Good afternoon MMC friends. I just had to come on and share the good news. Many of you already know that London had her first real job interview today and she called me just a little while to let me know that she got the job!!! It's retail which isn't always the greatest but it's VS at the mall which is right across the street from her college campus so talk about convenience! I'm such a proud mummy right now.

Great news! Congrats to London. Hope she loves it there!

It IS an awesome show. (I was just kidding about the earworm, BTW. I LOVE "One Day More," the way the multiple parts pop up and weave together!) I have the original London cast album and the anniversary album and video---it's a concert presentation with a "dream cast," and it is amazing. At the end, they do "One Day More" with the Jean Valjeans from all around the world, each singing a line or two in his own language! There's also a special feature about how the show was created, translated, and developed. I had no wish to see the movie adaptation, either. That anniversary concert will do me!

I saw the show in a road-show production in Washington, D.C. during the original Broadway run. Philip Quast was Javert, and he was marvelous. The audience gave him a huge ovation. I was tickled that he played Javert in the anniversary concert video!

Ooooh I saw that anniversary show on PBS. I was so excited to see Robert Marien, the Montreal Jean Valjean! No one knew he could sing, he was a revelation for us. And you are so lucky to have seen Philip Quast as Javert.

I did ask her was she nervous and in good 'ol London style her reply was "no but I'm hungry. I've got an hour to kill so I think I'll go to the food court and buy a burger." hahaha

I'm very excited for her. I know she'll enjoy a little bit more freedom and independence this opportunity will afford her.

Found out my aunt passed away this weekend. Hadn't seen her in years. Just started talking to my cousins recently after a falling out between our fams when we were kids. Kind of sad...but it made her happy that we had started talking again so that's one positive.
Other than that hope everyone had a great day! 1 more to go till the 'Bers!

my mom with her new fashion for the next 6 weeks.
She was visiting a friend at a local retirement home, tired to sit on a chair that rolled away and she ended up on the floor. They picked her up and sent her home telling her to just put a cold cloth on it. Mom instead went to emergency and discovered it was broken. We are not happy with the way the home dealt with this especially considering she is 85 years old.

Dispite the smile put on for the camera she is in pain and will require help for the next while.

Sorry for your loss, Edge.. We had a very similar situation in my family and it definitely leaves you with mixed emotions.
