You guys are on page 265. I'm about to start reading 249, but lots of work to do so I'll have to catch up more later. LOL Just wanted to jump in here to say hope everyone has a great Thursday and is careful if your area is getting hit with heavy snows and low temps.

The last two days have been a business nightmare for us between our hosting server and some other things. I've spent more time on hold with HostGator in the last 24 hours than I have doing anything else. *banging head on keyboard*

Snowflake - hope you're able to get in to see your chiropractor soon. I too get headaches from positional and alignment issues. Although I lucked out because Bud is a massage therapist so when they hit, he can work them out quickly. Hope it's gone quickly!

Oh no.... a cataclysmic event has just occurred. As I am typing this - Sadie's favorite rope toy just tore in half as she was playing tug. I ask for a moment of silence.... she's in mourning. I'm getting sad Pitbull eyes.

Have a Merry Thursday evening all! I'm sorry I missed The Pines. Hope everyone got home safely.

My cold isn't worse, but I am exhausted so I am taking it easy today. There are a few things I need to do for the store, but other than that, I am going to read and maybe even nap. Working this weekend and I can't be tired when I do as I have displays to arrange as well as customers to help.

I don't think I explained myself very well
My Mom knew she'd need full knee surgery, but because of insurance rigamorol, red tape and whatnot, the first route they "recommended" was to try Arthroscopic surgery... to see if that could delay the knee surgery for a few years.

I know it's successful for a lot of people! Best wishes to your friend.

Thanks, Mom is having a wonderful time being a snowbird in AZ! She's so active, I wonder where all of her energy comes from!

I'm glad your Mom is doing so well & loving life! Good for her!
Hopefully my friends surgery is over & all went well & they didn't have to go to more extremes! xx

My day was good Festive thanks for asking...Your dinner sounds yummy MMMmmm...Tonite its king prawns and friend rice..My mouth is watering..

I have to ask, what is cottage pie & what is King Prawns. I know what friend rice is! Tee Hee!!

Praying! I know it was a few days ago now, but I hope she's doing well! (On page 248 of the posts, so I didn't get to see if you updated yet since Wednesday afternoon. )

Thank you graywolf. Nobody has heard anything more. She is VERY private. My sister may know something, but my SIL always swears her to secrecy. So ??? I just pray she's ok!

Her apt. went well, thanks!! She got a snowflake bow...groomer thought that was appropriate as much as she loves to romp around in the snow. LOL

I think it would be mathematically possible to crochet a smaller afghan that would add the correct amount of width to your project and then whip stitch/sew the two pieces together. You should be able to weave the strands in for your border with no problem when you are done.
Oh my gosh! I would probably be quicker to rip it out & start over! I'm not good at whip stitching things together. LOL! But I believe you are correct, that could possibly work. I'll send it to you!

Thank you! I'm so happy for her & Dad, too. They have been having a ball in AZ, always doing something fun outside, and hanging out with friends

I have to ask, what is cottage pie & what is King Prawns. I know what friend rice is! Tee Hee!!

Cottage Pie is basically ground beef with carrots/peas/onions etc cooked separately and then layered with mashed potatoes, topped with cheese or breadcrumbs and baked in the oven. (As with all dishes there are many variations of course!) Shepherd's Pie is the version using minced Lamb instead.

King Prawns are what we call very large shrimp here.

Holiday, if you did two small afghans that amounted to the correct width that you need then you could add one to either side of the original afghan and it would look like it was meant to be that way. Without swatching it myself, it seems like there would be an added row/vertical line on one side and not the other if you only did one added on afghan.

This is the afghan (pattern picture) I have started. I'll send it to you to finish, ok?
