Good evening all!

Today was a great day, one of those days you thank God you are a parent. We were busy all day had some errands to run, kept the kids busy, and my 2 y/o had a good 2 hour nap. Woke him up and I was going to grill steaks but they were still frozen so we quickly made plans to go out to the Steaming Tender restaurant (an old train station turned into restaurant) it has got RR tracks on both sides of the restaurant and an old retired 1915 steam locomotive in the parking lot. My boys were excellent, at the restaurant they ate their whole meals and to see their faces light up when the trains go by was priceless. I finished my meal quickly and took my boys outside to watch the trains, so my wife and sister and her 1 y/o daughter could finish their meals in peace. They checked out the old locomotive, the trains that went by not more than 15 feet away from us. It was just great to see them like that. Then we went to our favorite ice cream stand, had our ice cream, they fed the goats and played on the playground until nearly 9PM way past their bed time but they deserved it. Just a great day!

Have a good night all!

Oh...it sounds like you had an AMAZING day!!! Family really is the BEST!!!

And a HAPPY Friday morning to all of my Chrsitmas friends!!!

I stayed up late last night - on MMC. I just couldn't pull myself away cheesy!

But alas...it is now 4:30am and I have to get ready for work. Just thought I would drop in to wish all of you a SUPER day!

I had a Christmas song stuck in my head yesterday (its not there now...because I cannot remember what it was) - and I was humming it all day long! Hmmmmm...wonder if anyone heard me? :hello:
Now I am singing "Its Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" in my head. Probably because on this site...IT DOES! YA!

Bye for now. I'll be back!

Happy Friday friends! So tomorrow will be my 1st time (hopefully) attending the Hallmark premiere. Can you guys tell me what usually happens? Are all the ornaments out? Or do they bring them out one by one? Also Im not sure if I can find a sitter...do you think its kid friendly or should I wait until my Hubby can watch the kids for a little bit and go by myself? I dont want to be the only one there with kids. I would appreciate your comments..thanks and have a great day everyone!

Is it really Friday?!?! I am seeing these happy Friday posts and I didn't even it realize it was already the end of the week, lol!!! In that case - HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I am so excited for the Hallmark ornament premiere!!! MsChristmas, I believe they are just all out on display and Dreambooks should be available to pick up. My little guy and I looked through that book SOOOO many times last summer... it really put me in the spirit! I've been seeing a few Christmas in July sales recently... exciting! My husband just called to try to convince me we need a 47" TV because it was advertised as a Christmas in July special... I told him nice try, but you can't trick me into a monster TV just b/c there's a Christmas special in the title, lol!!!

Ok, off to watch some Caillou with Jude... I'm so proud of him - he's been using his potty voluntarily!!! We figured we wouldn't push since we're moving again soon and the baby is coming next month, but he is loving his potty! We're going to pick up some Toy Story undies today.. too cute! :)

Rain??? Send some our way, Christmasstar... I vaguely remember what rain is... although, can it wait until tomorrow afternoon after the painter is done painting the outside trim at our new house?? :-)

They do have some breakables in the store so as long as you have a stroller I think you will be fine. I use to take my kids there when they were little. The kids loved looking at the animated ornaments.

Indeed it is.
Which also means it's Weekend Eve!
Which in turn means we should check on the count!
(Not that we don't every day, anyway.)
Days to the Season: 127
Days to Christmas Day: 169
The 2/3 Season mark is now a scant 5 days away.
Incredible!
(And I don't need to point out how close we are to DOUBLE DIGITS to the Season, do I?)

Well, we didn't break 100 degrees again yesterday, but we came close at 99.
We are supposed to have a "cool" 94 today, then a downright frigid 88 for Saturday with a 60% chance of rain (something we desperately need as we are rapidly moving into a drought situation)

Anyway, have a Fabulous Friday and and Exciting Eve of the Weekend, Folks.
May the spirit of the Christmas Season be with you!

We are getting the same break here. It has been raining most of the night and this morning but it looks like this is the last line to come thorugh. The high today is only supposed to be 82 so I have the windows open and the AC turned off. cheesy

There have been a few christmas in July sales going on here to. It is great to see commercials on TV again talking about Christmas.

I am gald to hear that the potty training is going well. My sister has been working with my youngest niece but she hasn't been cooperating real well. She kept saying that she wanted big girl panties like her sissy so my sister took her to the store and let her pick out a pack of minnie mouse panties. While they where at the store my sister kept telling her that she couldn't potty in them and my niece kept saying okay mommy. When they got home and my sister went to put them on her my niece said I potty on minnie and my sister told her no she had to potty in the toilet and my niece said no minnie and ran over and got a pull up and put on.

Good friday morning everyone!!!!!!! I don't have much going on today. I have some cleaning around the apartment to do and a couple loads of laundry. Then it will be time to kick back and watch some nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's hot down south, too. Here's our forcast for today:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

The advisory has been issued for these Georgia counties: Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Bulloch, Screven, Candler, Evans, Tattnall, Long and McIntosh. It also includes these South Carolina counties: Hampton, Jasper and Beaufort.

A very hot air mass is forecasted to be in place on Friday across southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia today. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees, according to the NWS. Those temperatures combined with moderate humidity will result in heat index values of 105 to 109 degrees late this Friday morning into early the evening.

The combination of heat and humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible, according to the NWS. It recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying out of the sunshine, checking on the elderly and staying in air conditioning.
Ugh.

I think I'll just hang out on MMC and think merry thoughts! :snowball:

Have a great day everyone! cheesy

Need to come back to the mountains. It's warm here but not like that...

My wife left Tuesday for a mission trip to Trinidad and will be gone 8 days. I certainly miss her but it has been a nice time with my son. He is 14 now so I know there is not much time left. Hate to see him grow up.

Well it is hot enough here for peoples air conditioners to burst into flames. I saw a firetruck pull up to the apartment building next to mine about 30 minutes ago. I was expecting to see an ambulance pull in behind them because I know one of the neighbors over there is having some health issues. Instead they all jumped out in full fire gear with face masks on and oxygen tanks on their backs. I didn't see any smoke or flames so I knew it wasn't that bad. One of the guys took in a fire extinguisher and they all came back out about 3 minutes later and started getting back into the firetruck. A couple of them walked around the building just to make sure that nothing else had caught fire and after about ten minutes they all left. The maintenance guy for the apartments showed up with one of his helpers a few minutes later and they carried out a blackened air conditioner. So I assuming that with it being so hot out the last week that it must of just decided that it didn't want to work anymore and set itself on fire.

Well, I was trying to plot on my wife to get her to go to the premiere tomorrow, but she is insisting that we go out tonight and do some shopping tonight and get our groceries. Looks like I might lose in this one, but I got one more ace up my sleeve....one last chance. I will let you know how it goes.
