Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good morning everyone!

Normally, I would be (happily) teaching at this time, but I didn't receive a call to supply today. Oh well. Having a day off isn't bad, especially when my dad is visiting for the next couple days. No plans for the day. We're nearly finished our Christmas decorating in the apartment. We just need to make a few purchased. I think this morning will be spent with a little bit of shopping.

At least all this shopping will give me the opportunity to take some photos of Christmas decorations in the mall. I haven't been in more than a month, so it will be very exciting to see!

Well, time to get ready and head out in a bit. Have a great Thursday, everyone. It's the Christmas Season. Let's continue to enjoy it to the fullest!

I am waiting on word as to how my new nephew is doing - he is having open heart surgery today. The last update I had, he was doing good. Prayers for him would be appreciated!

Yesterday I ended up getting a migraine so today I am not very energetic. It is very windy and cold out, too, so it is a good day to stay in and work on projects.

The scary tree is now just a pile of wood, and a friend of ours will be taking that away in a few days. I was surprised at how quickly they took it down---less than an hour and a half! Well, my lunch is overdue, so I'm going to take care of that next and pick out some Christmas movies to watch! I feel like I have the sniffles (stuffy nose!), so I may just lie around this afternoon.

I think you answered the question of what to get the people on my Christmas list who have everything question, Sugar. I hear a lot of complaints from them about having to scrape their windows after work or before taking their kids to school. Thank you so much for the idea!!!

You're welcome! I keep my car in the garage while at home and I now have a car starter, but on the really cold days, after coming out of work, I think I'll still need it. It will come in and I think you're friends/family will love it!

Me too! I only have 50% left and a lot of the stuff is for the kids, so that I can't delete. I did buy a few of things on there for them for Christmas, so at least once Christmas comes, I can delete it!

Good afternoon, MMC! I'm finally all caught up on the Countdown! I'm so sorry I wasn't here to celebrate with you guys the other night. I was at work. I feel like I miss out on all of the fun stuff! Anyway, Merry Christmas season!

Hope you're all enjoying your day. I'm enjoying the day with Hallmark and Lifetime. I bought a few more Christmas gifts today too. I had last night off, so I head back to work tonight. The evening will just be spent with DH, the kids, and watching more of Christmas! I know, I'm addicted!

Wow, you guys have been busy this afternoon!!! I read though but don't have time to respond to everyone. I'll be back later hopefully to try and catch up some more.

Did I ever mention that being able to watch my grandchildren as my full time job is very rewarding? My daughter and son-in-law has mentioned they could enroll them in daycare if it is too much for me but I am so happy to get to spend the time with them and watch them grow! I love it and honored to have this job! The kids love being here too, we have a lot of fun! I also have my part time job too at the feed store. The hours are perfect in both areas!

That is so sweet CAH!
