Also, thanks to everyone for taking time to say something about my friend's father's death. I have been taking it rather hard (I don't deal with death well at all), but my friend is doing well. We are having a service for him on Saturday, so we'll see how that goes.

I will continue to keep you and your friends family in my prayers.

Hey guys! we are expecting severe weather tonight around 4 am:( I am watching the weather channel and most of North Alabama has been devasted tonight according to what I am hearing...I hope all the members here especially those in North AL are okay.

It looks like GA is getting it pretty bad right now so Stay Safe Friend!!!!!

This wasn't a good day. I'm sure by now those of you in the USA have seen some horrific scenes from the region.

We were blessed not to have been hurt or worse and to have no significant damage. At least one of co-workers was not as fortunate. Thankfully none in her family were seriously hurt but two of their homes were destroyed.

My heart is heavy for the families in areas near me and not so near me that did not fair as well. For the first time since retiring from public service in 2006 I feel a little remorse and helpless in not being a part of the emergency response. Thank GOD for those that still do including many of my former colleagues! Their next few weeks will not be easy.

I'm glad to hear that your okay. My prayers are going out for everyone that has been affected by this terrible weather.

Greetings fellow Christmas lovers. Work/life has been really busy and really wonderful. Have not been able to get on here as much as I'd like. Sometimes all I can do is come on and thank you guys for keeping this wonderful forum going. Happy Wednesday to all!

We are always glad to see you here!

LOL - I get eye rolls, too... but I have converted my oldest so far and will make the baby into a Christmas junkie, too! Then we will take over the house! Maybe we can leave a tree up year-round then! :)

Speaking of trees, I saw someone with a artificial tree on their porch with lights and decorated with plastic eggs foe Easter last week. I wish I had thought of it. cheesy

The Weather Channel was calling this the worst tornado outbreak in history. .

It's pretty bad when Dr. Forbes says he has seen more torando debris clouds on radar in one day than he has in his whole career combined.

We got a hold of my mother-in-law and she is safe, so far. Sad news is, she had to put one of her dogs asleep today. She is heartbroken. =(

I'm sorry to hear that. My prayers go out to her.

Good afternoon, Christmas family.

I am praying for all who may be in the path of this severe weather. I hope all my dear Christmas family are safe including those of us in parts of Ohio !

I am a little scared and creeped out right now family. My husband was doing some maintenance work around the house today and discovered that SOMEONE TRIED TO TAKE THE HINGES OFF THE DOOR TO OUR HOUSE SO THEY COULD BREAK IN !!! It had to have been while we were not at home some time and probably Clancy, my Rhodesian Ridgeback scared them away........Gosh. We don't even have anything. Why would someone want to break in here ?

If you could all pray for protection for us that would be wonderful. I am, like I said, SEVERELY creeped out. We have a dead bolt but if the hinges are removed then anyone could enter and the dead bolt wouldn't stop them....

Take care my dear Christmas family and be SAFE xo

That is scary, you should let the police know so they may send extra patrols that way, and has there been an outbreak of break-ins in your area? I will keep my thoughts with you.

Good evening,

I didn't hear of the horrible weather until I came here tonight, I hope everyone stays safe.

Inventory is done for another month, it takes so long to prepare and then count, it is a draining experience every month. Back to work first thing in the morning.

I got home to watch the end of the Bruins game, and they won in overtime and on to the second round to face the Philadelphia Flyers, hmmm maybe another chance to exorcise more of their demons. Go B's!!!!!

At some point I went over 15,000 posts, not bad for someone who never thought he would make 1,500. I love coming to this site and sharing a little Christmas everyday with all of you.

Have a great night!

I am glad those of you affected by this horrible weather are checking in. I could not believe the radar and pictures I saw. Thinking of you all.

I just saw on the Weather channel the Carolinas are going to be under warnings around 1am, my sister is located in Charlotte area, I hope they take proper preparations. I may not sleep to well knowing that.

Once again stay safe everyone.

That's great news friend!!!!!! It looks like we get one more night of rain and then we are going to dry out for about 36 hours.

They just had a story on the news about sporting events here in town and said that our school district has had to postpone or cancel 296 events this month. How bad has been there?

Pretty bad. But our park drains well, so we had a lot of home games this year!

This is amazing...Dr Forbes on the weather channel has said they have found debris that has been carried over 100 miles across AL to Ga...everyone knows here I follow the weather all the time..but its times like this I wish I did not...I can't sleep so I just make a pot of chilli...heart burn is a comin....RJD Im so glad you are okay as well! prayers go out to everyone effected by this storm system!
