On a great note, Kim and I put up our Christmas decorations yesterday!! She wanted them to go up real early since I am leaving for home on December 5th. I would have taken pictures but the red lights on the string are not working. This is kind of frustrating as I will have to test each bulb to see which has burnt out. The tree is also up. Early isn't it?! We're probably going to go to Wal-Mart or something of that nature soon to purchase some extra lights and maybe a few more decorations. I will post pictures after that! Now, all that is left for me is the Christmas music to be played. Excited for that!!!!

I can't wait to see pics!!!!

The plan for today is to pack some more stuff up around the house so I can put out the christmas decorations faster. I am also going to clean the windows. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween stuff came down Yesterday. got real chilly here, quick.but thats nothing new here.I think it's gonna be a lazy day, some cleaning, then Im gonna make an ad in the local paper for wrapping gifts for people.Ive done it for years with the family gonna give it a try with others. Have a wonderful day!!

I leave on Friday for Branson. I can't wait to be down there and celebrating Christmas! For those that haven't seen it, you should check out on youtube the tree lighting show at Silver Dollar City. It is absolutely amazing and in less than 1 week I'll be there! I can just feel the spirit right now!

I'll be home just in time for the start of the season on the 13th. I can't wait. We'll probably go see A Christmas Carol right after we get home from vacation too. It looks like it is full swing from here on out! Yay!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'd love to see Branson and Silver Dollar City sometime! It seems to be very similar to Pigeon Forge, TN and Dollywood!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I feel like I've been away forever! There are four pages of posts between this on and my last one. You guys are on a roll!

We had a great Halloween! After trick or treating with the kids, we went to a rustic barn that we use as a community center, and had chili-dogs, chips, music, fellowship...it was a blast!

I hope you've all had a great weekend. It's November!!! Yee-Haw!

Good morning! Sounds like everyone is really starting to kick off the Christmas season now! I went to the Christmas open house/ladies night at the hardware store last night. (grand opening of the Christmas room) & it was so fun!!! They had a good crowd, spiced warm apple cider, snacks, desserts, Christmas music playing! I LOVED it!! Of course the trees were so pretty! I ran into my sister there who asked if I had my Chirstmas music out yet. I told her it was on in my car & she said "it IS Nov. 1st ya know..." It was always her "rule" that it is legal to start listening after Nov. 1st! It's getting so exciting now!! I can't believe we are almost down to single digits to the season!!! WOW!!!

We go to the TSO concert THIS Saturday!!!

Brent - can't wait to see pics of your house! How exciting!!!

I took down all of my Halloween decorations yesterday. I would also like to put up Christmas early (we leave to visit family), but my husband would have none of it. LOL! He said I was going to have to wait until the weekend before Thanskgiving!

Today is a great day at work! We start selling our Limited Time Only Holiday shake!!!

It is a peppermint chocolate chip crunch. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yummy!!!

...Got a few long days ahead of me, but then off I will go to Branson. I've about got my meal plans made and my activities planned out - with plenty of lounge about and do nothing time too! I really, really can't wait!quote]

How I wish there were one near me. The shake sounds wonderful. Your trip plans make me jealous!! Have fun, like I am sure you will.

Unless you work for a federal Gov. office or a bank, who get Veteran's day off, which isn't fair in my book but that's nothing new...

Good morning, everyone!

The last full week until the Season - well said coach! Halloween has past and, with the exception of Remembrance Day (Veterans Day in the US), there is no other holiday between now and Christmas in Canada. How exciting! December 25th is extremely close.

Sunny and -3C with the wind chill here in Ottawa right now. We're supposed to get up to about 9C (48F) today. Rain is expected this evening. It's a busy day for me. Two assignments are due today. An essay, which I have to re-edit in a couple hours and then a presentation for my night class. Thankfully, everything has been completed. I can't wait to have this all behind me! There are only two more essays and one more assignment left at this.

Listening to Christmas Music on Sounds of the Season today. Less than two weeks until local radio starts with the Christmas format. I joined the forums in June. Hard to believe its already about Christmas time again.

no local stations have shifted.. years ago the smooth jazz station ( horrors..) started playing it circa Nov 1st..

GOOD EVENING!

i am starting to clear the house out to make room for my christmas decorations, i will be decorating on dec 1st.

the baby (5 weeks and 5 days old) has been hard work today, lots of crying and very clingy. i haven't been able to get a thing done. i hope she settles a bit more and this isn't going to be an every day thing. i have christmas films i need to watch!

We have also started to plan for Christmas. I have rearranged the living room several times trying to see where the tree will look best. Of course having just moved in here a month ago, I still have not even figured out where it all looks good not decorated! cheesy

Whoa,It's just flying by now.Im getting wicked excited. We are still undecided on what to have for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day Dinner.Anyone else undecided?

Correct. It's a real shame. As long as we continue to remember those who dedicated their lives, we will be all right.

I will be seeing my parents this weekend, and it'll be exactly half way through the term. So I'll be able to think "the time since last time I saw them.. wait that long again... then it's home for Christmas!"

I love that my University terms end really early so I get home on the 6th of December, while loads of other places don't finish until about the 19th! I love being at home for Advent and feeling like a kid again, helping parents to decorate, relaxing, doing all the things that the family do every year like the trip to get a tree, the stocking up on ridiculous amounts of food, the decorating.... I just pictured my indoor Christmas tree, which is made of silver tinsel, and felt a jolt of excitement. The fact that my room is FREEZING sort of adds to the Decembery atmosphere...

I felt very ill last night. I thought that my flu was returning. So I cosied up with some sitcoms, tea and some festive comfort food (mmmm mince pies) and feel considerably better. Miracle cure!!!
