Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
Sophia are Rosie are completely bonkers this morning. They've been chasing each other around the house, it sounds like a herd of elephants are in here when they run across the wood floors. I have my sliding glass door open and every once in a while they climb to the top of the screen and catapult themselves off. Nutjobs.
Anyway, today is my youngest daughters birthday. I'm going to take the girls to P.F. Chang's for lunch, maybe do a little bit of shopping with them. Then back home to bake a birthday cake and make lasagna for dinner.

My daughters have been so good to me. They brought me flowers, cards, stuffed animals, a Keepsake ornament and an engraved picture frame with one of my favorite shots of Molly. Love those girls.

And just like that, we discover that we will be facing SINGLE DIGITS to the 50 percent marker to Christmas Day, as of the day after tomorrow.
Wow!


Do we need to get out of this heat rut? Mother Nature thinks so. She believes it should be even hotter.
A temperature of 100 degrees is predicted for tomorrow, with the heat index near 105!
(Lord have mercy. It's not even officially Summer yet!)
This morning has started off at 78 degrees here in the capital city and we are dry as dust.


Well, regardless of your weather, try to have the Most Magnificently Marvelous Monday of your lives, OK?

Today is Palmer's 4th birthday! My brother and I had a small party for her this morning ~ before the heavy rain hit. She was a bit scared, but enjoyed her presents, food and jingle balls.

Today is also Mouse's Angelversary ~ I still miss her so much!

Since it was rather cool out today, I baked Tequila Lime Bars. Other than that, just taking care of busy work for the store.

Thank you for all the thoughts & prayers for our friends son & also my Mom. The viewing for Sam is tonight ~ it's going to be a tough one. Our lake neighbors are meeting at the lake & heading over together. We are going out for dinner after.

Please pray for my friend and co worker, her cancer has returned and she is asking for all to please pray for her. A few years back she survived brain cancer this is Esophageal cancer. She is starting chemo next week.

We've had some nasty storms here today. A bolt of lighting hit a 50 foot tree across the street from my apartment building a few hours ago and brought it down. Luckily, it broke and fell in a way that it missed that building by just a few inches. They say the storms tonight are going to be even worse so here's hoping they are wrong.

Hope you stayed safe in the storms. They didn't get too nasty here, but we were out of power at the lake for about an hour on Friday.

Wish I could crawl back in to bed but I have to head out soon. I need to make a big food shopping trip, we have nothing in the house. Today is my husbands birthday. Not sure what we're doing. Hoping I can pull myself together this evening so we can go out for a nice dinner. If not, we'll grill steaks and I'll bake his favorite cake. He'll be happy either way.
