I forgot to tell you guys, I decorated for fall yesterday, but just in the house. I will wait for the outside of the house for two weeks or so yet - the pumpkins and such won't make it until Thanksgiving, with the cold if I do it too earlier.

I guess since I haven't been on the Countdown either since August (that I can remember), welcome to the 'bers everyone! We're getting so much closer! I can't wait! :smile:

Okay, I went to bed around 5 pm just to watch TV but never got back up and was asleep around 8 pm. I didn't wake up until 7 am. I better be rested now!!!

I am sad I missed the Greasy Skillet again. I will try again next Saturday!

I thought I would be able to catch up, but the treatment by my principal yesterday did not allow me to sleep at all last night.

Wow....I'm amazed how insensitive some people can be. Amazing that someone would make that type of remark.

In fact, send me the letter after everyone else gets through with it....I'd like to add a little to it...

Nancy took her mom to the doctor yesterday. Mrs. Hilda said she'd had some chest & back pains the night before. Since my, ah, issue last month, everyone is very aware of chest pains these days! Luckily, it seems her gall bladder is giving her some trouble. The doctor didn't find any other problems and can handle this without difficulty, thank goodness. Nancy was on the verge of a nervous breakdown at the mention of chest pains.

Gallbladder issues can very much mimic a heart issues. Anything heart related is always good to get checked out, as you said.

Glad to hear that is all it is with Mrs. Hilda.

Morning everyone!

Drinking coffee, watching sportscenter. Today is going to be a lazy day. No work. Sit back, watch some TV, play around the house, and then it's family night. We are going to run to Hobby Lobby and then to eat. Should be a fun time.

Good morning, MMC!

Made and CM3's allergy woes have traveled North ~ I am miserable today! I have tomatoes to prep, though, and I am also considering making jalapeno jelly. The recipe seems easy, but I have never made jelly before. If time permits, I would like to work a few hours. I am trying to get it set up so I have one entire day free as I need to go get some furniture that is going to be put on consignment at the store. It is 5 foot plus sideboard/buffet ~ made of solid wood. It is going to be a job and half to get it transported. It is gorgeous! I would love to keep it, but my house is way too small. There is a matching china cabinet, too, but I didn't have the money with me to buy that piece. Hopefully it will still be there later this month ~ if so, it will be mine!

Well, I am off to get some work done. I am well on my way to a 6th cup of coffee ~ I hope it does its job and keeps me going!

Well, I learned that hot oil and feet do not go together.
I was taking chicken out of oven and not paying attention to what I was doing. Hot grease spilled from the pan onto my foot. The good part is I had on my crocks, so most of it was deflected. These two spots are where 2 holes in my crocks are.

So glad I had those on! Quickly took them off and plunged my foot in cold water and still got these blisters.

Ouch! I hope you're foot is starting to feel better. Blisters are so painful.

Thanks, MerryM! You're sweet. Sometimes I don't either, but I'm just like everyone else and every other mom and manage. I love coming here though and seeing all these posts and hearing from all of you - I don't want to miss anything from my real family and my Christmas family! :smile:
