DOUBLE "F" today - FRIDAY AND THE FOURTH!!

A warm 78 this morning with the promise of 90's by this afternoon along with increased humidity.
I have long associated the 4th of July with heat so it seems appropriate to me.

Days to the Season: 132
Days to Christmas Day: 174
Days to the 2/3 Season milestone: 10.
Single digits to the 2/3 Season mark as of tomorrow!

May your Friday, your Fourth and your Fireworks be Fantastic!

Hi, Cedar!
Again, we parallel.
I guess great minds think alike!

Hey Crownster!!

What a beautiful graphic...Are you going to enjoy some fireworks later?

Yes, it was just for his annual check up and shots. He weighed-in at a whopping 21.5 lbs. I figured 20 so I wasn't too surprised. However, the female VET was not on vacation this time (last year we saw her partner) so she gave me a meauring cup for O'Malley the cat's food and he has to lose three lbs. by next year and two the following year.

.

Auntie... O'Malley is HUGE!! He weighs in at a whopping 21.5 lbs?? WOW! He must be so pretty...the pics of him you have show a much slender cat! He must photograph well...!!

I had a Maine Coon cat, "Biggie Munn" who was gigantic..weighed 23lbs. ...had a mammoth head. He was a sweetheart and the best cat who loved to get into the empty Christmas boxes while we decorated the tree.

Happy Belated Canada Day Auntie!!

:snowball:

~Crownster, why am I getting so sentimental?...as I grow older, I appreciate July 4th more & more... when I hear those Americana songs and listen to those marches by John Phillip Sousa I feel such incredible pride. I must be getting old!!!

Hope you enjoyed those fireworks.

YABBA!

Thanks for the belated Canada Day wish, Cedar! And yes, O'Malley is a big boy; I think he sucks in the excess weight when he hears the click of the camera. According to my husband, he has cut back on what he's been feeding O'Malley. Lately he's been adding a few shadflies and spiders to his menu. And I love Maine Coons, they're gorgeous cats.

Yesterday one co-worker notice I was wearing red white and blue clothes, she said, "you're looking very patriotic today, did you move across the border?" I said, "nope, this is for my friends in the States though."

Happy Belated 4th of July!

Alaska - Binger - Java - YABBA!

cheesy It's a beautiful sunny 74 in my "neck of the woods".

Got another organizing project to complete today, but have to catch up on a few Merry hang-outs first.

It's all about priorities. I keep Christmas at the top of my priority list!

 Where you headin' on your holidays, Crown?

Well, I would have if there had been any. We got rained out. Actually STORMED out. Mother nature put on a great "fireworks" show of her own!
....And I feel the same way about the holiday. Always play my Sousa tape for the 4th and the preceeding few days. It would be as if I were missing something if I did not observe some of the traditions.
Enjoyed the Boston Pops holiday concert on CBS at 10:00, too.

Days to the Season: 131
Days to Christmas Day: 173
Days to the 2/3 Season milestone: 9. (That's right - single digits!)
And the 100-DAY Season marker is one month from today.
Unbelievable!

Auntie, we are off to the mountains of Virginia (Wintergreen) for Friday, Saturday and Sunday of next week.
Which brings to mind the need for a countdown volunteer.
Any takers??

Have a Stupendous Saturday, friends!
And may your Weekend get off to a Wonderous start.

...And Binger, wherever you are, may your days be cool & humidity free and your coffee be warm!
(I would warn them not to drink to much but that would be like warning Tiger Woods not to hit too many golf balls.)

 I think I'm heading to Toronto next weekend. We're still waiting to confirm plans with one set of relatives.

Hope you have a nice time.

How is the Crown Vic looking? Guess the rain isn't helping you with your efforts.

I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. I did last year too, but this year I'm hoping for more "together time" with family and a chance to put our tree up in the Living Room. If O'Malley is willing. Maybe he's too heavy to climb it.HaHa.

:hello: Quick grab a present before they're all land in my chimney!

Think I'll spruce the place up for Christmas in July!

Indeed, Dom, I love all the holidays. I see them as island ports of call in the ocean of our voyage back to the Christmas Season.

Now, it's time to check the log book:
Days to the Season: 130
Days to Christmas Day: 172
Days to the 2/3 Season milestone: 8. (Barely over a week, now!)
And UNDER a month to the 100-DAY Season marker.
Wow! The ship is making good time with the strong wind of good fellowship astern!

We have had several days now of off and on rain. More predicted into the foreseeable future. We currently stand at 74 degrees here in Raleigh.

Have a Super Sunday, everyone!

Would anyone else like to be our "guest counter" this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning or shall the trusty Dom again lend us his services?

(Thanks for volunteering again, Dom!)

Good Morning Folks...

Crown, I can help Dom out, he doesn't NEED any help but if so, I'm here to help...so "Count" me in for the three days~

Lovely day today, I am driving west to the 'big lake'...I feel the need to get my toes in the white sand and clear blue water.

Have a wonderful day!

Auntie, I have to look for a picture of my beloved Biggie Munn to show you, he is in a Christmas ornament box and he is so huge he spills out all over....you will appreciate it, I'm sure.

:rudolph:

Checkin in...Hope everyone had a great weekend=)

Good morning!! :hi: Back to work for me today & boy am I dreading it! :-? My hubby was on vaca last week, so we spent the week at the lake. I had Monday, Thursday, & Friday off & I only worked 1/2 days Tuesday & Wednesday, so back to reality today! Ugh!! But boy was it nice while it lasted! Lol! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
