Take your wife next time. Problem solved!

While we're talking about the Pines...

I would like to clear the air and address the elephant in the room:

I apologize for my conduct last night. I'm not sure what all I did. Carl gave me something to drink and promised it was only coffee. Next thing I know I'm waking up on my front lawn with no recollection of how I got there, wearing a sombrero that I've never even seen before. Needless to say, my wife was very disappointed in me.

I would love to visit the Lake District. The poets from the Romantic period (Wordsworth, Coleridge, etc.) are among my favorites. English literature is wonderful!

It is a three day weekend here and the last of the summer festivities before school reopens. We are hoping to go to an animal park near the lake district maybe on Saturday and perhaps a drive to the seaside again on Sunday. Other than that we will have a BBQ and watch some movies and chill at home.

Thank you Snow, that is kind of you to say. School re opens on Sep 04th! I can't believe it's almost over to be honest!

Sounds like a great plan, have a wonderful lunch with your family! What are you doing this weekend?

I am very sorry to hear your parents are not well. I hope you get to go to the beach, I am sure you will treasure these memories.

Wow senior year, I bet you feel like it was only yesterday he was little! I sure know what you mean about turning back the clocks.

Weird weather every where this year. I hope the rain lessens up where you are. Have a lovely weekend.

Ahhhhhh so that's where my sombrero went to.........

Catchy title for a festival!!!

We plan to go to a local festival called "Festival of the pines" for the first time =]
It's supposed to be pretty amazing! It's an arts/crafts fair, food vendors, entertainment, etc. Family event!

Your weekend sounds great, too!! Enjoy!!

Thank you!

I saw a picture of a kit for a Christmas afghan on the Herrschner's website, but I don't need their pattern---I just saved the photo and will go out and buy yarn and to make it! I'm waiting for the weather to cool off a bit first, because as it progresses, it's too warm to hold on my lap in the summertime.

OOh, I need to go back to their website. I was on there a couple months ago & remember seeing some awesome Christmas afghans!! How fun!! I agree - too hot in the summertime!

Wow you guys have been busy this morning.

I know! Took me forever to get caught up! Lol!

Thanks, Made. Only a headache today!

Hope that goes away soon!!! Sugars headache too!!!

Now I only have to get rid of this headache. Mmmm, would wine do the trick?

It's worth a try!!!

Good afternoon! I think I am finally caught up for the 2nd time today! You bunch of chatty yahoo's!!! :hello:

It's finally raining!! Not a hard rain, but it has been raining for a couple hours! It can rain alll afternoon & evening! Maybe the rust fungus in all the grass around here will go away! I'm tired of orange shoes!! Lol!

Last night I canned 4 qt. of tomato juice, 8 qt. spaghetti sauce, & 9 pints pineapple salsa! Felt so good to crawl in bed at midnight - after standing in the kitchen all night! I'm glad it's done! BUT there's more tomatoes in the garden!

Hope you are all having a great day!!

If it doesn't, it may help you forget! ;)

I hope you do get to meet for lunch! How fun! Have a great day, yourself, Snowflake!

Thank you, Seawaters!! We did just meet up, at the cutest little cafe in my favorite garden shop here =] It was great to see them. We sat on the patio, so Jazzie was able to hang out with us too. They can always put a big smile on my face!!

wow, really? Here it is snapped up as quick as it comes in. A lot of the soup kitchens take it too for preparing of the hot meals. I know the canned is easier because of lack of processing needed, but I would think those in need would welcome fresh food.

I think it might be because I live in a small town. We don't have a soup kitchen so other than the few who try to sell their produce in the Farmer's Market, any overabundance is passed on to neighbors, who pass it on to others, etc.

supposed to go down to 19c (66f) tonight, I hope they are right since my air conditioner has died :-(, it was 8 years old, so I guess it did well. I can get a nice little one at Walmart for only $94, maybe less if they go on sale again. These are perfect for a bedroom. Until then I will hope that summer temps quickly turn into fall temps!

Labor Day weekend things are heating up around here - almost in the 90s according to the long range forecast. I hope things are cooler your way and that you can wait for a sale!

Well everyone, I am off to take some medicine and try to get a goodnight's rest. I will talk to you guys in the morning. Enjoy the rest of the Pines. Tell Valerie and Carl to stay out of trouble. I'm afraid it could get very bad...

I hope you are better today!

I had to leave early. I was not as smart as Made, and Carl's special drink did a number on my already-upset tummy! Good night, all. TTYT

I hope you are better today, too, Seawaters!

Week 4 of school holidays and I no longer call my children by their right names........I no longer know my own name. I have Lego brick indentations permanently scarred into the soles of my feet and my hair has developed a static electric force that would rival Don King. I know the dialougue to various kids films by heart and I've developed a sore back/kneecap/shoulder from indulging in various forms of sport and role play.

This morning, coming down the stairs I could actually hear my knees make a creaking click clacking sound but that was overtaken by the sight of my living room room which I am sure has become a habitat for wild animals..........

xx

You are such a good mum!

It's been cool all summer and now they are talking upper 90's next week and maybe even 100's for labor day weekend? Really?

Good Morning MMC!!! It's going to be another warm day but it looks like we may see some rain. Yay!! Not a whole lot going on here today. Just a few errands to run and then I think I have to babysit for awhile. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!
