Happy Pinesday everyone!

Carl gave me some chocolaty eggnog and mmm mmm is it good. He also gave me a zillion mini candy canes! My pockets are full of them! I dare not sit down for crunching them all!!! hehe. So nice to relax at the pines. ahhh..... Oh where was I. Tonight I have to tell Mom I will be at her place later for Christmas due to working. That will be interesting. LOL. I listened to Michael Bubles Christmas album. Very very good. I have also been hearing some Glee Christmas music and its very good too! Well back to work I go. Hope everyone has a good day! I was going to work on cards today but work and other things got in the way. Unfortuntely, "other things" was far worse.

We had our holiday luncheon at work today and the food was yummy and I didn't go crazy. Heck, I didn't even have dessert! It had been just over an hour when I went to the bathroom and everything was fine in that department. I went back to my desk and about 20 minutes later, sharp pains entered my butt ("in there") and lower abdominal region to the point where I wanted to cry.

Finally, a little after 2, I called a taxi cab to come and get me. I was hurting BAD! I'm now home, in my pajamas, and using my own bathroom whenever I need it. :-?

Did I tell y'all about my glasses? I only need reading glasses, so I bought some for Halloween (orange and black), Thanksgiving (a brown varigated pattern), and Christmas (one red and one green)!!!

Your glasses sound so neat and festive! Love it!

Things are not going well here, yesterday had quite a setback. i feel awful. Yesterday we did however got our tree and decorated for christmas, which made me feel better since i am convinced he will be okay by christmas, and we will celebrate big time then, so he will feel better...

I will continue to keep you and your brother in my prayers!

Very cold here, was in the 20s last night, and our heater wasn't working. Somebody has been out twice to fix it, and it works and then it doesn't work. It is working right now, but it wasn't last night, I slept in my robe last night. We go from a record breaking summer of total days over 100 degrees to freezing our you know whats off.

Yep! Snow-in-Texas and I slept with no heat and it was cold!!! You know what? I will take the freezing temperatures without heat over the hot summer we had with air conditioning! Summer was horrible!

I was just actually thinking about you guys the other day when CAH said it was getting colder and remembering that she said the heater hadn't been working. Hope you guys get it figured out soon.

Another day of work. I am very, very thankful for my job but I am starting to get a little upset. I was told when I first hired in that they have a Christmas party every year and that some invitations are sent. Well, I know it is just December 7 but wouldn't you think the invitations would be mailed by now ??

I guess I am upset because I was warned that the city my company is in is VERY SNOBBY. I am starting to think maybe I am not wanted at their Christmas party and that makes me very sad.

I don't know why, but I just had to get that off my chest. I work really hard and to think I am not invited really hurts. Gotta run, Christmas family. A Christmas Carol is on tonight with George C. Scott. (AMC - American Movie Classics) I am looking forward to it. My dear dad looked so much like George C. Scott it was unbelievable !!

As CJ said, try not to let it bother you. Hopefully you will get the invite soon. Try to enjoy each of this season as much as you can.

My mom seemed to be doing better after the funeral. She put up her little tree right before I got there, so she's determined to have Christmas spirit.

Hi Christmas family and Happy Pines Day! Hope you're all day well! It's snowing here! We're supposed to get 3-5 inches of snowfall tonight. Yahhh! :???: The only yahhh not about it is that I have to drive to work in it, but at least I have 4 wheel drive.

Nothing is new here. Sitting here with the kids. I am watching a Hallmark Movie. Plan on ordering a pizza once my sister gets here and then "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is on tonight on Cartoon Network. We will be watching that for sure.

Well, I just thought I would pop in and say hello. I will stop in at the Pines before heading to work tonight. I hear the gingerbread house station Carl set up for us is going to be LOTS of fun.

i wood be like you be thinking i am not good enough. but you are . maybe they have not invites sent yet. is there no one you can ask in a casual sort of way ? but even if they have what odds if they are a pack of snobs wood you want to be there anyway? dont worry about it life is more important. and am sure you can think of nicer things at christmas

We are watching Polar Express again...lol. EA liked it so much last night, that when I was flipping through the channel guide, I turned to this and she immediately was glued to the tv. I think she is going to love Christmas like me. I hope so! cheesy

Morning. Took the day off today. Only because i am going with my mum to find a suit for my school formal next Monday. My attendence is 92.00%, so i am happy to say that i will be getting my School Certificate. Got my graduation tomorrow, which is going to be great, since it's my last day of school. Yesterday was pretty drastic. Me and my friend were on our way to tennis and the police pulled us over, searched our bags and accused us of smoking marijuana. Only because they thought we were skipping school. I mean, we were outside of school during school hours, but we weren't doing anything stupid. We were just walking to tennis, which is a part of sport with the school. It was just a huge misunderstanding, but i hated how the police officers were ripping into me more than my friend. Just cause i was wearing a hood. I mean, it was pelting down with rain and hail. Apparently, the police were looking for two guys in the grade below me. They got drunk, abused the school principal and ran off as the police were trying to arrest them. No wonder there were a couple of police cars around the school. Just can't believe how judgemental some police officers can be. I am aware that they want to get to the point, but it was pretty surreal because you see a lot of those moments in movies, but in real life it can be pretty scary, in a way. Just chilling out watching American Pie 2. Catch you later.

Sorry you had to go this. My DH and I had to go through this back in high school when we were still dating and it was the night of my senior prom. We were at a party and we were smoking it there as well and drinking so we left. There were cops stationed all over, of course, because they knew there was a huge party. They pulled us over, saying that we ran a stop sign, when there wasn't even a stop sign. Then they gave my husband a huge mess about why was he in their town at 12:00 am at night when he lived 45 minutes away and we had to explain why. They finally told us that we were incident, but they knew there was a party and they were going to bust it any way possible. It truly is sad what can be done to good people...

Anyway, congrats on your graduation!

Still busy busy busy at work, an ongoing job of proofreading a few hundred pages of website copy. It'll be going up to, and probably past, Christmas, and I miss having a little down time during the day to pop in here and see what's going on.

Hugs and prayers to all of you with troubles and ills, and I hope things will be better soon. And for all of you who feel like the season is rolling ahead too fast, I share your wishes that it would slow down a bit so we can all enjoy it before it rushes away.

I'll drop in for a while at the 'Pines tonight, but I'll probably sit in a quiet corner (well, quiet as it ever gets on Pinesday!) sipping hot tea with cinnamon, enjoying the decorations and watching the festivities. If I could manage it, I'd buy a round for the house.

Two thoughts: One, don't give up yet---maybe they e-mail their invitations. Two, how much enjoyment could you have at a party full of snobs? Here you're a V.I.P. guest at the best ongoing Christmas party in the entire world, and there's no question of your welcome here! If you don't get an invitation, we'll have our own party at Christmas Chat!

Last night was the first Tuesday of the month. That means Family-Night Supper at my inlaws. There was probably 25 of us there. We had fresh turnips, fried cubed venison, grilled sausage, macaroni & cheese, cornbread, biscuits, rice & gravy...whew! I'm still full!
