Hello all!! Finally, an update after a week of just insane craziness!!!
Last Friday were our wedding picture retakes, taken by one of my best friends (and ex-Kohl's coworker) Sasha. She had volunteered even before we got our photos from our original photographer back, as she knew how upset we were. We had to re-rent hubs's tux, which was really no big deal, as he had gotten it for free for the actual wedding due to the amount of groomsmen tuxes bought. I got my hair and makeup done by the same friends who did it on the actual day, and neither charged me or allowed me to even think about paying them (which really drives me crazy because they didn't HAVE to do that...but they would then say that we SHOULDN'T have had to redo our pictures...). We then went back to the Yorktowne and were greeted by who is honestly the BEST wedding coordinator I could've ever dreamed of having!! She let us go back up to the roof to take pics, and gave us the entire run of the hotel. Also, I had offhandedly mentioned something about how I had never gotten chocolate covered strawberries the day of the wedding (mainly because I was all over the place and forgot)...15 minutes later, Super Wedding Coordinator comes back with a plate of them, no charge! Seriously, everything we went through on Friday more than made up for the horror of our original photographer. We spent FIVE hours taking pictures with her...thankfully the rain held out...it threatened all day, but nothing! Super amazingly awesome experience!
Afterward, we picked up Sasha's husband and went to the new Buffalo Wild Wings the next town over, where we met some of their friends. It was such a great end to a great night!
Saturday, we joined my parents, hubs's parents, and a bunch of their friends and went on a murder mystery cruise that went around the Baltimore Inner Harbor. It was a lot of fun, the food was AMAZING (filet and crab cakes!), and while I did not guess the correct killer (it always ends up being the most obvious one...I guess I watch too many eps of Law and Order: SVU and am always looking for NOT the obvious one! lol), one of my parents' friends did and ended up winning two free tickets to come back!
Sunday was hubs's grandparents' 60th anniversary party. =) After that, we went to Sasha's, and we picked up our pictures! We have 467 of the most BEAUTIFUL pictures EVER. I seriously wish we could've had her as our photographer on the day of...I can't even imagine how great she could've taken our wedding party and family pictures if she did this well with just us! I will post some here if you'd like!
The rest of the week, I think I kinda mentioned in and around comments. We lost power Monday, cleaned up Tuesday, and I've been trying to work on thank you cards and cleaning the rest of the week. I am looking forward to the weekend...spending time with friends and celebrating my friend Lindsey's birthday Saturday, then one of my bridesmaids Amber is having her first baby shower Sunday. While I might not want children of my own, I certainly do love celebrating other people's babies! More nieces and nephews for hubs and I! =)
Gotta ask this here before I go...is anyone else having trouble with MMC radio skipping? I tried listening earlier and after about 2 minutes, it started skipping excessively and I had to keep refreshing the page. I thought maybe it was something with my computer, but now I am listening to a Christmas station on Pandora and it is just fine. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem? =(
Have a good Friday, everyone!!
Awesome time at the family wedding yesterday!
Costumes were a riot!!
Time to recover to start another week tomorrow and another milestone!
Cheers!!

Oh, old Bing and I are still at it.No sooner do I finish and who do I see ???? BINGER ! Glad you are here !
I saw this on TV today, too. Such a great commercial. Correct me if I am wrong, Star, but I believe this is the first time in a few years that I have noticed Canadian Tire using the word "Christmas." I seem to recall them using the word "Holidays" previously.
Topside roast beef with mash, Yorkshire pudding, carrot and green beans. Roast potatoes and gravy, with a trifle for desert. Turned out pretty good considering I'm not the worlds best cook LOL.

Glad to hear your kin is ok. I have an uncle who lives In Toms River, NJ. We haven't heard anything from him yet, but hopefully no news is good news.
Hey Crown, All the boys are married and out on their own. Son #3 is still in USMC and currently deployed in the middle east. I now have 4 grandsons, but don't get to see them too often. Mrs Eagle is still working for a couple more years, then we are looking at leaving Chicago. Indiana is lookin' real good to us right about now. Grandma Eagle (Great Grandma Eagle) is in assisted living at 92yrs. Se's not too happy. She found out that they won't let her have her really big Christmas tree in her room. It's really, really big. 9ft I think. So she has to get a smaller tree. I told her they have Christmas trees in all the sitting areas, main hallways and by the fireplace in the main lobby. So she's going to wait and see.
So we are now empty nesters. Just the two of us and Maggie (the dog).
Is Binger still around? I miss his coffee rants. Many a cold night patrol with a hot cup of coffee (or tea), I would think of this place for a warming thought.
Christmasstar - Thanks for the wecome back. Old crew or new, we all are here to enjoy this wonderful time of the year . . . . Christmas !
Great day today, except for the Bengals.
Good night everyone!
Good evening, everyone! How are you all!? I'm not bad. It's been a busy week/start to my weekend, but just thankful for my family and that I have them!
It your friends with me on Facebook, you would have saw the post about my dad yesterday. He hasn't been feeling very well for 3 days or so. He had flu like symptoms, just no fever and that is what EA had, so he went to the doctor. They thought he either had an appendicitis or diverticulitis. Well, that's not even close to what it was. He has a blood clot in the lining of his intestines. It was very scary for him and us at first - this is his 3rd blood clot - so he obviously has some type of issue. The doctors did a lot of clotting blood work to see. My mom and I both have a clotting deficieny. We both have had a blood clot before too, so they don't know where I get my deficieny from. I guess we soon wiill. The doctor flat out told him he could have died if he waited much longer. I knew that myself, but didn't want to tell my dad that.
Anyway, they told my dad yesterday, they were putting him on Heparin through his IV, which is a drip and he would be there for 3 to 5 days and if it didn't take care of the clot, he would need surgery. With his symptoms and such, he is already responding well and the doctor send he shouldn't need surgery, thank goodness!
Thank you all for your continued prayers as, I've been dealing with this, plus EA being sick this week - I know some of you too read about my uncle in the prayer section on the boards. We find out in a week and half if his tumors are cancerous. Please continue to prayer his tumors are non-cancerous.
What God doesn't give you...wheew!

I only got through some of Saturday's post so not sure if you are better now. I hope you are!Good afternoon dear Christmas family !!
Well today has not gone exactly as I had wanted it to. I was feeling really great, started working this morning, looking forward to decorating this afternoon when all of a sudden I did not feel so well. Tummy queasy and such. I barely worked an hour before I stopped and just laid in front of the fire listening to Christmas carols. I probably have a bug. I sure hope It is GONE by tomorrow. Tomorrow is the annual Christmas open house at Donzell's Garden Center with my sister. I CANT miss that !!!
I haven't been on facebook a lot lately and when I do I don't check too much on there so I missed your post. I pray he recovers completely andn no more issues!!!It your friends with me on Facebook, you would have saw the post about my dad yesterday. He hasn't been feeling very well for 3 days or so.
