My grandkids will be away Easter weekend so my granddaughter and I just boiled and colored Easter Eggs so we can have an early celebration. After I boiled them to get ready to color my granddaughter said to me, "Wow, good job grandma, you did a great job cooking the eggs"!!!! I told her thank you then she said, "Thank you, grandma, you're the best grandma ever"!!! I feel quite flattered that boiling eggs can make a child so happy! :lol: She is such a sweetie and is always appreciative of every little thing in life. My grandsons are the exact same way!

I find it amazing how thankful my grandchildren are. My aunt will send over a little bit of candy for them and they cannot get to the phone fast enough to call and thank her, or anyone else that does something nice. It's always their idea to thank others, we never have to remind them! I love it!

Sounds like you guys are having fun!!!!! Your grandkids all sound so sweet!!!

Good morning and Happy Monday!
The temperatures will be dropping a bit over the next couples of days and we are expecting a wintry mix over night.
Typical day for me, I have chores to do and errands to run. I am also bringing Maggie to the specialist later this afternoon. I need to go to her veterinarians office this morning to sign out her X-rays and test results to show the specialist. I hope we can get some answers, she was up coughing a lot last night. I feel bad for her and I am exhausted from lack of sleep. Wish us luck!

Spotted these on the way to work, so nice to see the flowers coming up again!

The flowers are so nice to see again.. my vegetable garden is even starting to come alive! Spinach, lettuce, peaces... buds on my blueberry bush and my strawberries have their first flower! So lovely after the winter.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here with temps falling from the 60's at midnight to the upper 20's by this evening. The rain should turn to snow at some point but it looks like we will only see a dusting if it sticks at all. Not to much on my agenda for today. Just have to do the normal daily chores. Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, The Music Man is finally behind us, and Elizabeth loved every minute of it! She looks so grown on that stage, oh my. I'm looking forward to a break from play practices, but auditions for the summer play, Oliver Twist is next week. How will I ever survive this?!? And she want to tryout for a singing and speaking part this time.

It's been in the 80's all week, and I've been struggling to keep the pool clean and clear. The water is almost warm enough to swim. nice!

I have a prayer request please - my brother in law went in for a heart cath this morning & now he is next in line for the next available operating room! His main artery is 95% blocked! They said it's the kind where you're alive one minute, dead the next. So glad he went in to get checked, but UGH, I hate it! My sis is very upset (obviously) but their 2 kids are on their way to the hospital, my niece should be there soon.

Good morning, MMC!

Most of the rain stayed south of where I live, but the two times it did rain, it rained hard! The creek is flowing quite fast and there is water in the basement, but not enough to pump out as of this time. I've been checking every half hour and the water level hasn't risen by too much so it is looking good down there! It is very windy out and I'm sure there will be quite a mess of branches to clean up when all is said and done, but as long as the fur kids are safe and the electricity stays on, all will be good!

She is just so precious....Kandice wanted me to boil the eggs as well so we can color them....but I will do it tomorrow or next tomorrow....not exactly sure yet

Okay, that settles it. Instead of going up near Canada to camp with friends in a few weeks, I'm packing up my hammock and sleeping bag and heading to Holiday's lake!!!
