Good Morning!

Well say, now. Was it worth the wait?
(And the wait really wasn't very long since the last Milestone, was it?)

Regardless, we have arrived at the first day of the LAST THIRD of our Season count!

Days to the Season: 122
Days to Christmas Day: 164

And as usual, I'm afraid to look ahead to the next Milestone. Too scary.
The year is slipping away fast!
Let's postpone that until at least tomorrow, OK?


Not too bad weather-wise for July here yesterday. Somewhat lower heat and humidity after a rather noisy electrical storm around 5:00 AM.
Hopefully, it will be quieter today.
Right now, our temperature recording device says it is 72 degrees in our back yard.

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday!
Happy Milestone Day!!!
The town finally finished paving our street, it looks beautiful. So happy that's over with. I'm heading out soon to pick up a few things at the supermarket. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. I also have plans to get lunch with my youngest, she gets off of work at 1:00 today. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Glad to hear the road is done. I just hope they painted the lines better than this town.

Another day, another headache. This one is from going out in the heat to mow the lawn. I got half the yard done, and quit because of rain.
Taking it easy now, AC on keeping it cool.

It is frustrating. It let 'r loose again at lunch. POURING! Our lights flickered, it was rumbling around, crazy wind. Gracie was not impressed! I opened the basement door to feed the fish & she followed me down & crawled under the end table. I turned on the tv for her down there to drown out the noise! (spoiled girl!) She was still there when I came back to work!



BUT the sun is out now again! Crazy weather!

Aww, what a sweetheart. I hope the weather clears up soon. Sending hugs for Gracie!

Hey Christmas Friends....hope your week is going well! Mine is pretty good. Cannot believe it is already the middle of July...this summer is flying by! As much as I love summer I am looking forward to fall.

Not up to much this week..just working away! My kids are going to my in-laws from Wed to Fri. so my hubby and I are going to go out to dinner one of those nights.

Snow-in-Texas, my granddaughter and I had a very Merry weekend. Started off with a visit to Hallmark in Sachse, Texas for the premiere of their Christmas ornaments and to visit Santa who is also a friend of ours and a member here at MMC, lonestar_kringle. My granddaughter was so excited to see Santa! She knows we chat with him throughout the year and thought we were there to pick him up and take him with us! :lol: As most of you all know I do collect Santa figurines but I don't collect live ones! Ha ha!

From there we went to our grandson's basketball game. After that we headed out to the year round Christmas store in Arlington, Texas. We had lunch in their tearoom that is all decked out for Christmas, it was yummy! We played Christmas music in the car all day. Nothing like cozy Christmas music on a hot July day!

lonestar_kringle is the official Santa of Neiman Marcus in Dallas and is the one who countsdown/lights up the Christmas Tree in Downtown Dallas for their annual ceremony. We have had the pleasure to attend the Tree Lighting ceremony in the past and hope to attend many more!

Many thanks to lonestar_kringle for making our Christmas in July Merry! My granddaughter talked about him all day and still is talking about him!

Thanks for the kind words. It was good to see you all, especially your granddaughter.

I just WISH I could have gone with you guys to Decorator's Warehouse in Arlington! I used to be the Santa for the one in Plano before it closed. I loved that store but have never been to the one in Arlington.

Tell your granddaughter that Santa loves her and will be checking his list again. And, before she knows it, Christmas will be here and Santa will have snuck in & out once again. :busy:
