Good Morning, Center-of-the-Week Citizens.
Mid-week 'Pines Day. It has cycled around once again.
And Carl is ready as usual.
But we will discuss our inn of choice after we take care of important business regarding the daily count and our next major Milestone marker.
First, the count:
Days to the Season: 188
Days to Christmas Day: 230
Then, our next Milestone.
Well, by now most everyone must be aware that it is the HALF WAY point to Christmas Season 2018. And, if you are a regular reader, you also know that it will be arriving here now in LESS THAN A WEEK!
That's right. A scant 6 days from now.
(Holy Holly and Mistletoe!)
Beautiful.
That superlative continues to describe our weather here in the state capital.
No rain, moderate temps, still low humidity, plenty of sun and no wind to speak of. Even the pine pollen has abated.
It could be very easy to get quite used to this. Very easy, indeed.
But that would be a mistake, and Mother Nature will surely supply a rude awakening, soon, so we will enjoy it while we can.
We begin this hump day at 58 degrees.
OK, then. The 'Pines and Carl.
Dependable as always, with that complimentary first fired twinkie and tall glass of sweet southern iced tea.
I heard through the grapevine that the inn's chefs have become overstocked on twinkies, so there should be some good deals on take-outs. Get there while the supply lasts, Folks.
In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
