Nothing exciting at all. I'm guessing my hubby will pick up a fish dinner from somewhere on his way home - or stop at the fish fry at the Legion. I will probably have grilled cheese & tomato soup! If I'm still at the hospital I guess I'll eat in the cafeteria food!

I don't think I mentioned this because this last week has been so overwhelming.
But, Har's regular vet was to do the dental surgery. She didn't diagnose Har with the murmur, another vet did a few months ago when ours was out of the office for awhile-I believe I mentioned it here. The vet who diagnosed her told me there was nothing you could do until she started showing symptoms, and that you could take x-rays but there's not preventative meds, just meds once the heart failure begins. Well, that vet "forgot" to put her diagnosis in Harlowe's chart! My regular vet had no idea. Thank God she heard it while performing her exam prior to surgery. When she called me, she told me herself what she found. Had she not heard it, she could've performed the surgery with the shape her lungs and heart are in...

The vet she saw yesterday while my vet was off, was good. I will insist on her if Har's regular vet is unavailable.

Wow that is horrible....thank the Lord she heard it. I hope you are feeling better and sending prayers for Har...I know it must have been tough leaving her.

Evening friends. A couple of hectic days are ahead, but I'm planning a few days off at the end of the month so focusing on that. This blasted chest infection is still lingering though which is annoying to say the least. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! I got to work an hour early today. More overtime this week. I've been consistently getting a few hours or more of OT this year so far. I'm not complaining about the extra $. But it just makes me appreciate the weekends even a tiny bit more and being able to not have to rush out early. And this weekend coming especially I'm glad I won't have to because the temps are going to be bitter cold. I'm hopeful this will be our coldest stretch of the winter. By next week it's supposed to moderate at least in to the 30s and 40s. That will feel like Florida compared to this weekend. Am I mentioning the word "weekend" too many times when it's only Wednesday? By the way I saw a few houses lit again as I drove to work. Crazy huh? Feb 10! Keep it going till the end of Feb I say!

Not too much going on here today, typical day of errands and chores. I just have to run to the bank and post office this morning. I'm also going to stop at Rite Aid to look at the Valentines Day candy, I almost forgot it was this Sunday. February is moving right along!

The Winter Storm Advisory that was posted for our area should have been a Winter Storm Warning ~ what a mess out there. My brother had an accident on his way home from work last night. He said he was all right and that there didn't appear to be any damage to his truck, but please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much!
The road hasn't been plowed yet so I am home. Lots to do for the store as I am working this weekend. It is going to be bitterly cold ~ not looking forward to going out in that at all!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day! What a morning! Got a call at 6:45 - Mom thinks she has pneumonia! She didn't sleep well last night due to the coughing + she took Nyquil, so that made her "dopey" (her words! ) My sis checked in on her at 7. I stopped on my way to work & she wanted me to get her some cough drops. I stopped at work to see if they needed anything here - got her cough drops & made her a hot toddy (minus the whiskey ) She thought that helped to calm her cough a little. My brother stopped to check on her while I was there. I came back to work & my other sister was on her way there - she is taking her to the doc at 10:45. I finally got to work a little after 9....and it already seems like I've been here a full day! What the heck?! Hopefully some good drugs will help her out & she won't need to be admitted to the hospital. xx
That's been about all that's going on here today! LOL Have a wonderful day MMC!!! (It's cold outside!)
