I am fine. Thanks.
With all the things going on with me lately, I decided to wait to get on the ladder to do the outdoor lights until Sunday when someone is home, if I fall off the ladder like I did a few years ago. I was able to get the indoor lights done today.

Glad to hear it! Sounds like a smart idea!

New countdown... 19 days till Love live!!! Omggggggggggggg Yabba!!!!!

You are such a hard worker, Xmas. I can hardly wait to see the pics of your decorations!

Good evening,

I had a long day off, I spent most of my morning searching stores for the staples I use to hang my lights, NO ONE around here has them, I was so upset. I had three packs left from last year, it took me over an hour to find them. The inside of the house is all lit up and garland is wrapped where it needs to be. I am driving my wife nuts, because I put so much pressure on myself to be done early and considering I have lost nearly 2 weeks of prep time due to my spasms and stuff, to be done by Thanksgiving seems to be a stretch right now, but I will keep plugging, and driving her nuts. So now I have a three foot tree, 6.5 foot tree and 7.5 tree to do. We bought on clearance a tree for both boys rooms last year, so those need to be done. A village to set up, knick knacky stuff, a bunch of Santas to move around.

We did finish most of the boys Christmas shopping tonight, I love online shopping, just a couple more things to do for them. I haven't started my better half yet, but I will get her stuff done soon enough.

Just listening to some Xmas music now. I love this stuff!!!!

Good night, kind Christmas folk.

You have to watch out for those revolting turkeys, Xmas!

I think they already did, I went "a** over teakettle" yesterday when I tripped over a flatbed cart we use to move them to and fro.

I landed hard on my right side, my arm hurts and I got a Charlie horse where my keys are kept in my pocket. On the good side, my back stopped hurting after I slowly lifted myself back up.

I remember her telling me about that ornament and asking me advice on sending it to you. I thought of her on our way home from Madera this past weekend. We stopped by Costco and this year's Christmas Barbie was the first display we saw.

That is beautiful, I miss her so much at this time. I see polar bear ornaments, or the holiday edition Barbie she looked so forward to purchasing every year, and my thoughts go right to her. I have an ornament of a hockey playing bear that she sent me, it will be right in the front of the tree this year.

Starting to look more like a bridge and a house now

Looks great Star!

Okay, I've started going back through the old countdowns and pulling out the special posts and putting them in their own thread. I've got 4 years down but the hardest 3 are still to go. I'll try to get to them later tonight or tomorrow.

Good morning all. Just wanted to update everyone. Spent the night with mom at the hospice house. She is now unresponsive and getting morphine every 4 hours. I talk to her but I'm not sure she hears.

I'm not meaning to be a downer.I feel blessed to have this time with her.

Thanks again for your prayers & thoughts.

I am so sorry, it must be so difficult for you. As always keeping you all in thoughts and prayers.

stayed home from work today, sore throat, stuffed head zero energy.
I have all this stuff to do and every time I try I last about 5 min and then have to sit down.

LittleCS is working on her gingerbread log cabin and it is looking great!
My covered bridge fell apart yesterday when I foolishly decided to turn it over. Nothing broke, just came apart. So I will have to scrape off all that icing and put it back together again. sigh  Oh well, repair work in decorating cakes ect happens often, it is to be expected.

So I will spend my day resting lots and hanging out here.

Hope you feel better soon. Everyone seems to be coming down with something at the moment. Gingerbread houses look great!

Thank you for putting this together. I was thinking the other day how great it would be to have it all in one thread so we can reflect on past posts. Well done!

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 8 *****

Good Morning, Middle-Weekers and 'Pines Piners.

Wow!
We are already starting the 2nd week of Christmas Season 2013.
Really moving right on into Holiday Territory.
Won't be long at all now before the public at large catches up with us,
usually no later than the Macys parade next week.
(But those of us here know different. We are already enjoying ourselves, immersed in things Christmas!)

The count, submitted for your approval without commercial interruption:
Days to Thanksgiving: 8 (ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 36 (Five weeks from today!)
(Isn't this exciting?)

And on top of that, today is 'Pines Day with lots going on at the old Shispering P, courtesy of Carl and Crew.
But next Wednesday, the 'Pines will take a break from Christmas and present Thanksgiving in all its glory.
(Another visit you won't want to miss!)

Well, it definitely turned cool yesterday and that situation is here to stay for a while.
At least it's dry and sunny.
Currently, we stand at 41 degrees here in NC.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

This is fantastic, Made. We should have thought do do this long ago.
A place we can instantly go for inspiration all year.
Thanks loads!

One issue though. There will be a problem with comments added during the year which will separate the 2007-2013 special posts from next year's addition. Perhaps it should be locked for internal comments so all the posts will always be together.
But then, how could we add next year?
Thoughts, anyone?

Good Afternoon! Happy Pines Day!!!

Thank you for all the get well wishes for the children. They are much better. I am just having a break with some Christmas music, tea and catching up on here. I managed to put out a couple Christmas knick knacks out last night. My little one broke a small snow globe that Mr. Festive gave me when we first moved in to our house a few years ago :( It's a shame but atleast he didn't cut himself thank goodness. I can see it's going to be quite the challenge having tree and decorations up with my cheeky little monkey around!

I have so much to plan and get done, anyone else feeling a bit overwhelmed? I love it though......makes it all the more exciting LOL!

Hope you all are having a joyful day!
