We are starting to feel better. Henry is fine now and will be back to school tomorrow. I am better, but not 100%. My voice is not quite back and I still have a bad cough, but I do not feel like I have been run over any more.

The judge was very nice to Nathan, He had to pay a $30 fine plus $120 court cost, has to attend a driving class and has limited driving privileges for 30 days.
Not too bad overall.

Well I'm glad to hear you don't feel like you've been run over anymore. That's no fun!! Hopefully you're all back to 100% quick!!
Sounds like a tough lesson for Nathan, but you're right - not bad overall!

My friend still has a tree up in his living room. How coach can you get ??? Yabba!

Mine is still up in the sunroom. Love it! Will probably come down the middle of March, after the time change - that's when the snow/cold can be over!

Good morning everyone!! It was an interesting Monday, which ended early for me, as a feeling of exhaustion took over around 6PM and I slept until just before 1AM. So I guess I am up for the day. That's okay though, since today begins my new work week and I should be able to get back to sleep around 1PM and get a few winks before the shift begins at 10PM. Maybe I can get into the garage this morning to get a few things done and then there is a Bible study at one of the Burger Kings at 6AM.
Also need to pick up a few things from the store and drop off an old TV that has lost it's sound qualities. So the day may still be a bit full.
We are still above freezing (35 degrees) and headed to a high of 46. Not much else really going on. Think I'll through in a small load of laundry before everyone else in the house nods off.
I pray all those in my MMC family are doing well and for those under the weather I wish you all a speedy recovery.

Happy Tuesday! Final day of February already. I always look forward to March as soon as New Years hits because Jan/Feb are my least 2 favorite months of the year. But I have to say this year they did not seem bad at all. Weather hasn't been that bad this winter and I really loved taking in all the post-Christmas lights that people seemed to keep up a good amount of time these last 2 months. Anyway, yesterday was very fast of a work day as my busy week continues today should be the same. Hope you all are well and enjoying the final day of February!

Good Tuesday morning! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'm doing some laundry and catching up online a bit. I'll be doing a mock health and safety audit at a nearby store today, to help them prepare for the real thing. Temperatures well above freezing today and tomorrow but back to Winter by the end of the week. Have a great day everyone!

Yes indeedy, my Friends. That french window has been flung wide open and now it's time to start BOTH of our countdown figures with a "2".
And before you know it, the Season count will be starting with a "1".
(Lord have mercy!)


A tad coolish here yesterday but today will see us into the 70's, with 84 predicted as the high for tomorrow.
(OK. Let's not get carried away, Mother Nature. There's such a thing as too much of a good thing, you know.)
We are greeting the new day here at 54 degrees.

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Milestone Day!!!! I'm happy to change my chalkboard countdown to 300 today...even more excited to change the count to begin with a 2, tomorrow!
AND Happy LAST day of February!! (still hard to believe!) I'm always happy to see March 1st - that means 1 month until LAKE SEASON!!!

We have some rain this morning. Just enough (so far) to make it dreary looking out there!

Emma is back at mom's today! I have supper in the crock pot for Mom, Emma, Jim & I! Marinated Pork Roast with potatoes, carrots & onion under the roast, so the veggies soak up all the marinade flavor. One of my favorites! Unfortunately there was a little misunderstanding & both my brother & my sister made the trip to Indiana this morning to pick up Emma. OOPS!

Hope everyone's day is off to a good start!!!

We already got a warning issued for the lakes Holiday. Due to severe runoff so early all the farms pumping manure onto the fields all winter is washing away into the lakes. So once again it will be boating in a cesspool. I might not even berth the boat this year. Waste of money when ya cant even stand the smell on the dock.

Oh gosh! That's too bad! We always had a problem with that too. There is now a water shed project, & farmers have been fined. They have to stay so many feet away from creeks, etc. & do some things to stop the run off. Most of them have cooperated, but there are still a few...
I guess we'll find out - they were letting water out of our lake, preparing for spring rain. It has happened many times when they do that, we get very little rain & lake is too low for boating by July. xx

Good morning MMC! It sure is Monday!!!

Emma called my sister this morning - she can't come today. They had a death in the community, she wants to go to the viewing. So we're scrambling. I'm going at 9:00 until my oldest sister gets there after noon, then another sister will come around 3-3:30 until another sister gets off work, then she will spend the night & stay until Emma gets there in the morning. My oldest sister will pick up Emma in the am. Geez!!! Thank goodness we have so many of us to get this covered!!

Merry Tuesday!

Yesterday went to Bay City to visit a few antique malls and I saw a few places still with their outdoor Christmas decorations up ~ in town! Awesome sight! The antique malls were fun ~ so much cool stuff there.

Today I've been organizing and tidying things up a bit here at home. I've got dinner in the crock-pot so I can spend most of the afternoon working on store projects.

Rain is forecast for later today with up to one inch or more in my area. Tomorrow there is a chance of 1-3 inches of snow. Friday the high is only 29 and Saturday it could get as high as 50. Michigan weather for you.

Ours came down on the 19th...The latest ever...Time for a 40 week hibernation.

My main tree came down the 1st of February, which was the latest EVER! My sunroom tree I normally convert to a "winter tree" with blue lights & snow flakes, snow men, etc...but with Mom being in the hospital/nursing home, going on vacation....it's still a Christmas tree (with clear & gold lights) I especially love it on dreary days!
