Christmas Countdown - 2016

Happy New Week, everyone!

We're actually getting a little snow this morning. We're expecting 1 or 2 inches before it's all over. It's nice and seasonal, but even that little bit of snow is snarling up the morning traffic, so it was a slow crawl to the office. Happily, it's supposed to clear out before this evening, when Mr. is hosting a film show.

Morning! Personally I feel like I have about 10 days of somewhat sanity before things go nuts. Why? In 10 days we have my work Christmas party, then pick up my bro at airport that weekend at 5AM, then my final exam a couple days later after work (makes for a long day), then a busy couple of days at work before finally off for Christmas (Fri Dec 23 - Mon Dec 26). Yeah...work a few days, then 4 more days off for New Years weekend. Blink and it's 2017. Scare you? Scares me...so that's why this week and these next 10 days slowwwwwwwwww please.

Good Morning everyone...happy Monday!! We had a little snow this morning and the kids had a delay. It was nice to sleep in for a bit. Just the usual work for me today and I got some more shopping done. I have this Fri and Monday off so it will be nice to have a long weekend. Hopefully, I will get most of my wrapping done. Have a great day!! We are getting so close to the big day!

Boys still have the congestion and nose leaking...lol..I have used 3 boxes of tissues in 3 days.

Carolina will meet her elf for the first time tomorrow. I hope she is super excited. Tonight we baked cookies and watched Charlie Brown Christmas.

Can't believe it how fast we got here!
It wasn't so long ago the first signs of Christmas started appearing. Suddenly here we are with many seasonal milestones all ready checked off!

I have the weekend off and I am so happy! Lots of festive fun ahead!

Good Friday morning! I have the day off and I need it to try and get over this cold that turned worse yesterday. I do have some chores and laundry to do and I should do some grocery shopping, but I'll see how much I can get done. I want to get started on watching Christmas movies today. Last night after work I was out of it and couldn't even think of watching anything. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Merry Friday Friends!! My youngest daughter hurt her knee last night at basketball practice. She said she just bent down and it twisted. When I picked her up I noticed she was limping and she showed it to me and it was a bit swollen. I called my neighbor, he is physical therapist and he had me ice it. So I will do that over the weekend and if it is not better then I will take her to the Dr on Monday.
I am just working today and getting in a workout...I have been slacking and need to get back on track.

Hanging out with my cousin today. Just found out her mom is in the hospital so she is trying to find out the details, so I'm using her laptop. So much different than mine ~ hard to get used to it. Other than that, just doing errands and some shopping.

Good Morning, Friends.
Rise, shine and start the first full week of December --- the month of Christmas!

And our single, solitary count number soldiers on alone:
Days to Christmas Day: 20 (Now UNDER 3 weeks remain!)
(We just keep getting closer.....and closer......and.....)


Chilly yesterday but still OK. Some evening rain wetted things down a bit.
Today should be clear with highs in the low 60's. Not bad for December here in North Carolina.
Currently, we have 45 sunny degrees, accompanied by singing birds here in the central part of the state.

I never made it in on Friday, I was at work for 13+ hours, and today we were out all day long. I am happy to say we are 100% done Christmas shopping all the way down to the final stocking stuffers.

2,5 hour drive over the Mountain.
Love it there!

Finally got some sleep...
All the snow we got the last couple of days are melted.
It will snow again today, but also rain later...
Have some errands in the city today, and a lunchdate with Thomas so I better keep going.

Good Monday morning! Worked all weekend and it sure was busy. One more weekend to work before Christmas (the 17-18). Still feeling under the weather, so David is bringing out and putting up decorations each day. He got lights on the tree and wreaths up. I hope that tomorrow on my day off I'm able to finish decorating the tree. Hope everyone will have a wonderful day!

Good morning again MMC! "Merry" Monday!! So I was up from 2:30-5:30 am...watched Grandpa For Christmas, & the start of The Night Before The Night Before Christmas - and then when my alarm went off this morning, I could have slept all day! Go figure! It's so dark & dreary outside - sure wish it would snow some more. Sure looks like it could! xx

So the plan for Mom is that she will go "swing bed" today or tomorrow. Which means she will stay in the same room at the hospital, but only receive therapy - no nursing care. It's a way to get her extra therapy without being admitted to the nursing home. My brother/sil come home from Massachusetts on Wednesday for my nephews wedding, so hopefully they can help out a little since they will be staying at her house anyway. It's doubtful that she will make it to the wedding, but we'll see! xx

Merry Monday!

Hope that everyone had a Christmassy weekend!

Adrian and I went out for Mexican Friday night, and ran into some friends. We had fun catching up with them, and unwinding after a long week.

My FIL is going through some medical problems, again-Adi got an unnerving voicemail from him on Thursday , so he rushed down to check on him as he wasn't answering the phone, and spent the day there. He was okay, but is struggling. He has surgery in a few weeks.

My Christmas party went well last week, we had so much fun! And the food turned out great!

I spent a lot of time this weekend working on Christmas cards for the card exchange, and started some for family too.

We got a few inches of snow yesterday, it's was so beautiful to watch it fall. I needed a dose of Christmas magic!



This truly is the most wonderful time of the year...
