I hope he is not working to late tonight, it is ridiculous he had to work that late and be back so early.

Yep, he's working late tonight---if he's lucky he'll make the last train.

Good morning everyone.

I have been gone for a while. Both of my parents have been in the hospital. Dad with pneumonia. Mom with complications from cancer including pneumonia and a UTI. Dad is doing better and may get out today. Mom is a little better but will be there a while longer. They are both in Gastonia, NC so I walked through Christmas town USA, (McAdenville) several nights after leaving the hospital. http://www.mcadenville-christmastown.com/ It was a needed break.

I will drop back in when I can. Hope everyone has a great Christmas season as we celebrate the day God became a man to model a perfect life for us, provide for us to be reconciled to God by dying for our sins, and then rising again. It is neat to celebrate his birth while anticipating his return.

So sorry to hear about your parents both being ill. Praying for both xo

I so agree !!! And I remember 8 Track tapes....i.e., a self destruct system just waiting to happen !!! Lost many good tapes that way.....

I still have a Beta machine which does not work any longer but outdates even VHS and of course we have two VHS players as well !!

Technology is wonderful but it's leaving me in the dust as I struggle to keep up !!! xo

We are nowhere near the newer technology, all of our TV's have a tube, we don't have any Ipods, Itouch, or anything I, no tablets, or smartphones, we avoid Facebook like the plague. We just started using MP3's pretty recently, we read books and listen to CD's. We are just a couple of dinosaurs in our 30's. cheesy

I have alot of these VHS tapes that are either clips of shows, or episodes from Christmas specials from the likes of Red Skelton, Carol Burnett, Bob Hope, Abbott and Costello, John Wayne, not to mention Andy williams, Bing Crosby, I Love Lucy show, the Andy Griffth show, A Waltons Homecoming, etc... and many more! I just have not been able find them yet on DVD, but I'm always looking and searching where ever place/ storeI may be at the time. I was a little lucky this year, I was able to find 15 replacements this year.

One thing I haven't done, is to start replacing all the Disney VHS tapes (the ones in the hard vinal covers/ boxes) that we have from when the kids were little. We have so many of them, that they take up a whole wall inside one of my closets. I've been debating on just getting rid of them/ donating them somewhere!

However, I do have a secret; I still love to watch them. Like last night on TV, "Finding nemo" was on, and I was glued to the TV set all night.... Ah, I'm still a big kid at heart....

You have so many classics there !!! And Bravo !!! That are still a kid at heart....In MY Opinion, there is no better way to be !!! xo

You want to hear even crazier?? Mr. just e-mailed that they're having him stay to do ANOTHER late job tonight---no estimate yet on how late it's going to go---after he was at the office from 9 a.m. yesterday until 2:45 a.m. this morning! He got to bed about 4:30 a.m. and was up five hours later and on his way back to the office. I'm practically foaming at the mouth over it---I'm ready to kick a hole in the wall or punch out a window or something. It's OUTRAGEOUS. I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do.

Well, this IS rediculous !!! I don't blame you for being upset !!!! I hope Mr's company quits this stuff !!! Geesh.....xo

Have I ever told you how much I LOVE Dinosaurs !!! xo

Well that is a bummer. I hope they let him enjoy the weekend at least.

I just got home from running my errands and taking my neighbor to the airport. On the way home I noticed the gas station had gas for $2.98 a gallon!!!!!!! It was $3.45 on Wednesday. So I immeditaly filled up.

Does anyone have some 50 gallon barrels I can borrow?

I am glad you got some good news in the knee department! I do not envy you, though, on the Active Release Therapy. It sounds absolutely horrible! Take care. Isn't it funny that we sometimes have to pay to have pain???

Good morning everyone!

I was a little late for work yesterday -thanks to my doctor's appointment - and didn't have time to check in. Sorry! It seems as if most of you are doing well, however. Best of luck to those others that are trying to get back on track.

In regards to my doctor's appointment, I have good news. Apparently, I was reading into my ultrasound doctor's monotone voice and facial expressions too much - those crazy Russians! My doctor looked at my scans and I do not require surgery. In fact, I didn't even tear my meniscus. I may have had a slight (Grade 1) tear in my LCL, but it has recovered and barely showed on the ultrasound. With that said, I only require Active Release Therapy in hopes to rid myself of this nasty patellar tendonitis.

Two unfortunate things about ART - I'm not covered... It should be about $250 total. I just hope it works! And, it will more than likely be the most excruciating pain I will ever feel. I have a friend that did it a couple months ago and they basically cut off all the circulation to the injured area and then grind out the scar tissue/inflammation. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? Still, as long as it works, it will be very much worth it once complete.

Kim and I watched Elf last night. We almost watched it last week, but we were happy to delay it until last night. It still makes both of us laugh. It is always a fantastic film! I think I will have to bring it home to watch during my time in Sault Ste. Marie, too. There are a couple classics I have to watch at least twice during the year.

Also, we might be joining Kim's best friend and her boyfriend on a Christmas light expedition this evening. I'm excited! I'll be sure to take photos. Apparently there are a few upper class neighbourhoods around Ottawa/Orleans that have beautiful displays. I haven't experienced it yet, and I look forward to sharing the photos on the Blossoms thread!

Have a great Wednesday everyone! Only one more 'Pines Day before Christmas! How can that be? Carl continues to go all out. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and the food is delicious. The camel knows how to do it! But, how come nobody has tried the fruit cake?! :) Hope all is well with you all. Keep enjoying the Christmas Season. Merry Christmas!

I can imagine how happy and proud your granddaughter was!

I finished all my baking yesterday. It's so much fun but I am glad it's only once a year. Wow! It sure is a lot of work! I did get help from my granddaughter and son. While my granddaughter and I baked some goodies we played Christmas songs real loud and sang and danced at the same time. She had a blast and couldn't wait to tell her parents she did baking. My son and I were up last night decorating the sugar cookies while listening to Dean Martin Christmas music!

I am wanting to just sit, relax and read the rest of the Countdown but gotta go! I have so much to do but hopefully I can get back on here this evening to catch up.

Here is what my granddaughter and I like to do when hearing Christmas music! You all need to do this too! :D

another day is over, marshmallows are made and waiting to package for Christmas gifts.
Watching the Town that Christmas forgot...very good movie!
But now I am going to miss the end of it because I have to pick up my daughter from work.
Someone tell me how it ends please....I am at the point where he tells the toy store owner he needs a time out because he will not be Santa in the pagent!

Good evening, Christmas family

Just finishing up The Polar Express on ABC Family. I don't know if I will watch Christmas In Connecticut which I DVR'd today or something else. I am getting pretty sleepy. As usual, all my furkids except the two daredevil felines are already asleep and snoring.

Great news !!! I am beginning to have TOES again !!! The swelling and pain are going from my toes, not all the way gone yet but going and the swelling and pain in my right thumb is 99% gone. Now if I can just keep tolerating the medication as it builds in my system.....Much fewer side effects than Methotrex**te.....Fingers crossed everybody ?? xoo

A Christmas Carol is going to be on this weekend, I think a couple of different versions of it. I know for sure the George C. Scott one is going to be on and I think TCM is showing the Alastair Sim version, not 100% on that one but I think so.

Have a wonderful, magical, Christmassy evening, dear Christmas family !!!! xoxo
