Christmas Countdown - 2011

I need a little Christmas right this very minute! I havent been on here as much as I like to be and work has got me stressed out to the max. Also dealing with potty training Dylan and the terrible 2's has hit him hard. His favorite word is NO..and he also likes to kick, hit anything he can do to get his way. UGHHH trying not to pull my hair out so Im going to try to get on here to get my spirits up at least once a day :sparkle:

Sorry to hear that! It must be real difficult. Wish I could give some advice, but all I can say is that I am certainly not looking forward to that aspect of parenthood. Obviously, it is (mostly) all rewarding in the long run, but I still need to figure out what to do with myself first. At least there is always MMC to help cheer you up! :sparkle:

Stay strong and I am sure he'll grow out of it!

Yesterday was the first time we started telling JP about 9/11, it was tough because we don't want to scare him, yet he is starting to ask questions about a lot of things surrounding it.

it is a good thing telling the children....of course they wont grasp the reason...or how certain things are tied together and all that......right now all she knows is that there were some really bad people who stole planes and flew them thru the towers, the pentagon.....she calls it a funny looking house, and the one that crashed down in the ground.........and she understand that many, many people have died because of those mean people. In the same breath i told her that most people are good people...no matter what color of skin, nationship or religion......but that there are really bad and mean people in all colors and sizes too........
My mother did it the same with my brother and I....the older we got the more she would go into detail.....so of course at 5 as my daughter is....you cant really do that too much

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! It is going to be a hot one here in central Indy. We are slowly racing towards a high of 90 and then tomorrow we should see a high in the 60's. Hopefully my cold doesn't come back. I just got over the cough yesterday. I have some more work to do today. I started off with a bang yesterday but I kind of slowed down after lunch. So I didn't get everything done. My youngest niece is also coming in to stay the night tonight. My sister has a doctors appointment early tomorrow morning so I'm just going to keep her all night instead of getting up at 6am. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you're feeling better! Hope you're cold doesn't come back. I hate when the weather changes fast like that too. I always seem to get sick. Have a great time with your niece tonight!

I just found out that we have Friday off this week! The boss ordered new carpet to be installed Friday, and we all get a paid day off. Whee! The weather's supposed to be cooler too. I need to find a quick day trip destination!

I know what your going through. Elexis will be 2 on Thursday and she is the same way. I guess it's just this age, but it can be sooo stressful sometimes. It will get better though - I just keep telling myself that!

I must be VERY lucky! My granddaughter who was born right around the same time as Dylan, is taking to potty training easily. In fact, that is all she wants to do 24/7 is go potty! She wants to try all the time and half the time nothing happens. She is even trying to potty train her baby doll! Ha ha!

I know the frustration, however, because I had a time with my son when he was little. Try not to fret, they won't stay in diapers forever and if Dylan is not ready now, maybe you can back off a little and wait a few weeks to try again? I feel your pain though! I hope he gets potty trained soon! cheesy

update on my bronchitis.......over night i have also developed an sinus infection or inflamation or how it is called.....I am sure the antibiotics will cover it too and will be almost gone by tomorrow....if not....I will have to see the doctor again tomorrow....antibiotica should be actually helping after taking it for two days shouldnt it? so I am waiting til tomorrow and then if it is not better......go see the doctor again

I don't know if I'll get a chance to post tomorrow. My brother's girlfriend is having surgery tomorrow morning at Hilton Head Island, and I feel like I need to be there for them. She's pretty young, early 30's, and has breast cancer. I'm sure she'd appreciate a prayer sent her way!

OK so I am sitting here at break with a bunch of grizzled men (PS Ladies those commercials they show of REALLY good looking Construction guys, must all be working on other projects BECAUSE none are working on the Freedom Towers!!!!) and I almost _______ my pants- well you know I laughed SO hard!!! On a side note...Last year a few neighbor ladies from the lake & I went to a Holiday open house in a quaint little town last year. We all said we want to go again this year. I just rec'd an email about the Holiday Open House. It's Nov. 17-20 this year. Soooo, I sent the link to all the girls. Not even 5 minutes later I had an email back from one of the girls saying "TOOO EARLY!" BAH HUMBUG!!!!

In other "close to the season" news - Red Lobster has begun its Endless Shrimp promotion! I have taken full advantage of this for many years and plan to do it again this year. Last year, I can recall going at least three times. Each time, I had at least eight plates of shrimp. This time, I think I will attempt to break my previous record of 11. Come on, 14! It's a lot easier going after a nice, hard, and long workout.

well.. I never heard back from walmart yesterday. They said they were going to contact me yesterday afternoon, but I guess they got busy. If I havent heard from them today, I Will be calling tomorrow.. They said my next interview is on thursday but didnt give me a time!!..ARGH! hahaha..

Sorry to hear this, yes go back to the DR I am not sure on how or when it should start to work, wishing you feel better soon.
