Well, I am blessed to be here!
It was just me & DD, camping out in the basement bathroom. DD said she was scared of the storm. I asked her who protects us, and after thinking of Daddy & Mommy, she remembered that Jesus takes care of Mommy & Daddy too. We had just discussed that praying was talking to Jesus just like talking to anyone else. She laid down between the tub & toilet & said, "Jesus, please protect us. Amen." Then she fell asleep and snored through the storm!

Very glad to see you on here - what a precious daughter you have!

Good news!

My cat appeared to be getting worse and I was worried we might have to take him back to the vet. Today, he is up venturing through the house and eating better. For the past week he mostly laid in one spot or just in my lap. I am glad he is getting curious again and roaming around. He is not fully recovered but it's a good sign!

I'm so glad your cat is doing better!

I have wanted XM/Sirius forever, mainly for the Christmas music , and the NHL channel of course. I hope you enjoy it.

I had Sirius with my satellite programming a few years back and I only listened to the holiday channel cheesy

I hope the water in your basement stays low, and I am glad to hear Mouse is doing better.

Thank you!

I think the tape is called Magic Tape. Yeah, that's right, Magic Tape. Wait, you say it's NOT new? Oh, well! In the voice of AnnaRosannaDanna: "Never mind!"

I seriously wish all of us on MMC could meet someday at some sort of MMC convention !!

I want to give you ALL big ((((((HUGS))))))) in person and sit down and visit with you. My vision is all of us kind of in a comfortabe room with a cup of coffee or whatever chatting !!!! It would be AMAZING !!!!!

MMC convention would be so much fun!!!!!!!!!

OMG !! I LOVE H.P. Lovecraft !!! I didnt think anyone still knows who he was !!! xo

Me, too!

Good evening everyone! I feel like I am 90 years old tonight. I had a baseball game today and it went fine and all but when I got home tonight I can't move. My lower back is OUT.

Hope your back improves!

Well as Christmas-A-Holic said, I played in a best ball golf tournament today. I was so nervous since I haven't played for about 10 years, but I played better than I thought I would, had some really good tee shots.

Congratulations - sounds like you had a lot of fun!

Diana's death was the first "celebrity" death that I remember crying over. As in, seriously crying over.

I cried over her death, too - I admired her so much!

If I never hear another tornado siren in my life it will be too soon. There were times last Wednesday when the siren wouldn’t even be cleared from one warning before another sounded.

By now most of the major highways have been cleared of debris. However, crews will be working for months to come to clear the roadside of all the debris that was removed from the lanes of traffic. There are still very large numbers of people without power as crews work to restore downed tower structures and transmission lines. Many larger cities such as Huntsville, AL have a dusk to dawn curfew. To be out on the streets at night without working traffic signals is just too dangerous .

A major route is being shut down locally this morning while cadaver dogs search for more victims. The death numbers you are seeing reported are only the confirmed. Sadly, this same scenario is being played out throughout Central and Northern Alabama as well as parts of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Some local TV and radio stations finally started showing regular programs on a limited basis yesterday but for the most part are broadcasting local recovery information.

Understand that all is well in my part of the state…considering. The carnage and destruction begins one county down and one county over from me in Alabama and two counties southwest into Mississippi. The small towns of Smithville, Mississippi, Hackleburg, Alabama, and Phil Campbell, Alabama are no more. These close knit communities are hurting. Literally every person left of the population has suffered loss of family members and property. Three people from the office where I work lost homes or suffered serious property damage. One man from the office from which I retired lost his mother. Her funeral is today. Certainly there are many small communities across the region experiencing the same trial.

Forgive me for being a downer but this is the first time I have even been emotionally recovered enough to talk about it. My FaceBook status of last Thursday was all I could say at the time. My wife, children, grandchildren, and brother (though his power is off) are safe. We are blessed.

I sure would like to hear from Sugarplum Fairy. I did hear from primchristmas in hard hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama (about 110 miles south of me) yesterday. Her power was out and she has been out in the community helping her friends in true need. The Christmas Spirit personified!

Alabama Emergency Management Agency

Thank you for the update, RJD - my thoughts and prayers are with all those affected in any way by these storms - ((((hugs))))

we survived here.. tornadoes hit 25 miles west and 30 miles south- minor damage .. what a wild time...

YABBA!

I'm glad you are okay, Binger!

Heard from my cousins in Jasper, AL.
They are OK. Just a few trees down in the area.

I'm glad cousins are OK!

feeling very tired...it is only 9:30pm...but I am so tired, i could go to bed just now. in case I do, i wish you guys a good night and sweet dreams!!!

Sweet dreams, track!

The weather is picture-postcard-beautiful today! Bright and sunny with a blue, blue sky. If it were just a couple degrees warmer I'd call it perfect. I hope everyone is enjoying Sunday.

Good Sunday afternoon!

Mouse is a lot better - thank you so much for all the prayers! Today I went out and bought her ceramic food and water bowls and I know when I switch them with her old plastic side by side bowl, she will be very upset - she does not like change. I was reading online that one of the reasons she could be acting the way she was is that she might be allergic to her plastic food bowl.

The basement did not have to be pumped out - great news! It is still very damp down there, though. I will have to go down there eventually to bring up the glass I want to get ready for next month. Hopefully it will have dried out some by then. I have a dehumidifier down there, but not sure if it is up to so big of a task.

We had a good month at the booth - sold some of the older stock and some of the bigger items that were taking up space. Even sold some of the books - yay!

Have a great evening!!!!!!!

Made582-it looks like you in the midwest are forever getting rain...hope it does not flood too bad around there!

They are predicting rain for 5 of the next 7 days.:-? Luckily we don't really flood much where I am at unless it comes down really heavy. Southern Indiana has not been so lucky though.

I have been dozing in and out this afternoon. this back pain medicine is making me groggy but is really helping with the spasms. I was half sleeping and half listening to home alone2 a while ago and when it got to the part where the joe pesci and daniel stern where sliding down the rope that was on fire,I was dreaming I was trying to climb up a rope that was on fire trying to out run the fire...sounds silly now but I never have vivid dreams like that. I have to be better tomorrow to go to work. And I think I will be. I can sit at my desk all day if I have to,It's the stairs I am worried about. there is like 7 flights of them I have to walk up. It is a very sunny day here temps are in the 80's and my a/c is running full blast,I got my april power bill and it was not at all bad,but from here on out It will be sky high I imagine. hope everyone has a great afternoon,I am going to go back to lala dream land for now!
good to hear you are feeling better. cheesy

Good Sunday afternoon, my Chirstmas friends!

I've been outside hunting bugs for my son's school report. He has to have dragonflies, grasshoppers, butterflies, beetles, etc. I spend all afternoon catching one dragonfly. Those crazy teachers sometimes don't think about what they're asking! I guees I'll have to drive to Statesboro and try to find a butterfly net that I can buy. Grrr.

I worked at the store yesterday, then went to my cousin's house for dinner with her family and her brother's family. I was great to get us all together! My cousin Ed has played in the band with me since the early 80's, and things have been slowing for the band in the last two years. Everyone is married with kids, and too busy to play, but last night he played piano and we sang for hours. What fun!

Now I'm out the door to my in-laws for a dinner of boiled peanuts. Sorry, CAH!

I hope you all have a great evening! cheesy

Hey, friends! Sorry, I haven't been around, but I'm battling the flu! High fever, body aches, not a good weekend. Just want to drop by and say hi. See yall tonight!

I will be praying that you feel better soon friend!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes with my back. I finally made it upstairs and got in my whirlpool and put epson salt in it and soaked a good hour and feel much better. I am going to a chiropractor tomorrow if it still hurts. Maybe I just pulled something..I don't know. I am still going to sleep in my recliner tonight to be on the safe side. I hope everyone had a good and peaceful weekend. I can't believe May is here..seems just like yesterday it was may last year.:) Have a good night all and I will talk to you all tomorrow!

I am going to take a break from organizing scrapbook stuff to cook dinner. Then I am going to read and veg in front of the TV. It's back to work for me tomorrow! I have been lazy all week. Have a great evening, everyone!

We will continue to pray for all those affected.

I hope the sirens don't go off today, that must really be quite scary when that happens.
No sirens today! =)
Afterward, we got together with a few friends and played the new Michael Jackson dance game for Kinect. I did my favorite MJ song, Beat It, and did rather well. I love dancing games!
Sounds like fun!

I have had crazy dreams like that before. So entertaining, huh? cheesy

CAH and Coach- It looks like you guys are under a tornado watch again. Stay Safe!!!!!!!!!
I didn't even know that! I was at work and we didn't hear any report of it. Thanks for updating us though. cheesy
Good afternoon, Christmas friends. It is sunny and clear with breezes here in northern California. I am as bad as GBD and his vivid dreams. I dreamed I had to have a substitute next week for state testing, and she let the kids use red ink pens and mark up their tests. She let one little girl cut out a picture that was on the test, and she let one boy take his test home to finish it!!! Weird, weird, weird. We do start testing on Tuesday, but I definitely don't want to be out! I hope you all have a safe and wonderful afternoon!
As I was just telling Gabulldawg, I have some crazy dreams all the time!

Glad you are safe!
If you ever held a convention there, I wonder if you could get special rates and privileges because we're a Christmas group ... ?

There are probably other Christmas-sounding place names, too. I'll post 'em if I can remember any.

.
There is a Santa Claus, Georgia and North Pole, Alaska! cheesy
