your kids do karate? i have a 3 month old daughter and it's something i would love her to do (when she is old enough of course!) it's a mean world out there and i'd like to think she could defend herself.

my other half is about to watch the UFC too, he's such a fan. it's always on in my house and it gets on my nerves!

really cold in northern england, icy and a bit foggy. i love this weather!

It is going on 3am in the morning here and as I sit by the glow of my Christmas tree I'm relishing the thought that we got all the way to the Super Bowl without taking it down last year. This year I'm shooting for Easter.

I hope the glow is from the lights and not because it's on fire. I took down our real tree earlier today and it was pretty crispy. I'm getting ready to finish taking down the big artificial in a couple of minutes.

Due to a crowded January schedule, we will be enjoying our tree until the 17th of the month. Since December's calendar was also quite full, the evergreen will have been decorated less than a month when it is retired.

Happy new year to all of my Christmas loving friends!

Well, I've been MIA for pretty much the entire month of December. For someone who loves Christmas SO much, I work in a field that allows me very little time to enjoy the season. However, we had a record breaking Christmas season and hit a huge sales milestone for our store. This was really important for me as I am trying to make some headway in my company and it helps to come from a store with a good reputation. Yay! All the hard work DOES pay off :)

My Christmas was great - I did get some time here and there to take the family to see lights and decorate sugar cookies and I even finished my shopping with 2 days to spare! That might be a record for me. My daughter is 2, so this was a magical Christmas for her. She keeps asking every night for her Santa to come and bring her presents. She just loved the whole thing! Even better, she would get so excited to see Baby Jesus everytime we drove past a nativity scene. How awesome to see your little girl starting at the most basic level to understand the true meaning!

Anyways, I am excited to see the new year start. Partly because that means I get a much needed resting period from work! Mostly, I just like the fresh start that comes with a new January. I love the Christmas decorations, but it will feel good to get them packed up and my house completely cleaned. We'll be starting some major house projects this year in order to get our house ready to sell. A lot of exciting things going on.

That being said - let the countdown to next season begin! I love the anticipation of the season. I'm looking forward to spending 2010 counting down the days with you all :)

who will get the 100th postof this new thread?

Wow, I didn't realize this thread was this active! I guess I still have a lot to learn on these forumscheesy.

One thing I used to look forward to this time of year was the Daytona 500 and the start of the NASCAR season. But that ended as soon as they started that stupid chase thing. I absolutely hate that new format, to me all they had to do was revamp the points. Like giving a lot more points to the winner and maybe even cutting off points past the 24th finishing position. I tried to stay interested in it, but now when I see someone win a race or with the point lead, I think so what, that won't matter when there are 10 races to go. To me it makes the rest of the season meaningless, but that's me, I am sure there are people out there that like it (like Jimmy Johnson fans), and that's fine for them, I choose not to watch it anymore.

Happy New Year!!!

after living back in the Sault for three plus weeks. quote]

Will you explain more about "the Sault"?

It's like a mirror of my city. My mother grew up there. I've only been there twice so I better let Brent answer that one. cheesy

:hello: I'm hoping to make the best of today, tomorrow it's back to work after being away since 3:15 on Christmas Eve. Wonder how many emails and phone messages I'll have to return before I get down to business.

Crown, I can't have anymore mid-day naps until the weekend or another batch of holidays or vacation come my way.

WHA...? Say it ain't so, Auntie!

Good Morning, my chilly (but warm-hearted) Friends!

The temp just keeps getting colder. It was in the low 20's when I got up and it's only up to 23 as I type this through chattering fingers.
It is predicted to stay this way through most if not all of next week.
And a light breeze makes it feel even colder. At least there is lots of sun.

Days to the Season: 314
Days to Christmas Day:356
Two weeks from today - our first Milestone of 2010 - the 300-Day Season window!

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone.
Coming up.....our first full week of 2010, during which we will drop down to single digits to Milestone # 1!

Mornin'....trying to gear up mentally for my 1st business trip of the New Year. Headed to San Francisco and LA tomorrow. Seems like only last week I was in Denver. (Sigh-- it was only last week I was in Denver. No fair). Today's nap will be savored because by this time tomorrow it will be a distant memory.
