Whew! That's a lot of meetings!! Hope you can get your schedule all figured out!
A mater sammich sounds good. Can't wait for fresh maters from the garden!! :)
Have a good day Brad!
Alright, alright! Stop twisting my arm!

Fine.

I admit it.

I had two mater sammiches.

:p:D

When I was little, I remember being in the back seat of the car as we drove past dark fields at night, on the way home from a local firemen's carnival ... and dozens of fireflies would be winking in the grass and in the trees like Christmas lights. I'll never forget that.
Yes! They are very fun to watch. They look pretty over the lake too!

Have a great evening MMC!!! Pines Day tomorrow! :)

There is a farm here that I love and it does a mobile farmers market twice a week. They just posted that it will start on June 25th. I just keep thinking that’s way to long to wait.

And ants ... and the occasional stinkbug. Bugs are truly the worst part of summer. (Except fireflies ... wish they would come to my neighborhood, I miss them.)

Yes! Mom has the big carpenter ants. I have seen some small ones at our house!! I agree - I'm not a fan of bugs, (especially mosquitoes!!!) but I do love the fireflies!! It seems they stuck around longer than normal last year! :)

We get ants every year in the spring for a few months. It doesn’t matter how much I spray or how much ant bait I put out, they always come back.

Morning MMC! Well we had to pick our days off through July and starting this weekend I have 7 out of the next 11 weekends that will be "3 day weekends". Pretty crazy I know (and that doesn't even count the 4th of July being off or a 4 day mini vacation I'm taking in August). I save up my vacation for this and then still have plenty left over. It's amazing to realize we are heading towards Mother's Day Weekend and getting closer to Memorial Day. Hope you all have a great Pines Day!

Good Morning, Center-of-the-Week Citizens.

Mid-week 'Pines Day. It has cycled around once again.
And Carl is ready as usual.
But we will discuss our inn of choice after we take care of important business regarding the daily count and our next major Milestone marker.

First, the count:
Days to the Season: 188
Days to Christmas Day: 230

Then, our next Milestone.
Well, by now most everyone must be aware that it is the HALF WAY point to Christmas Season 2018. And, if you are a regular reader, you also know that it will be arriving here now in LESS THAN A WEEK!
That's right. A scant 6 days from now.
(Holy Holly and Mistletoe!)

Beautiful.
That superlative continues to describe our weather here in the state capital.
No rain, moderate temps, still low humidity, plenty of sun and no wind to speak of. Even the pine pollen has abated.
It could be very easy to get quite used to this. Very easy, indeed.
But that would be a mistake, and Mother Nature will surely supply a rude awakening, soon, so we will enjoy it while we can.
We begin this hump day at 58 degrees.

OK, then. The 'Pines and Carl.
Dependable as always, with that complimentary first fired twinkie and tall glass of sweet southern iced tea.
I heard through the grapevine that the inn's chefs have become overstocked on twinkies, so there should be some good deals on take-outs. Get there while the supply lasts, Folks.

In the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

Yeah, we have a four-day weekend around Memorial Day, then I'm taking four days off during July 4th weekend. Of course, I don't have seven three-day weekends coming. Lucky you!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

Getting ready for our daily staff meeting, so I'll be brief.

Nancy and I started our car-shopping journey of endurance yesterday. We have four drivers in the house that go in different directions, but only three vehicles...and I'm the only one who wants to drive my truck. I'm not looking forward to this long, arduous march to financial servitude.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Thanks Crown! The days to Halfway are dwindling!

That is exciting and nice to have something to look forward to!
I am taking a week off in August and the rest I am doing long weekends. I think it will be great to break up the weeks that way.

Happy Hump Day! Looks like we will have another beautiful day. Typical day of work for me and tonight I need to catch up on laundry. Hope you all have a great day!

Last night one of my friends on FB posted "33 weeks until Christmas".You can imagine the comments..lol

Also, last night on Hallmark I watched The Middle and they had the Thanksgiving episode and then a Christmas one. :D

My oldest will be driving next year so I am sure we will be doing this at some point too!

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!!

It's a beautiful day today! Hubby has all the farming done & he's off the rest of the week. It was so tempting to take the day off just to go loafing!! But here I am!! Ho hum! LOL! ;) So just work for me today ~ Lu has a grooming appointment. Hopefully hubby can take her! xx

I just have to share this picture - my hubby took last night of our 2nd youngest niece & Lucy. She wants a dog so bad, but her mom & dad are not fans of dogs...AT ALL!!! She needs a dog! :)
