Thought of yall the whole time....ended up kinda reflecting on a bunch of things...good times...good times....

Folks....thank you for being what you are. This is my home away from home.

Told yall I had a trick up my sleeve…so I’m still going to post…just not on the board!

11:59 It is with a joyous heart that I have the privilege to say to you….10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2

12:00 Friends, may you have a Merry Christmas!
With the utmost respect and love,
Ballcoach

PS….IT’S REALLY COLD HERE NOW!! But Aretha is singing Christmas tree…so it’s better…..and the laptop is in my lap and the battery is kinda warm….so that has helped to…but it’s about to go out….

12:07- Good night MMC

That was great! Thanks for sharing.

My power went out just before the end of the countdown too, but being upset about this unexpected event, I never thought to write down my thoughts. (of course, they where not nice thoughts at the time, so maybe it is good I did not write them down!!)
Turns out it was a fried squirrel that caused all the problems. He climbed the pole and shorted the transformer, frying himself in the process.

I too am glad to be able to come here and share with everyone and read all the stories and get a bit of a peek into your lives. Thanks! cheesy

That's really neat, Coach!!! Glad you could post like that even without power. It's a shame it had to go out last night of all times!!

I am in the Eastern Time Zone... My original home, however, is only about a 3 hour drive from the Central Time Zone!

Thanks for sharing Coach. You where missed last night after your power went out but we knew you where still here in spirit and we were all thinking of you. I agree that this place has quickly become like a home away from home. This summer was rough with my mom having to have surgery and not being able to walk for ten weeks but no matter how rough the day had been when I came here it cheered me up. I am sure that we both will enjoy our first christmas season at this wonderful place. It is also nice to know that there is another Junior fan out there who is also crazy about christmas and if you haven't seen it yet he starts 18th by the way.

I am easten time zone also but I stayed around to ring in the season with the central time zone. I was still up and decorating when the mountain time zone hit the midnight mark but I wasn't here to celebrate with Jeff.

May the season bring you much happiness and love
Good Luck and Good Wishes
Merry Christmas to all out there!

We have 70 - 80Mph wind gusts on the way so I doubt I will be able to start work on the outside lights during Saturday. I still haven;t even gotten around to buying the cable ties and clips to hang the lights with either! :(

Well folks I am going to call it an early night. I have alot going on tomorrow afternoon and night so I going to try and get a good nights sleep. See you all in the morning!!!!!!

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY # 2

Good Morning, Friends.
Welcome to Christmas Season 2009 day 2.

Days to Christmas Day: 41

Are we all listening to Christmas music? Watching Christmas movies? Decorating or at least planning it?

I have run through a couple of albums already: Glenn Miller's "In The Christmas Mood II" and "A Christmas Sound Spectacular".
The latter is a collection of traditional Christmas songs recorded back in 1959 and played by a carillon. It has been an annual tradition of my family to play it every Christmas for half a century now. Before the LP wore out, I copied it onto tape and have now transferred it digitally. Beautiful music if you like bells!
Also, I watched "Holiday Inn" last night and now I'm really in the Christmas spirit!

Another spirit lifter is the weather. The rain is gone, although we still have overcast skies for the moment.
The sun should be returning shortly and we will have a nice first weekend of the Christmas Season!

Have a Stupendous Saturday, Everyone, whether you listen to music, watch a movie, dance, take some Christmas-themed photos for the Blossoms thread, knit something plaid.....or just drink youself into a coffee stupor!

Hey, Guys!

In all the hoopla over reaching Christmas Sesson 2009, we have overlooked our approaching final milestone!!
On Nov 18, just four days away now, we will reach the 90% mark to Christmas Day!
(We don't want the final marker on our chart not to be recognized, do we?)

Good morning all....I am sitting here reading the posts, enjoying my coffee and listening to Christmas Music! Going to bake cookies later today and let the kids put up their tree. They are excited and can not wait! May even let them string up lights in their room too.

Picked up couple small gifts last night.....

Gotta go grocery shopping soon to get stuff for t-day!

Have a great day.

Minta....sounds like a great morning to me...I'm doing the exact same things later in the day, but not for t-day....we have a nice meal today because we get to put up our tree tonight! Going to be fun fun fun!

Good Morning all of my christmas loving friends. I am sitting here listening to christmas music playing on the tv. Today is my nieces birthday party. So I will spend the afternoon helping to decorate and then this evening at the party. My brother in laws car also broke down yesterday so I will be hooking it up to my scan tool to see if I can figure out what is wrong with it. From what he described it sounds like a transmisson problem but I hope I am wrong and that it is just something minor. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have a great time putting your tree up tonight. Mine will go up in 13 days.cheesy

It's been nasty here today, Torrential rain, 100mph wind gusts, lightning, thunder... Still haven't been able to do the outside lights. We apparently have more nasty weather on the way for Monday :(

Good afternoon!

I am watching A christmas carol, the black and white version with Alastair Sim's as Scrooge. I think this is the best version of all the ones ever made!

I have a cold so don't feel up to do very much today.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Afternoon Friends!
Wet,windy, cool here. getting the last bits of IDA.
Just gonna stay in watch movies, make snacks.

rickymallory, maybe I'm odd, but your stormy weather sounds exciting!

Hard to think of Christmas on an Indian summer day like we have here in Ohio. Sunny, breezy, blue skies, 64°F, the grass is covered with a carpet of golden brown leaves. My autumn decorations are still up (including a family of pumpkins) through the end of November. The first snowfall usually comes then.

But there is at least one Christmas item on my schedule today, and that is to finish my gift shopping online. Everybody on the gift list but one has been completed, but that last one has me stumped.
