Good Morning All!

I just got to work...I was in court this morning (as a witness). My case was fairly insignificant (somebody stole a car battery), so I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. But can I tell you, I was shocked at how many 20-somethings were there for having shoplifted useless items from places like CVS and Rite-Aid. Don't these young people understand that this goes on their record, and when they apply for a job they will be obligated to state that they have been arrested? Honest to goodness, you would think that with everything else the schools teach these days, they would have the kindness to have someone tell the kids "Hey, don't shoplift...you'll have to tell your future employers for the rest of your lives that you got caught." I know that ideally parents should do this, but obviously a lot of them are falling down on the job. I could understand stealing food....times are bad right now. But the junk these young people took? Useless! I was so sorry for them...they couldn't think it through before they did it, and now their lives are messed up for some useless thing that they didn't even need.

That's so sad to hear MerryBells!

Have a great day HMG! Have fun shopping!

Thanks Holiday, I hope you are having a great day too!

I can relate. I keep saying I'll stay up late after everyone is down so I can do some online shopping. But it's the last thing I want to do after a hectic day!

I feel the same way at the end of the day, I know exactly what you mean!

The scary tree is now just a pile of wood, and a friend of ours will be taking that away in a few days. I was surprised at how quickly they took it down---less than an hour and a half! Well, my lunch is overdue, so I'm going to take care of that next and pick out some Christmas movies to watch! I feel like I have the sniffles (stuffy nose!), so I may just lie around this afternoon.

I hope you are feeling better!

I also keep a ice scraper in my car, but if you don't have this, you need to pick it up. It's amazing!!! I see different prices for it. I still have my can from last year. My mom actually got it for me for Christmas and I think paid roughly $4-5, but I've seen $5-8, plus they have different oz, but it will last you throughout the winter. You don't have to spray that much. I love it!

My mother just told me about this the other day! I have to look for it, thanks for the reminder!

Thanks, I will! And now Mr. reports that he feels like he has a cold coming on.

I hope Mr. feels better too!!!

Such a cute picture!

Thank you Sugar!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I am waiting on word as to how my new nephew is doing - he is having open heart surgery today. The last update I had, he was doing good. Prayers for him would be appreciated!

Yesterday I ended up getting a migraine so today I am not very energetic. It is very windy and cold out, too, so it is a good day to stay in and work on projects.

Be MERRY!

Sending up prayers for your nephew.
I hope you are feeling better today!

Look you came to celebrate the season with us last night! Elfie is back!

So cute, have fun with Elfie!

Well MMC, it's off to take a nap before work. I will talk to you all tomorrow. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your evening! God Bless! Goodnight!

Good evening everyone! It has been a busy week and I am glad it is coming to an end. The weather has been weird...kind of mild but tonight we are getting the first of 2 storm systems to move in with rain/snow and wind! Lows around 30F and highs around 40F so even if it snows a lot it will not accumulate much especially with the rain mixed in! BUt it will be more seasonal at least. We have decided to wait until the weekend to put up our Christmas stuff. And we will have to wait until Monday or sunday late afternoon after the storms move through to put out the décor in the yard! I hope everyone is doing good around here the season is upon us!!Have a great night all!

Maybe it's "Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk is the hope of Janice and Jen …" -----"It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas."

A deranged friend once gifted us with a CD he had compiled of "Rudolph" by 15 or 20 different artists … I think it's still around here somewhere, if you're missing any!

I didn't even think of that song!!!!

One of the rarer ones Rudolphs I have is by Paul McCartney, it is called Rudolph the Red Nosed Reggae. It isn't bad.

I am sure if I dug deeper I would find a stranger one.

I bought Christmas cards last night … and I still have a bunch of unused cards from last year that are perfectly good, but I'm afraid to use any for fear of accidentally sending someone the same card they got last year. Does anybody else run into this? Any idea what to do with the perfectly good unused cards? It's not like I can donate them to the Salvation Army … and I hate to just toss them in the recycle bin. Maybe some sort of "card exchange"?

Give those cards to the new people at work, if there are any newbies. cheesy

Good morning friends. I am at home with a sick kid and a sick dog. My son is going to the doc today and I'm worried he has strep.

Happy is having tummy issues and has no energy. Poor guys.

I hope you all have a great day!

I hope he is feeling better.

I see it daily, it is the most useless stuff that usually gets them in the most trouble.

One of the most heartbreaking things I ever had to do was testify against a 7 year old kid I caught stealing video games from the video store I was employed at. I hated every moment of it, and was very distraught by it. One of the lawyers told me it happens all the time, mainly because the parents tell their children to go steal stuff they can sell.
