Thank you, everyone, for the well wishes for Palmer. He seems to be better than he was this morning. Right now he is basking in the sun on the back porch . I got him to eat a few pieces of Maui's food and then he played for a few minutes. He sounds like he has a cold - poor little guy.

Oh, poor little peanut - hope it clears up for him.

Good Evening Everyone!!!!!!! It is good to see everyone on the east coast checking in. I have been praying for all of you. I just got home from the Jim Shore signing. He is a really nice guy and takes the time to chat with everyone while he signs your pieces. That is why it took me almost 3 hours to get to him even though I was only about a 1/4 of the way back. I hope he didn't have an early flight home. I was going to get my picture taken with him but my batteries were dead when I got to the store and I couldn't believe that hallmark didn't have any batteries for sell. So instead of buying batteries I bought another Santa and the nativity star ornament. I'll try to post pictures soon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

way cool, that sounds so awesome :)

Hello friends, greetings from Middle America. Best wishes for a wonderully safe and happy week.

hey everyone. hope all are doing fine.......it doesnt feel like fall totally .... but a least a bit.....so much, that Kandice has to wear long pants now again and only a shirt....and in the morning she needed a pullover to keep her warm :D

been arranging the kitchen the last two hours and doing laundry all the while....it is time to catch up with a lot of housework

I've got half of a batch of pear chutney cooking on the stove - smells wonderfully spicy and vinegary in here. :???:

Hey everyone. It has been a long HOT day here,I am ready to relax and catch up on emails from a whole week. 4 weeks and I am home! I hope everyone is having a good monday. and I hope Xmas 365 and MerryCarry have made it through Irene! and anyone else living in the mid atlantic and Northeast!

Happy Monday, everyone! Well, I spent most of the day outside yesterday picking up leaves and branches and odd pieces of trash that got blown into the yard, but otherwise everything seems back to normal here. We lost power at around midnight Saturday night, but we were surprised to see it come back by lunchtime on Sunday. Usually when we loose power in my neighborhood, we're out for days. Thanks, BGE!

Meanwhile, a lot of businesses in the area are still running on generators, including many of the pharmacies our office deals with. I'm hoping that everyone has their power back soon, and that everyone came out allright from the storm.

So here I was trying to catch up on all that I missed this weekend. As I was reading through it was so touching that so many were looking out and sending good wishes to other members. Sometimes I sit back and read these posts and it makes my heart glad and my soul feel refreshed. You here so many bad stories that the good gets lost and this place is good, I don’t know why more people haven’t caught on. I know it is a “Christmas” website, but it is so much more than that. We come for all over and yet here we are all getting along, caring about each other and really isn’t that what it is all about after all. Being there, it really is a wonderful thing. I told my “troubled” youth group about this site. I got the “oh- yeah’s and whatever’s” and a few other words I won’t repeat, but I think I touched two of the kids, they ask about my “Christmas Friends” and how are they, I know you cannot save everyone, and some do not want it but some do. I know these kids have done some horrible things and I could say why bother they are bad, but if I can help one and MMC has a small part of it than doesn’t that mean we all did it, me and the entire MMC. I even had them pick out a few of the recipes I submitted we made them together and we voted. It amazes me that something like this could help. It does, I cannot wait to update them this week on what we all went through with Irene and how everyone was asking about regular posters. I tell them all the times, we are people who many never actually meet face to face but our love of God/Jesus/Christmas has brought us all together. Two of my kids have been touched by this site, I know it is just a crack I have a long road with them but I hope this crack in their shield will one day be a gaping hole and they can learn it isn’t where you came from it is where you are and where you are going so take stock it is NEVER too late to find love/family/friendships. Thank you MMC family for making me smile and reconfirming that people are better than good they are wonderful.

lauriebear: What you are doing with these kids is a great thing! God has given you a great gift to work in mysterious ways! Keep up the great work! God Bless You and I pray that the kids find strength to keep building themselves to be better people as well!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, I went to the courthouse this morning and qualified for mayor. Regular qualifying dates are today through Wednesday, and write-in candidates have until mid-September. After that, assuming no one else qualifies, I'll be on my way to being mayor of our little town. Ain't that crazy? LOL...

Good afternoon MMC family! It's not been a very adventurous day here so far...both my kids are napping as we speak. I have a pot of chili on the stove and it smells so good! I did help my husband do a few things around the house this am that I was able to do - feeling a little better everyday! Hope everyone has a great day! :-D

the last mashine of laundry is runnin right now....i am starting an waltons episode now to relax and feel cozy. kandice is puttin on her jammies and slowly gets ready to go to bed.

Sorry it has taken me forever to post!!! We are all good the worst was we lost power until about 10 PM last night!!! So I am not complaining at all!!! Wow, I tell you I live on Long Island and well to be honest I did everything they said so nothing flew away, windows secured, the only thing was my poor doggie she had to go and well she normally knows never on the grass she was so confused with the wind and the rain and me telling her it's OK, she finally went, I felt so bad for her. But, we are OK. Just a lot of cleaning to do. I hope everyone one in the South was OK, I haven't checked in with all the posts and not to sure if I will be able to until tomorrow. Just know I am thinking of you all and hope all was as good with you.

Glad to see you are okay and that was the worst of the destruction! As I've always said, property and materials can be replaced, but people and memories can't be!

I also have a bone density scan tomorrow morning.QUOTE]

Good luck with your test. Have you ever had one done before? I've had them done a few times (and I'm only 25!)...anyway, I have a family history of osteoporsis and where I work, then offer it free from time to time, so I ge it checked. It's a breeze if you've never had it done before. Good luck and I'll hope for good results for you! :)

You guys are lucky. I talked to a cousin in Buffalo, NY yesterday afternoon. She said it was in the mid-60's at that time. It was 98° in the shade here yesterday! It was 100° at lunch today! Whew!

It is 73 in Central Pa and is getting down into the 50's at night. I actually wish it was a little warmer still during the day! Fall is my favorite season, but I'm not prepared for the weather yet!

Hey Christmas Family ! Just stopping in super quick - Had to share with you that I got my copy of Christmas Ideals for 2011 today from Amazon !!!!!!! I can't wait to read it but will save it for when I am done with work tonight as a treat !!

BRADMAC FOR MAYOR !!!!!!!!!!:???::???:

I was going to ask you if you were inundated with calls this week - my mom is an agent, too, and said it was nuts!!!

I hope this storm fizzles out and leaves us the heck alone... thinking of you, my Christmas cousin!! :sparkle:

Hey Im here...just been busy at work! Not a whole lot of damage in our neck of the woods. Closer to the water there was some minor flooding but nothing major. Quite a few trees down but a lot better then it could have been!
