good morning all my merry friends !
Still buried here in lots of snow, more on the way but not to much more I hope. We are still under a snow squall watch. Not sure where it is supposed to come from as I do not see much on the weather radar, It is not to cold at only -12c (10f). Some areas have school buses cancelled for 3rd day in a row.
Off to work today
Stay safe CS! Have a good day!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day to all and hope you are enjoying that we are into mid-week. It certainly got colder over night after our snow showers. But still when I think back to last winter this does not feel terrible. Yes it's cold and feels like winter but it does not feel like well...-13 snowflake? Or whatever insane temp you have this morning that we had the pleasure (or not) of experiencing here last winter. Nevertheless, it's Wednesday and I'm going to go to Applebees for dinner with my mom and bro/sis after work. Something to help me get over the hump of the week.
I hope everyone has a great 3rd day of the week and stays warm in these cold January days!
Enjoy dinner with your family! Can't go wrong with Applebee's! Have a great day!

This is our cat Olaff. We made this meme in 2014 for our social media promotions, because Bud was doing forearm poses after someone made a joke about the size of his arms. LOL I thought you guys would just appreciate the Christmassy cat and lights. Found it on my phone while looking for some winter scenes to post here that I had saved.

They still have the Book Fairs too!!!
My wife being a teacher, is a book lover, I am a book lover, and we have instilled a love of books in both our boys. They both love going to Barnes & Noble to pick out new books.
Tell you the truth, the prices for books from Scholastic are still very good, you can get a lot of books that are priced between $3-$6.
Great prices! I'm glad they're still selling books and doing the book fairs. It's so important to get kids "hooked" on books. They're one of the few media left that still calls for a respectable attention span---everything else in the entertainment world (except maybe feature films) seems to be created and marketed for bite-size consumption.

Last minute emergency dog walk lead me to the front of the house to the door that no one uses. There was my LP album, propped up on the door frame.

I brought it in and written across both sides in bold marker, "FRAGILE."

I put it down on the kitchen counter, Bud took one look at it and without missing a beat said, "Fra-geeeeeelaaay. Huh, it must be Italian!"
So glad that it finally came! "FRAGILE" and all! Enjoy!
I heard Record 1 last weekend. I hope I can get to the others this weekend.

Olaff is adorable!! Love it.
Thanks for sharing!!

Well, the 2 hour delay from last night turned into CLOSED!!! Not because of the cold but the ice is really bad on the roads from yesterday. With the high winds and cold temperatures, the road crews could not keep the roads clear. So even my wife, who teaches at an in town school got to close. My school closed, which happens more often because I teach in a rural school district. Lots of open fields for snow to blow back across the road. In any case, another snow day!!!
:snowball
Enjoy your second snow day!
I have my sights set on next Monday, when our office is closed for the MLK Day holiday. (Cross your fingers, though---last year I had to work that day anyway!)

This week is also the end of the semester, so we have an early dismissal (students only) on Friday. No School on Monday for Martin Luther King Day.
So the week looks like this: Monday-2 hour delay Tuesday-closed Wednesday- closed Thursday-should be open, but we will see;) Friday- early dismissal. Followed by a 3 day weekend, which includes Henry's 7th birthday on Saturday.
Tough week! :D
Good grief, sounds like the holidays all over again! Good for you! Hope you get to relax and enjoy yourself!

The cold really does not seem to bother me either. We are having -15 degree wind chills now and while it is cold, I have little problem dealing with it. I tend to keep the house cool, or cold as everyone else in the family thinks. It is the summer heat I cannot deal with. Once it is over 75 I feel like I am melting. Maybe I am part snowman!?!?
:brr
You would feel right at home in my office. Most days I'm bundled up in a heavy crocheted shawl by 11 a.m. in spite of a space heater!

What a sweet story about your son! You have brought him up right!
Awesome finds on the baking goods!!!
So happy to read your LP arrived!!!
Sorry to hear about your technology issues. Hope they are straightened out soon. Frustrating.
Have a wonderful day graywolf!
Thanks Holiday! Hope you have a beautiful day!
