Christmas Countdown - 2016

Tuesday morning. Usually the start of my work week, but I took a vacation day to go through Christmas decorations. Not sure if I will finish today, but hopefully get a huge portion of it done.
The 80's have returned to South Dakota (at least for this week). Thank goodness Fall is less than a month away. I trust you are all doing well. Ryan, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. HomemakinGirl, I pray you "four-legged" family member is doing better. We have two here both are seven years old. To everyone reading... Thank you! It is frustrating for all of us, because we know it's what she needs on one hand. But her vet said we need to listen to her, and how she's feeling, and not to push any activity she's not up for. And that girl loves her walks, so I know she must be bummed too.

She barks SO much at the Animal Planet, but we do turn it on sometimes. Usually when we are at home so we can control it - or she will bark herself hoarse!

LOL - I'm always ready to go home & see my girl! Wasn't thinking about food yet, just going home! Really I'm just so excited to hang laundry on the line. Ha ha ha!

Thinking of you guys. Buster started to lose his eyesight too, but he was probably more like 16 or so when that happened. Praying it was just a fluke for Maggie & it doesn't happen again! (((HUGS)))

Lol! She barks sometimes, too. But lately The Animal Planet has been having less animal shows. Kind of like when MTV stopped playing videos, lol.
But nothing loud or violent, so good background noise for her

Good evening ~
My girls had a good first day of classes, everything went smoothly. I'm sure they will be settled in to their new schedules in no time.
I had quite a scare this afternoon. Maggie somehow ended up falling in to the pool. I had to jump in, clothes and all, to get her. That never, ever happened before. Thankfully I was watching her and got to her as fast as I could. It took her a few minutes to stop coughing and calm down but she seemed fine afterward. I think I was more upset than she was. My youngest was with me at the time and of course she's laughing about it now. I could only imagine what I looked like...
Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice day. See you in the morning, goodnight!

Good morning everyone. The last few days have been rough as my wife and her family have been very upset. Her uncle was killed in a motorcycle accident last week. Today is the funeral. Hate seeing them hurting. It was my father-in-law's brother and it just breaks my heart to see my FIL so torn up.

Okay, enough sad news! Y'all have a good second to last day of August! Hope your day goes wonderful.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. It sounds like he was a beloved man. Praying for y'all.

Awww, makes me sad to think about it though. Having a dog is one of the best things in the world. Watching them age is so difficult.

It was sad, but she had a very long (and happy) life. The vet said he'd never seen another golden her age.

I think the squirrels are getting busy. I had the window open before I left for work, and one of them was "cussing" his head off! (They chatter at each other very loudly sometimes.)

Har isn't a t.v. watcher? We caught Rollins watching t.v. the other day. I don't even remember what show we had on but he sat there interested for a few minutes.

She loves tv! Watches & listens to it often.
We leave it on for her, when we aren't home.
Especially is fascinated by anything with animals on.
She just doesn't react to animals on cartoons, like she would a real animal

We always let the Hallmark Channel on for Gracie! LOL

Lulu makes me watch Star Trek all the time. It's getting so old.
