Looks like it will be a rainy Monday here as well. It's dry out there right now but they're calling for isolated thunderstorms with a high of 82 degrees.
I'm heading to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch with my family to celebrate my birthday. My parents are coming later this evening for dinner and cake. Should be a fun day!

Déjà vu from last Friday night .
We had been having a lightning storm for about an hour, and only a 30% chance of rain through the 11 o'clock hour .
Out of the blue, there was a tornado warning issued.
No severe thunderstorm watch or warning was ever issued. We have taken cover.
Poor Harlowe is nervous, and so am I.
I'm so tired right now.
Funnel clouds and damage reports have been reported in the Chippewa Falls & Fall Creek areas.
Blake Shelton was on stage at Country Jam, but they Cancelled just to play it safe.

SO glad you guys stayed safe!!!!

Merry Christmas in July! Comedy Central is having a Christmas marathon to celebrate so I will be parked in front of the tv!

I watched Christmas Vacation & part of Elf too! I had it on the tv, so every time I walked inside I would catch bits & pieces. Loved it!

The nice weather continues today, it will be partly sunny with a high of 81 degrees. I'm heading out in a few minutes to get my food shopping over with. I'm having my parents for lunch and I'm already running behind schedule. We're going to grill chicken and burgers so it will be easy peasy. I just have to throw together a pasta salad and we'll grill corn on the cob as well. Not too much else going on today. My oldest comes home from Florida later tonight, can't wait to see her. That's about it for me. I'll be back at some point.

Just got back from a wonderful time with some relatives at their camp site, lovely calm piece of river and coyotes howling and crying around midnight; was pretty cool. I left earlier hoping to spend time celebrating with everyone here, but wound up with a killer migraine. Twenty miles from home, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" was playing on my MP3. I belted out that song like I was performing on stage and thinking of everyone here while concentrating on the tasks of driving.

To celebrate Christmas in July, Snow-in-Texas and I went back to the large Christmas store, Decorators Warehouse in Arlington, Texas. The first picture is what you see as soon as you walk in the door. There are signs all over that more merchandise coming soon. There is a lot already, looking forward to more! This place is so beautiful!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a hot week here with temps around 90 and feel like temps well over 100. We also had about 3 hours of heavy rain last night. That put us over the threshold for the wettest month ever in central Indy. A lot of people flooded for the 3rd time this month. It's killing the farmers too. The last number I heard was that 30% of the corn crop and 25% of the soybean crop was going to be lost due to all of the rain and the fields laying in water. I have to babysit all day today. My sister has to work registration at the school she works at. So at least I'm at my aunts house with central air, internet, and cable tv for the day!!! WooHoo!! Of course, my niece's handed me a to do list as soon as I walked in the door. I've already had to tighten all of the bolts on their bunk beds and rebuild 2 dresser drawers that they broke. Then mom has to go back for her second sleep study tonight. They are going to try her out on 2 different machines to see which one works best for her. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

We changed our minds at the last minute and went to the Outback for a steak! Sort of an Australian Christmas on the barbie! Also went to the Christmas Tree Shop (a bargain store). No Christmas stuff there yet, but got some good bargains. I got a brand new Mixmaster stand mixer for $49.99. It'll make some good cookies this season! I still have my mom's, but it's so old I'm afraid to plug it in and try it, so it was nice to find a new one at a bargain.

Nice find on the mixer! I can smell the cookies baking already!

And secondly I'm wicked jealous because the Cheesecake Factory happens to be one of my favorite restaurants. Took my daughter there with several of her friends this past June to celebrate her 10th bday. Have soooo much fun with your family!

While we were out yesterday enjoying our Christmas in July celebration we stopped by a restaurant to eat. They had on a local radio station that plays a mixture of pop and rock n roll music. We heard several songs from Aerosmith to Michael Jackson, then we heard Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives!!! At first I thought it was an intro to a Christmas in July commercial but it wasn't, they played the whole song. It was confirmed by their website that they were playing one Christmas song each hour for Christmas in July. There were a couple of comments on their facebook page of confusion asking how come they just heard Santa Claus in Coming to Town. They were not hateful about it, just confused. Didn't confuse us, we loved it! One comment on there was of anger, "Stop playing Christmas music"! Bah humbug! That was our station for the rest of the day!

That big fellow is still King of this merry Castle.

He loves Christmas too, mainly for the gift bags and to offer assistance in wrapping presents, although he likes to pull the Scotch Tape off and reposition it with his teeth and paws. I'm surprised he hasn't wound up wrapping himself up.

The weather is gray and sticky and could break out in showers and thunderstorms later, so it's a good day for relaxing. I had all sorts of good ideas for projects last night, but after getting up this morning, I have no energy for them. Maybe I'll get a little "zing" later in the day. With July almost over, I must get the Christmas projects rolling!

We celebrated CIJ last night with a Christmas episode of "Mrs. Brown's Boys." That was a lot of fun!

Throughout the summer, our Christmas cactus has been growing like crazy. I hope we get a lot of blossoms this winter. If she doesn't wear herself out with growing bigger!

I need to get a new one. I had one for years...always seemed to bloom in July though! Lol! For some reason it died on me!

hot day here and going to be an even hotter week.
Had a relaxing day, not feeling very well for most of, better now but still feeling off.
LittleCS was over doing her laundry
Getting things ready for my meeting tomorrow afternoon.
Dishes almost done, baking another batch of sourdough bread in the morning, it is the only bread we eat here now.
Was going to go for a walk but it is still a humidex of 31c outside so think I will just cuddle with the AC instead.
