You should see the flooding everywhere. It is INSANE! The river Thames is now running through people 's gardens!

That's awful! An old song popped into my head: "River, Stay 'Way from My Door." I hope the Thames stays out of YOUR garden.

They are saying 50's here by the end of next weeek!!! We will really be in shorts by then!!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

The kids are out of school again due to weather. They were out yesterday, and they had a scheduled holiday Friday and Monday, so they really are getting some time off!

We never got any snow or ice here, but a town just 20 miles north was iced over, with power outages. That's where we go for dance and guitar lessons, so yesterday's lessons were cancelled. It's till pretty cold & windy here, though.

We hired a couple guys from the temp agency yesterday. One left after half a day, and the other didn't come in at all. LOL They said it was too cold for them to work. No wonder they're still with the temp agency. All our full time guys were here all day. Oh well.

I just got a text from my friend in GA! She said they are iced in with a dusting of snow on top! She was talking about the kids nice long break too. Hope they enjoy!!! Stay safe!

Festive Spirit, I'm happy you came through the storm all right. I hope the next one that's coming is nowhere near as brutal.

School just called, they changed their mind! We have a snow day, I'm so happy!

I'm glad to hear they finally used their brains and canceled. So happy you don't have to go out!

I wish my work would call me off!

It's a white out right now, lots of snow coming down, plus blowing & drifting. Not looking forward to the drive in.

Ever make a grilled cheese sandwich in a waffle iron? It works pretty well!
Might not be a bad idea for lunch today. I'm working from home because we're expecting 6 to 9 inches of snow, followed by a changeover to sleet and freezing rain. Mr. drove to the train station, so I'll be worrying about his drive home tonight. It's only a few minutes to the center of town, but still I worry.

I am so sorry but I don't have time to read one thing on the forums right now. I really need some prayers and good thoughts sent my way. Chico has been dropped off at the vet and praying for good news when the vet calls back. I'm a wreck and need prayers to be strong!!!

Mr. drove to the train station, so I'll be worrying about his drive home tonight. It's only a few minutes to the center of town, but still I worry.

50s..... man I am looking forward to that. I think we get to high 40s by Tues or Wed. This snow is insane. It's just piled so high from storm after storm. Shoveling seems like it's a daily chore now. This winter hasn't been fun.. at all! And I am a big snow lover!!!

On a happier note, I bougth candy canes at Walgreens yesterday! 15 cents for a dozen (90% off!!) Score!
