....so we had to order out. I'm about to start cooking, now. It will be ready and we can eat it tomorrow or tomorrow evening. While I look food fresh out of the over, there is something about the spices setting on the food for a day after it's good that gives it a better taste. Other than not getting the cooking done, I'm deeming today a success. Now, I'm going to watch basketball, cook, and play with the babies.

Crazy weather today. The wind has been insane all day. In our county and the county to our south, there were about 13,000 people who lost power. We were one of them. Then came some crazy snow. Huge flakes, almost no visibility for a few minutes at a time. The snow actually covered the ground and roofs for about 10 minutes, then the sun came out and it melted, then it snowed some more, then the sun, then more snow, then sun and rain, and then snow and then sun. :eek:
Our power came back on about an hour ago, we were out for maybe 2 hours, nothing major. Just...really...weird. Oh, and a freeze watch tonight. 27 degrees tonight after being in the 60s the last several days.

That's crazy weather. We're about to get some of that. It's weird how we had such an early spring in late winter (and on and off throughout winter this year) and now that spring has arrived we've turned more towards late winter weather.
