Who wants to start our own reality show called "Christmas Pickers" with me, we just go around the country trying to find cool Christmas stuff. I had a good weekend so far. cheesy

I just now fixed myself a cup of Spicy Eggnog coffee. It smells so good, and it is a little bit cool!!!

I went to Aldi grocery store yesterday and they had their Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer!!!

I just love the two girls in purple wearing go-go boots. They remind me of one of the blonds in my classroom--totally oblivious to what is going on in the rest of the classroom!!!

When I was at Walmart today I asked one of the ladies stocking merchandise if any of the Christmas items had been put out yet. She gave me a big smile and said it would be soon as the Christmas trees had just come in on one of the trucks last night. Yay!!!

I saw our tax guy/accountant yesterday and I think it might be okay. hope so.....at least it is not as bad as I had feared...We stopped at Hobby Lobby yesterday and they have their trees up !! Yay !! The only thing is the one I had liked from last year is $599 this year !! I can't afford that much..........I am hoping maybe they will have a sale ??

Sugar, Good to hear about EA! My grandchildren started back to school this week and it always makes me a bit nervous. I want them to be happy! So far it's been good!

Glad to hear everything is going well with them so far. Tuesday will be her first actual day and it will be without us. Since she's been to daycare since a couple months old and it's at the same place, just in a different building, I think she will do fine. The one I am actually worried about is DS - he is in the separation anxiety stage, really bad, and when they would get there in the mornings, before she would go to her class, they could eat breakfast together, but now DH will have to drop him off, then take EA to her building. I don't think he will like that to well. Oh well, I guess he'll get used to it.

Happy Friday everyone. We are headed to Myrtle Beach for Labor Day weekend. We would not normally drive so far for a 3 day weekend, ( 7 hours), but my Mom wants the family to go and it could be her last beach trip. It is only a 4 hour drive for my brother's family and Dad & Mom. Weather is supposed to be nice.

It is forecast to be a stormy weekend here in the mountains as we catch part of Issac. No complaints, our area needs the rain and we will be away at the beach.

Have a great weekend everyone as we move to the 'ber' months, the best time of the year.

This sounds delightful, Meceka. Hmmm. Cream of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich--yummo!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I have a pot of tomatoes, onions, garlic and a splash or two EVOO cooking down ~ smells yummy! I am hoping it will make a good base for cream of tomato soup, one of my favorite soups of all time. I still have a basket of cherry tomatoes to prep for drying. The first batch I did turned out yummy! I think the jalapeno jelly will have to wait until tomorrow, though. Time is going by fast and I haven't accomplished nearly what I wanted to yet.

Good morning, MMC!

Made and CM3's allergy woes have traveled North ~ I am miserable today! I have tomatoes to prep, though, and I am also considering making jalapeno jelly. The recipe seems easy, but I have never made jelly before. If time permits, I would like to work a few hours. I am trying to get it set up so I have one entire day free as I need to go get some furniture that is going to be put on consignment at the store. It is 5 foot plus sideboard/buffet ~ made of solid wood. It is going to be a job and half to get it transported. It is gorgeous! I would love to keep it, but my house is way too small. There is a matching china cabinet, too, but I didn't have the money with me to buy that piece. Hopefully it will still be there later this month ~ if so, it will be mine!

Well, I am off to get some work done. I am well on my way to a 6th cup of coffee ~ I hope it does its job and keeps me going!

I had a spicy eggnog coffee this morning, and I just had a hot cocoa from my Keurig. I added a little hazelnut creamer, and it was so good.

GOOD MERRY MORNING!!!!

I had a Venti (sp) Peppermint Mocha this morning and it was a crisp 59 degrees (but it will get to 88 today - WOW). I know a month since my last post, I have been way busy. We are planning a huge vacation (for me anyway) we are going on a hiking vacation for two weeks, back to Bar Harbor Maine so we can really pull in all the trains at Acadia National Park and no rushing through them, this year we have gone to Sterling Forest as well and Bear Mountain here in New York. This winter we are planning a little skip to the Catskills.

I cannot believe Saturday is the 1st day of the 1st ber month, I remember last years!!! How time flies

Well my Swiss catalog came the other day I have been looking through and I love all the little Halloween stuff, I was bummed my local Wal - Mart didn't have ANYTHING ready for Halloween last weekend I mean it is already the end of August and the nasty lady said why are you rushing it we put it out the week of 9/1 no need to do it sooner... I just smiled and said I was very sorry for her disposition on merriment and happiness and hoped she would find it one day, that got a chuckle out of a few of the other customers, she just gave me the nasty eye look. HA, HA, HA

None-the-Less K-Mart had what I wanted and I went to the Yankee Candle outlet and stocked up on a bunch of last year flavors!!! wooo hooo

Hope you are all doing well and that you enjoy the last weekend of Summer, be well, I must admit I am not sure how much I will go back and catch up so if I miss anything I apologize now...
