Christmas Countdown - 2014

Hi everyone......



Kandice´s school was closed today, because some meeting of teachers of several schools......of course....no need to say that the little squirrel was mighty exited....hahaha



I think my cold has gotten slightly better........I´ve been inhaling wick´s vapor type of stuff....drinking a lot....and haven´t smoked since last Friday.....I actually suspect when the time since I smoked gets bigger....everything will get better.......stupid me.....of course I know it´s unhealthy....but You kinda put it in the back of Your head......I can quit if I want to....of I can quit in a few years.....lol....I hope I will have the strenght to do it this time.....for good!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a cooler rainy day here in central Indy with a high around 64. Not a whole lot on the agenda for today. Just my normal chores and then mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Besides that, I'm going to try and catch a Christmas movie or something to help brighten this dreary day. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!

We had Honors Day ceremonies last night, and the kids received several awards. They were so proud of themselves, and so was I! The teacher (Susan) who did most of the speaking is actually a girl I graduated HS with, and she was telling the parents that they should feel free to come down front to take pictures when their kids' names are called. When they called Elizabeth, Nancy said "Go get the picture!" So I stood up and took a step forward, then she said "Never mind, don't go!", so I squatted down...but it was too late. Susan called out "Come on down, Brad!" I said something stupid (in front of all those people!) like, "Nancy made me do it!" Susan said, "yeah, it's always the woman's fault, eh?" It got a big laugh. I was red all over...LOL.

Guitar lessons and ballet lessons this afternoon. Always something.

congrats to your kids and well done getting the pictures even if you had to be "pushed" into it.

Just curious but when do kids start summer holidays where you are?? How long do they get? Here they get five weeks from end of July to end of August.

Also when does the sun rise and set in the summer where you are. For us in peak summer it starts getting light just after 4am and goes dark around 10pm.

What about you all?????

here the kids are done near the end of June and return the first day after labor day in September
Here it starts to get light at 5:30 am and dark by 9:30 pm

It's going to be mostly cloudy today with temperatures in the lower 60's.
Typical day for me. I have some chores to do around the house and then I'll be heading out to run a couple of errands, including a trip to Target. My youngest also has a dentist appointment later this afternoon, just a routine cleaning. And If I have time I would like to take a ride to Hallmark to look for invitations for my daughters graduation party. Not too much else going on.

Doing the usual don't want to go to work Wednesday stuff, especially since it is Game 7 for the Bruins tonight. I will pretty much miss the whole game, I may catch the very end if it doesn't go to OT.
Not much else going on around here today, just biding my time until it's time to head in.

if I can quit drinking diet coke (I drank at least 2 L a day!) you can quit smoking. You are stronger than you think! ((((HUGS))))

I have been here on and off today, just now actually got a chance to reply.
I have been out shopping, having a visit with a friend and cleaning up around here.

Will be making a stir fry for dinner. We are trying to get more plant based foods in our diet and eliminate more of those processed foods. So tonight will be a chicken stir fry with lots of vegies. Cantaloupe for dessert.

Very busy morning here. It is beautiful out, we finally got a break in the rain hooray!!!

Hoping to surprise Mr. Festive with dinner out in the garden this evening. I found some garden lanterns I bought last summer and can't wait to light them later. The children will love it!

Yes. It's once again mid week and time to visit our holiday resort of choice.



It's also time for our daily inspection of the count figures......and time to make a shocking discovery!



First, the numbers:

Days to the Season: 183

Days to Christmas Day: 225



Then -- the shocking discovery:

TOMORROW will be the HALF-WAY MILESTONE to Christmas Season 2014!

(That's so shocking.......it's electrifying!)





Well, it keeps getting warmer and warmer and the humidity inches up day by day.

Still not too bad, though, but we are starting to be reminded of what summer is all about here in the south!

Right now, we show 70 degrees on our thermometer with a pretty good chance of rain for tomorrow.
