Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday was a great Father's Day for me, except that Nancy & Elizabeth had to leave early yesterday morning. They had bought tickets to see the play "Little House on the Prarie" in Atlanta. Melissa Gibert was starring in it. She didn't realized the tickets were on Father's Day when she bought them, and she couldn't refund them, so I told her to go ahead. Jacob and I went to my mom's for the day, then we went fishing. Not too bad!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Glad to hear that you had a great day!!!!!!

Another hot and humid day here in central Indy. We have some storms going through right now but they shouldn't stick around long. I went and worked with my boss this morning and she said that I was doing a great job like normal. She didn't hang around long today. We met for breakfast at 7:30 and went to 2 of my accounts and then she decided to leave as soon as it started to rain. That was fine with me. Today I need to so some laundry and start packing for my vacation. I talked to my sister this morning and they are having a fun time expect for the heat. She said that it would definitely be nicer if the cabins had air conditioning. I don't ever remember it being that bad back by the cabins when we use to go there as kids. The whole area use to be in the shade all day long. I remember going up to the pool and it being so hot you could barely stand to walk on the cement but it is out in the the middle of a field and in the sun all day long. It has been 16 years though since the last time we rented a cabin at this state park though so I'm sure things have changed. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on one year here, Christmas-a-Holic! It wouldn't be the same without ya!!

So we bought ANOTHER house! This is our 4th offer and 2nd accepted offer (remember the flood zone house! Ack!) so we're not getting our hopes up - yet! It's always something with us with real estate, lol!! It's actually in my hometown, a block from where I grew up (my parents moved last year to the next town over but my sister just moved in about 4 blocks away!!!). It wasn't where we had envisioned ourselves living but we realize it'll be great.. the town is having a major comeback .. restaurants, etc. The house is across from the library and my kids will go to my tiny elementary school!!! Every kid walks to school and everyone knows each other.. it's so old fashioned and I am so excited about that. I am so thankful our family will be so close, too!!!

Just keeping positive.. our inspection is tomorrow so maybe I will get excited when that's over.. MAYBE! Maybe I'll just save my excitement for after settlement, lol! Talk to me on July 30th! ;)

It's my one year anniversary on these forums! :???:

Congratulations!! I definitely agree about the best forum around, too!

How very exciting! Good luck! I'm sure your kids would love going to school where you did! Those small towns can be the best places for kids to grow up, too! Good luck with the offer. I'm sure that we are all pulling for you right here!

Good morning, everyone!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day. My dad was at the cottage all day, so I was unable to speak to him. We usually only speak a couple times a month and he was here as early as last Monday. I am sure that he's all right. My younger side got the best of me at a party on Saturday and I was paying for it yesterday. I must realize that mixing beer and liquor is a very bad idea. At least I experienced it before I am in Prague and Amsterdam. I'd hate to feel as bad as I did yesterday when I'm not at home.

Overall, it was a great weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Sunny and hot. It rained for a bit on Saturday, but nothing too major... Just enough for Kim and I to cancel our apartment hunt. If you ask me, the rain was a sign. Another apartment opened at the building Kim and I viewed on Wednesday. We were hesitant to take the other apartment because it was a corner unit and the second bedroom was missing a few feet of room. This would not have been fair for Mike, especially since we are going into the hunt with the mindset as if I will be in North Bay for 6 out of 8 months of the upcoming school year. Anyway, we received an email from the building supervisor on Friday night about the other unit. She really wants us to move there! Kim was hesitant at first, but she is now realizing that there is no place that we will be receiving such a deal for an apartment in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Kim phoned the apartment last night and they will be phoning us back sometime today with a time to view. All three of us are excited about the prospect of moving! Of course, I will move back in full-time when I have completed Teachers College in April.

Plenty of excitement going on here. This is my last full week of work until July 19th. In less than 10 days, I will be on a flight to Prague. My bosses seem very excited about my trip. It's great to work in a place where they are so interested in my vacation. Ten days until Prague but only five days until the half way mark? Wow! We are nearing the top of the climb toward Christmas. We can only how that the descend will be just as smooth!!

Happy Summer Solstice to all! I look forward to this day each and every year. I like summer. Well, I like all seasons, but I'm always fascinated when the sun is at its high and low points for the year. In only six months, we will be celebrating the shortest day of the year - of course, with Christmas in mind! For today, however, it will be nice outside on the evening of the longest day of the year.

Another work week has begun. Soon enough, we will be reaching that half way milestone and enjoying another weekend! Have a great Monday, everyone!!!

good luck bout the house!!! i hope it will all work out for ya

on Thursday this week will be my last working day at the firm....it was a call-center....and they put a lot of pressure on the call-center agents....in the end....it didn´t work out no more and he fired me.....now I am without a job.....on July 22nd I will go to the Northsea with Kandice for more than 4 weeks...it´s a rehab for her lungs and all is paid by the health insurrance....after that, I will try to find another job...before that makes not much sense....I can<t tell a boss after two days of work, that I got to leave for at least 4 weeks.

Goodluck with your apartment! I used to love the Summer when I was in school but now working full time its just another day! Im not a big fan of the heat, I like to swim and go to the beach but am secretly wishing for cooler Fall days!
