How does everyone prepare their groundhog?

I prefer roasted with a good course salt and herb rub.

I sure hope he is right about spring coming early, or else I will try groundhog for the first time. cheesy

Good Morning (or is it?). Woke up to frozen hot water pipes in just one of my bathrooms. I fear the worst of a possible pipe busted. The temperatures will not go above freezing until this weekend. This is not a common problem here so I am not sure what to do yet. I just hope nothing is broken. The cold water turns on but the hot water doesn't. I am just going to google to see what I can do in the meantime and then just wait and see.

On top of all of that I didn't sleep well last night. I am sleepy!

I hope you all have a great day today! cheesy

I hope it is alright, if you get running again, and it stays cold, keep the water dribbling out of the faucet.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had family night supper at my inlaws last night. My mother-in-law owns and operates a southern cooking restaurant and catering business, so she's used to cooking in large quantities, which is good since we had about 15 people last night.

Fresh mustard greens, fried chicken, fried quail, baked macaroni & cheese, black-eyed peas, rolls, and pear salad. Whew! That's good stuff, but my favorite is the fresh mustard greens. Yum, yum!

I eat at her restaurant everyday at lunch. It's no wonder I have to watch my weight VERY closely!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Sounds yummy!
When I started eating over my in laws house when my wife and I dated I went from 175lbs up to over 200lbs.

Good morning, Christmas Family !

The weather is quite nasty here as it is in a lot of places. It started out about 40 degrees and has now dropped significantly to 29 degrees. We had a power outage last night around midnight that lasted about 3 hours. I felt bad for the crew outside in the cold and snow and whatever trying to fix it. I know that is their job but I still felt bad for them.

We have a fireplace and we will be taking advantage of that today. It is my last day with my present company and as usual I am out of work. As our Jewish friends say "Oy Vey !!" or something like that !!

Have a wonderful day family and please if you have time, pray that have made the right decision. I just hope I chose the right company to go with.

Blessings and (((((HUGS))))) to all xo

Congrats on your last day at the old company. I think you made the right choice, you were able to find a new job in this economy, almost like you were meant to take this chance. You will do a great job, I am 100% certain.

Happy Groundhog day everyone, well Punxy Phil did not see his shadow , which translates into an early spring. Only being 26 miles from the infamous Groundhog , I will tell you that it was raining this am. So perhaps that has something to do with the lack of a shadow. Last time I remember the Infamous Phil, not seeing his shadow was in 1995. So if those of you can remeber whatthe weather was like that year it may add or dtract from his credibilty.

Hope all are having a good morning I am subbing this am. Kinda tired, was up way too late looking at vintage ornaments:cry: on eBay.

Did you find any good ones?
I always try to find a good deal on a bubble light centerpiece its kind of kitschy but I like it and would be very unique to have one.

Well just got the word, I am going to work today.:-? Could use a day off, but oh well, if we didn't work I wouldn't get paid either, so I guess it's just as well. Hope everyone enjoys their day and stays warm.

Have a good day at work and be careful on the roads.

Gooooooood afternoon, and happy groundhog day!

I am home the weather has kept me off the roads, went out and did all my shoveling, and I am exhausted and have a killer headache. I am catching up on all the posts, while I am watching, wait for it...Groundhog Day! I love that movie. I am missing Christmas very much today, just wish I had my tree still up. I put on my Frosty the Snowman t-shirt to help me through it. I hope everyone is safe, and warm.
Have a great day! :tree:

Unfortunately I only had the cold water faucets dripping. The cold is working fine but the hot is frozen, still! It's only in one bathroom, thank goodness.

You can't shut the power off on all the overhype what will ESPN have to talk about then. cheesy

I hope you have a good nap!
Not just ESPN but every single one of our local news channels is doing so much coverage on the Super Bowl that it's insane! They even had a helicopter follow the caravan of the Packers and Steelers arriving here in Dallas with police escorts. They use up the whole news show for it to the point where a lot of people are complaining about it. I don't mind it so much, this is the first time we ever got the Super Bowl here. It's better than listening to the awful stuff that happens in this world. It will all be over soon and those who want the old news back will get it. cheesy

You crazy kids...You warm my heart...For anyone who played along with my friend Binger, I thank you...Binger and I have talked about meeting for the past years...Perhaps 2011 is the year to do so...I'll be sworn to secrecy about their true identity! Maybe we could add Crown and I'll go and meet them and have no idea who I'm looking for!!!

Hard to believe we are in February already...There is a date in September that I sort of revolve my year around and that date is when the Season is just over the next hill, as it were...And that date will be five months gone in only two weeks!!! How does that happen???

The great Groundhog Day blizzard left some snow, some ice and some rain in my yard...No harm done...What a winter...For anyone who is a snow lover like me, this may keep me snow satiated for two or three years!!!

I'm blessed to know you folks, and blessed to call you my friends!!!

I hear it is actually pretty good. The ranger at the scout camp I worked at use to roast them up.

Made, you makin it ok, friend?

Binger....coffee going?

I know what can melt the snow....Darlene Love!

Well after spending all afternoon chipping ice off the sidewalk I have finally got it done. I didn't get it all chipped off my mom's parking space so she will have to just be careful in the morning. It would have been nice if the maintenace staff for my apartments would have come around and done it but they are never in a hurry to do anything.

Okay I am taking the laptop outside to see if she can melt 3 inches of ice. I'll let you know how it turns out!!!
