Second day of Christmas.....and 44th Day of Christmas Season 2008.
So cancel those post-Christmas blues!
It may be after Christmas but we are still within the Christmas Season, to January 1.
That means no school for the kids!, bowl games!, New Years Eve and Day plans!
.....and our Christmas Season 2009 count silently running!

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
And keep enjoying your Season!

You are so right, my friend.
And Christmas Season 2009 is closer than you think.

Here's hoping that everyone is still enjoying our current wonderful Christmas Season and looking forward to launching forth on our journey to Season 2009 which begins in just 5 days.
At that point, we will bid a fond farewell to this thread, which will be locked at the end of Dec 31.

Next year, we will shoot for a new record, including breaking the 200,000 view barrier which we just missed this year.

Have a Stupendous Saturday and enjoy your last weekend of 2008!

At the 75% off Christmas Items sale -- I bought two new food items to try for the first time.

(1) Little individual mince pies. To my surpriuse - no meat in them! Raisins and apples and spices and brown sugar. And it says to "serve warm with heavy cream". Even cardboard served warm with heavy cream would be good! I can't wait to try these little pies!

(2) A tin of hot buttered rum mix. It has nutmeg and cinnamon and brown sugar and other delicious things. the directions say to stir and heat with rum. Butter optional! Wow - I'll try it with and without butter!

Whoopie! Christmas Joy continuing!!!!

I´m curious on what the next year brings

I remember thinking when I stumbled upon my first Christmas forum about five years ago that I'd get bored eventually and run out of things to talk about.

Here I am. Still chattin' away and visiting a few different Christmas communities and I feel more interested in Christmas and not one bit tired of it or you good people.

"May the calendar keep bringing ..."

:hello: I'm back and had a great Christmas. Missed y'all. Hope Santa was good to you.

I caught up with the posts I missed here in the countdown so now I feel like I never left.

I agree 100%. Each time I sit down in the TV room I log onto MMC, even for just a minute, to see what's going on!!! I'm addicted.

Don't be too sad Hornet, we get to start thinking about Christmas 2009
and we have almost a full year to anticipate it! I'm still enjoying our
beautiful tree and the many blessings of Christmas 2008. The tighter
economy helped bring in to perspective all that we truly have to be
thankful for.

Gonna miss Da Binger but we'll all YABBA DABBA DO until you return !

AuntieM, I just loved that beautiful fireplace scene with the red chairs,
it looked so inviting I almost felt like I was there.

Got some after Christmas shopping in today after 2 full weeks of being
snowed in except for 2 challenging trips out in the snow.....this is a
winter Seattle won't forget too soon. I found some wonderful Christmas
buys and ornaments to tuck away for next year.

Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend......:tree:

We will miss you, Binger! Be safe! And enjoy the different surroundings!

(Standing with her arm around Carl, tears silently pouring down both faces,as Binger fades out of cyber-sight.)
