Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good evening,

It has been a long day here, I am up later than I should be. I am stressing out about my inventory tomorrow, I don't have my strongest people on, and one of them needs to be "babysat" to be sure he gets the work done, and I don't have that type of time tomorrow. Then I have to back for 6am on Sat. morning to enter the final numbers. Wish me luck, please.

Much good luck to you during the inventory, xmas. Isn't it a pain to be the responsible one? The irresponsible ones always seem to take advantage of it, knowing someone will make up for their deficiencies. (i.e., if you're determined to get the job done right, you have to babysit the loafers or do their work for them.)

Good morning everyone!

Just stopping in for a quick hello. I will shortly be en route to Leominster, MA, as we are staying there for two nights while competing in the Northeast Regional championships in Devens, MA. Devens is a small town situated around an old military barracks, so there is only one hotel. We attempted to book a little late. The option was $170 per night to walk to the fields or $70 per night to drive 10 minutes. I think that's an easy option.

Anyway, signs of Christmas are popping up everywhere! Although I have yet to have the opportunity to search Ottawa, I hope to be able to do a bit of early Christmas exploration wherever we may go today. My fingers are crossed!

I have a few things left to get ready. I should probably get on that. Hopefully I have time to post before heading to the fields tomorrow, but I cannot guarantee. We start playing at 8:30 and thus have to be there for 7:30. Everything is going to be quite rushed.

You will only be an hour down the road from me, we went to Leominster last year and I tried to find the Christmas store I read that was in the town but I had no luck.

Morning, MMC!

This is going to be a quick post because I am super rushed (what else is new?) lol! I have to shower, straighten my hair, put on makeup, and get out of the door within an hour and a half. I decided to make an appointment with my dermatologist for the mole that my surgeon spotted on my arm and thought was suspicious. I am almost 100% sure that they are going to cut it off. While I am there I asked for a full body check just to make sure that I am not missing anything else that is pre-cancerous.

I'm a little nervous, of course, but I don't think it will be too bad. I'm not a fan of needles but I have been stuck so much lately that I'm kind of used to it.

I'll let you know how my appointment goes although I won't know much until my biopsy results come back.

I had a few removed almost two years ago, now. And it's something to keep an eye on yourself, as well as regular dermatology check-ups.

Yeah, I put on my mayor's hat and drove that car in the last parade. It is mint! Jim has several classic cars like that in his shop.

I would love just once to drive one of the classic cars.

very nice! It would have made more sence for them to give you this before you wrote a jingle for them , but this is nice too!

For a pitch, we produce samples of what we could do for the client---print, radio, digital, whatever they're looking for. Then the creatives (the writers and designers) present their ideas and sample to the client. So we haven't written anything yet that the yogurt shop can use! But I heard in a meeting this week that we will be doing some work for them.

I'm not a creative---I just proofread creatives' work to make sure there are no missing words, extras words, grammatical errors, punctuation errors, inconsistencies, or other embarrassments. Creatives are wonderful at writing, designing, and marketing ideas, but the loud voice of creativity occasionally drowns out the rulebook. So I'm the quality control, in a sense. Or the test pilot.

I am leaving in a few minutes to go to work, so much to do, so little time. If everything goes well I should be home by 7:30 tonight, if not I could be in for a long night. In the 2.5 years I've been running the monthly inventory I've only had to stay late once.

The 90% window is so close I am starting to get really excited about the Christmas season, I can't wait to switch from "regular" music and go Christmas full time.

Good early morning friends!!! I mean EARLY morning. whew tonight was my turn with Jordan his ear is still giving him fits at night. so I have been up since about 230am,I decided just to stay up until work time. it's Friday thank heavens! MY b-I-l and s-I-l is coming tomorrow for the week. They came to see the Mountains and the leaves change as next week is suppose to be peak week. Anyhow not much else to report this morning except the weather here is getting cold but we still have not turned on our heat. This morning it's 41F and in the house it's 69F so we are teetering right on the edge and if it were up to me(hehe funny I know) I would have already turned it on a few minutes! Well I hope everyone has a great morning! I will be checking in all day!

So sorry his ear is still bothering him!! I hope the meds kick in soon!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends! TGIF!

Part of Jacob's 16th birthday was a trip to Six Flags Over Georgia, so we're taking him and his best friend there tomorrow. This Saturday is the first day of "Fright Fest", with walking monsters around the park. At 6pm, they'll release a bunch of zombies into the park, too. Atlanta is about 3.5 hours from here, so it'll be a lonnnng day tomorrow.

Elizabeth is staying here with her best friend (who also takes ballet and is in the Nutcracker, too) to go to Nutcracker practice in Statesboro, then to see a play in Savannah.

It feels weird being in Atlanta while my little honeybee is in Statesboro and Savannah, but such is the life of a family with growing kids. Look out, Coach!

I popped in to wish everyone a good day! I'm helping to host 'World's biggest coffee morning' for 'Macmillan Cancer Support' in the campus today so I'm leaving a way earlier than my lecture starts. We did quite well last year but we do hope for even better donations this year so fingers crossed.

Last evening when I was up all hours of the morning I was watching the Food Network and starting October 6 (or 7th) They are having a reality show based on fall/Halloween decorations and food, I thought it looked cool and I would have to check it out maybe you would like it as well!
