OK...so the posts record fell...but guys....we are off by over 100,000 views for the other record....will there be alot more to come??

good morning!

Been a crazy week here, and will continue to be so untill Saturday evening. So glad when this move is done. New carpet is finally getting put in this morning.

Good thing is I found 5 new boxes of Christmas lights!!! Forgot I bought those on sale at the end of the last season. :yahoo:

Christmasstar...congrats on the find. Nothing like finding something tucked away you forgot about! Love it when that happens!

Last night, my mind was boggled by the number of views that Christmas 08 had last year! 200,000! That's insane....averages out to over 500 a day....when did it pick up and get so crazy? Is it around the season or closer to Christmas....that's just amazing to me!

Hope your weather is as good as ours....high in the low 70's....low in the mid 50's...feels great right now. Tomorrow is Friday and I can't wait! Have a good one!

Well here we are.
The start of a new month and we are edging closer to Nov and the start of the season and in the great white north, we have a long weekend to look foward to for Turkey day.

By then, it's almost mid month.

Can't wait!!

Fall colors are in their prime. Next thing you know, it will be Halloween and Nov.

Wow!

Time sure flies by.

Cheers!!

Yesterday was a very stressful day. My uncle had double bypass surgery. When he came out the doctors said it didn't look good. They only got 10% better flowage in the one and the other they couldn't do anything with. We called the hospital today and he's doing better and they are going to put in a stent today. Please send him your prayers.

Thanks everyone.

I'm sure you and your family are in many thoughts and prayers from people on MMC. I hope all turns out ok.

That's so exciting to find something during the move (especially Christmas lights)! That's the exact opposite of what happens to me when I move. This past move I did, I lost the remote control to the TV. I have no idea where it went. It's gone forever I think.

How many days are left until Christmas day??:tree:

What a day I had yesterday. I left the house at 9:30 in the morning and didn't get back until 10:00 at night. I went to a networking event in the morning, which was a flop. Then, all afternoon, I was at a career fair. Most of the employers were looking for interns, but I have a few new prospects. And one is even interviewing me today!! :) Then, in the evening, I had dinner with a friend I haven't seen in almost a year. It was nice to catch up and talk with her for a while. When I got home at 10:00, I hopped on the computer and did a little research on the company interviewing me. Busy busy day.

Today I'm going to email a few potential employers. One guy I'm thinking about calling (too aggressive?) because I really want to work for him. Then I get all dolled up again and head back out to Oakland for that interview.

Jeeze. Finding a job is turning into a full time job itself.

Not to worry, Ballcoach. Thousands of the views of the Christmas 2008 thread came after Jan 1, 2009.
At the end of Dec 31, this year, this thread will be locked for posts but can always be viewed. And each view counts in the record book!

And with that happy thought, GOOD MORNING thread readers!
Hey! It's Friday Eve again already. How is that possible??
(Gee, the weeks are passing faster than coffee passes Binger's lips!)
And with that lead-in.......

Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85
Under a week now to the 90% Home Stretch Season mark.

Chilly here again where we stand at 55 degrees under sunny skies.
It's calm and I'm glad since it's just too early to be talking about wind-chill factors!

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends!
Remember to keep your eyes peeled (and your cameras ready) for signs of Christmas to post in our Christmas Blossoms thread which is now open and eagerly awaiting your pictures.

Congratulations on the find! I am most defintely sure that it was a good purchase as well! Good luck at finding a place to put them in the new house. You can never have too many lights! Enjoy the rest of the move as well!

Quick update. My uncle is doing better. They are going to put stents in tomorrow and that'll give him 80% better flowage. He had trouble breathing yesterday but it's because the doctors got him all worked up. I'll let you know if anything changes. Thanks for all your support!

Good morning, everyone! And, of course, a Happy October to all!

September has come and gone and I am overly surprised that it has past so quickly. It seems like just the other day I Was waiting to head back to class, now I only have two more months of them! The mix of work, school and sports has certainly never left a dull moment in my schedule. Always on the run!

Well, it is another chilly morning here in Ottawa. I was 4 C when I woke up... Thankfully, there was no windchill. It's still only 39 F, too. We're flirting with the temperature that snow can form. I love snow, but it's too early for that! It's not usually this cold this time of year, too. The forecast says it will warm up to the mid 50s and lower 60s until at least next week. I can deal with that.

There is so much to look forward to this month! As mac already stated, next weekend is Thanksgiving weekend for us Canadians. It will be real nice to enjoy a massive festive meal courtesy my girlfriend's family. I missed it last year for a concert, but I am excited to return this year! After that, I have our University National championships in Montreal and then my dad is coming to visit the next weekend. We have tickets to the Boston Bruins vs. Ottawa Senators game here. It will be exciting to go and route on the Bruins with him again this year.

Honestly, I did not realize that I had so much to do this month! Maybe this will seem even shorter than September. Who knows?! Only 43 days left until The Season and halfway through the 80s until our favourite Day! We're getting there.

Have a great day everyone. Enjoy your Thursday and I hope that October 2009 treats you well!! I am definitely expecting the Christmas Blossoms thread to overflow this month. It will be great for our moral! I will see what I can do to contribute as well. Apologies for the extended message...

Take care!

Gald to hear that he is doing better. I will keep him in my prayers.

HAPPY OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it really october. I feel like I am way behind compared to last year but I just keep telling myself that I am right on track according to my palnning and that I was just way ahead last year . Today I have to put brakes on my mom's car this afternoon. This morning will be spent doing laundry. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. I agree. I feel like Im behind too. Pulled out the Halloween stuff and put it up last night. I couldnt wait till today to do it. Plus yesterday was my day off ;) lol. In less then one month, yes Nov 1st, I put up all my Christmas stuff!

Happy October! I took my last midterm today so life can kind of slow down a little bit! This time next week I'll be in Atlanta celebrating my parent's birthdays YIPPIE! I'm so ready to go home, getting a little homesick (even though I've been away from home for some years).

Good afternoon......Today is my daughter's birthday. Having a family party tonight and a kids party on Sunday!

We miss placed a set of orange lights that we put up outside for fall and halloween. Went to 2 different walmarts to get another set and they do not have any fall/halloween outdoor lights, decorations or blow ups. I asked the lady working at one store about it and she said they did not order any for this year. I was completely dumbfounded as they had them last year and none this year. I wonder if they reduced their Christmas outdoor decorations this year too?
