Hope everyone had a great weekend and is enjoying a nice Sunday evening. I worked all weekend and I am exhausted. It's not even our busy season yet and there's tons of people in the store! Saturday night was our work Summer party, we went to a casual restaurant and drew prizes for our employees. It was nice but it made it a looooooong day. Still very hot and humid here, hard to believe it's already the end of August. When reading your posts about the Bers, I kept racking my brains, trying to figure out what it meant. About a month ago, I saw the word SeptemBER and it finally clicked. Right around the corner...

That's the idea! I've also heard that it's really relaxing...if I could manage to put down my crochet for a few minutes. Anyway, I'm liking the idea of buying some seasonal stuff with my gift card!

I know the Blossoms thread doesn't open for a few more weeks now (but we can count by weeks!), but if you all will permit me...

I came across some great displays yesterday at our local Christmas shop. They opened early this year. So, maybe a little Blossoms preview?

Long story short Mum eventually made her visit here. Today is her last day though. She leaves tomorrow. It will be a very tough day so I will come by for some Christmas cheer with my Christmas family here

We've started the Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas transition today.
I am so excited! Michelle and KK got all the Fall and Halloween stuff out of the attic and Michelle and I bought 5 new Christmas wreaths, and several Fall & Halloween decorating items today after church. It won't be long!

Hope everyone is having a great evening! My youngest daughter and I are watching a Halloween episode of Modern Family...I am looking forward to the Bers! Our lunch was so good with my in-laws. I had Penne alla vodka with shrimp..it was so good and I have leftovers for tomorrow. Sleep well my MMC friends!

Good evening,

Watching the Bengals preseason game tonight, they lead, but no stress watching it since it doesn't count.
Our day was a lot busier than anticipated, Old Navy was having a sale on jeans, JP needed some and we hit the jackpot, 3 pairs for less than a total of $25.
Did more shopping and caught a late lunch/early dinner.
I am tired, and ready for bed.
Kids head back to school tomorrow.

when all through the town
the parents were cheering
it was a riotous sound.

By eight the kids were washed
and tucked into bed
when memories of homework
filled them with dread.

New pencils, new folders, new notebooks too,
new teachers, new friends, the anxiety grew.
The parents just giggled when they heard of this fright
