Good Evening Everyone!!!!!!! It is a beautiful day here in central Indy. The snow and ice are almost gone and they are calling for highs in the 50's for the next week. Yesterday and today have flown by. I spent almost all day yesterday babysitting my nieces and then I went out with a few single friends. Valentines day isn't my favorite holiday but it is one holiday closer to Christmas!!! Today I have been busying trying to get some stuff done around the apartment and helping my sister do some research on different cell phone plans. Tonight I am going to kick back and watch NCIS and NCIS:LA. I hope everyone had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow my Wife has the interview to see if she can get the job at the other daycare that William is at. Hopefully she gets the job!.

I will be praying that she gets it!!!!!

Hi guys! So I decided to start the Couch to 5k program tomorrow, thanks to Christmas-a-Holic (Are you still going strong, Sheila?? I am going to message you about it!) I am nervous but excited! I am NOT a runner but I want to feel healthier... after having Noel a few months ago, I just feel.. blah. So hopefully this will whip me into shape again!

How was Valentine's? Boring here... we're not big on V-Day celebrations. I cooked the hubby his favorite meal but Jude insisted on eating with him ALONE (he loooves his daddy!) so I just relaxed with Noel, my tiniest Valentine!! :)

I got a call from a trucking company!!!!
They like my resume and just need to check out my driving records and will call me with in 48 hours!
After that I do 2 weeks of pre hire testing and then I will know if I actually get hired. cheesy

I hope they hire you.

Good evening folks! I took a nap which I never do in the middle of the day! hope I'm not up all night! I bet most of you have noticed I keep up with the weather, with my job I have to follow weather reports because I work in Air traffic control,so I follow all the long range models that the meteorologist get thier weather reports from and right now the long range models predict a mid atlantic/Northeast snow storm in about 2 weeks, and that is getting me excited, although the long range models can be very wrong it is something I am keeping an eye on! I hope everyone is having a good night!

Oh no, not that 4 letter word again. cheesy

I guess I know how you feel,I have not ran in a few weeks and basically since december and I feel blah too...I am starting back in the morning just drinking water and I am going to attempt to run, doubt I will make it 4 miles but I will try. It is amazing how fast you biuld up. and it is also amazing how good it makes you feel when you are done...when I run I set imaginary goals to get through when I think I cant go any more! running has always been "my time" away from everything and I can think things through while I run...good luck!:snowball:

That's exciting news!!!

Good afternoon, Christmas friends. The weather turned really windy, rainy and chilly today here in northern California. Hubby and I have an Elks meeting tonight that includes the election of officers. We will also induct several new members. Then it will back home to watch some T and V. Hope you all have a great rest of the evening.

Valentines

I was raised in the old days, so we all gave valentines to everyone in our class. No question!!! I would never have thought of not giving a valentine to everyone. Plus I had a Steel Magnolia for a mother who would not have allowed it either. What is with our attitudes and where do we get them????? I know the answer, do you? (At least I THINK I do.) What do you think?

That is my main goal as well, to feel better! Right now I could care less about how I finish in the 5k completion, just as long as I finish. Today I had a set back and have been sick all day. At least today was not on the schedule to run since you are only suppose to run 3 days a week and not in a row. I ran on Monday and today I was just going to walk on the treadmill. I attempted it and only lasted 10 minutes and ended up in bed the rest of the day. I plan to go to sleep extra early tonight so I can feel better tomorrow since it's on the schedule to run. I am afraid that even if I feel better I will not have enough energy since I been in bed all day. :-? I will try though. Be sure to get in touch with me on it. I could use a friend to work on this program with me! I am into week 2 right now.

By they way, I am not a runner either and never have been. My brother has been one for probably 10 years and inspired me to give it a try.

Best of luck to you!

Bullying

I do not remember bullying when I was in school. Like I said, I was raised in the old days and people seemed more tolerant. Not any drug babies that I knew of!!! In my school, we had one (and only one) student who would be classified as special ed. But we didn't have special ed back then. NO ONE would ever have made fun of her for any reason. I think we were all protective of her. I don't see that at all nowadays. How sad. I am not sure when I first recall recognizing bullying at school. It is now so serious that we have to have assembies on the subject. We have to be diligent in tracking what appears to be bullying. On a sad note, we do not have support at our school to help us with bullying. I handle it myself because the administration does not want to confront parents because she might have problems with the parents of the bully and his or her family and because it would give her a black name with higher administration (fear of too many negative comments that might make her lose her job). This is the saddest thing at my school. I cannot believe that someone would put his or her own interest before the safety and well-being of students. What I started doing was to document ALL my reports of bullying with copies of everything and with getting info from the students directly and making those comments available to the principal. For me, this has done the trick; but I wonder how many other teachers don't do this. I want things documented that I did my part, but the admin failed! Sorry that I have rambled, but this is a SORE subject with me!!!!!!

Get better!!! Okay. You got me wondering, so I will check out the Couch to ...I just forgot where you go when you get up from the couch!!

Actually I was kinda bullied in elementary and middle school (it was a private catholic school) because I was the shy quiet kid in the class, and also my mom was very strict, because she was born and raised in Portugal where her family was poor she made sure us kids were educated she made each one of us pick a musical instrument and take lessons. I chose piano and took 8 years of lessons, back then in the 80's it was not "cool" for a guy to play piano. after 8th grade I graduated and went to public school where things were much better, but i have to admit I don't have many good memories from 1st grade through 8th!I'm glad schools are getting tough on bullying now!

I wish when I was in school that I would have teachers like you, Seawaters. Perhaps then the bullying I had to go through every day would have been stopped. I applaud your passion and dedication. You are a wonderful teacher and person !! xo

As a survivor of bullying myself, I am so sorry you had to go through such a horrible experience. You are an amazing and talented young man and you should be VERY proud of YOU !! xo
