Christmas Countdown - 2013

We saw some apartments yesterday but they were out of our price range. We'd sooner stay here than downsize and pay more! That doesn't make much sense. I have an appointment this afternoon for what appears to be a decent apartment. We'll see how it goes. Otherwise, Kim and I have an appointment tomorrow morning for the apartment that we really want! It isn't listed online. There is just a small FOR RENT sign in front of the house. It's the first floor and basement of a home... and at a decent price. We're really hoping that it works out. It would be wonderful if they let us move into it in November but we are going to see if they will at least let us hold off until mid-October. The only problem is I don't know if I can afford double rent... We'll see! I think I can work it all out. I need a job!

It's a chilly morning in Ottawa. However, it is forecasted to warm up throughout the day. Highs of 17C/63F. Perfect for September. At least I can still comfortably wear shorts and a t-shirt. I want to hold on to that for as long as I can!

Well, I need to search for employment. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday. A double digit Tuesday! We're on our way toward some monumental milestones! 2013 is moving fast. Let's hope it slows down when the Season arrives!

November 1st, at the latest ... I keep a little Spode Christmas mug on top of my piano year-round, and a Santa mug on the kitchen shelf (next to the W.C. Fields mug).

My attendance was kind of crummy in school because I caught everything and had asthma. It never failed that when I wanted badly to have good attendance I would manage to get sick within the first 2 weeks of school.

I'm 95% sure I'll be taking off work tomorrow. I can walk in the morning, drink coffee, work on my new Christmas afghan, drink coffee, take Mike's bike for a ride, drink coffee, clean house, drink coffee... and cook for tomorrow night! :grin: I think I will need to cook for at least 13, but more may end up showing up?? It could be 20 or more!!! I'll just (hopefully) cook plenty & leftovers are always good!

I originally put it back, but changed my mind because of the price. They also had an accompanying CD with it but I did not buy that, I'll have to watch it first and if I like the music enough I will go back and buy it if it is still there.
The other thing about the DVD, it was never opened!!! cheesy

Hey, guys! I'm happy to read about some of your days. Today was the first day it felt like Fall where I live too. I hope it stays like this. SoCal weather likes to fluctuate.

It was a weird angle (I'm short & they were up high), but I'd agree with you about the faces. I like the others much better!

I wouldn't see any issue with November 1, of course you are asking a bunch of people who would prefer to have all their Christmas stuff out all year long.

I agree. Not crazy about the top one's. The middle one is the one I really want.
