On a side note about baseball, our neighbor "boy" was traded from the Padres to Pittsburgh this year & he has earned a spot in the opening day roster!! (left handed pitcher) I sure hope things work out well for him. He was doing so well for the Padres & then was set back for 3 years undergoing 2 Tommy John surgeries!! I'm so super excited for him!!! AND he's closer to home now too!!

It was so amazingly yummy!!! Her cheese sauce was extra amazing & SO fattening... LOL - I can get you the recipe if you would like! I can't wait to make it at the lake for our neighbors there.

I was just googling beer cheese dip recipes actually. Mr Festive brought home tortilla chips but no dip so I thought perfect chance to try the beer cheese as he also brought back some german wheat beers.

I came across a nice cheesy salsa beer one I want to try. Shame I haven't got any of the ingredients in though !!! Grrrr!!!!

Here is the "buffet line" Emma had set up

You stack up the food on your plate, one on top of each other starting with:
Crushed Town House crackers
Taco Meat
Noodles
Chopped Lettuce
Diced Tomatoes
Diced Bell Peppers
Diced Carrots
Diced Onion
Homemade Cheese Sauce
Crushed Doritos
Homemade Salsa on top

And it looks like this (with Emma's homemade bread)

Isn't that cool! The son of a friend I graduated HS with was signed by the Atlanta Braves last year. He's playing minors right now, waiting to be called up. Good for him!

Good Afternoon/Evening christmas buddies...Hope everyone is having a good day so far....Its been a cold/wet day here today Brrrrrrrrrr.....So we stayed inside and baked pancakes and watched christmas movies also did a bit of painting with the girls...My wifes last day in New York...I can't wait too have her back home...I have missed her loads this week...Having chicken stir fry for dinner tonite then chill out in front of the tv...Have a lovely weekend ahead christmas buddies

Good morning!

Waiting for daylight so I can start the sump pump ~ it will be the second time today. Things were going great until around 5:00 p.m. yesterday when the rain started. I had tentative plans to go to the first church rummage sale of the season, but am staying home all day.

Poor little Maggie waking up at night. At least she is doing well with her medicine. I hope you get more rest over the weekend.


Nutella pancakes sound delicious. Anything with Nutella is delicious.


I'm keeping you in my thoughts, hope the sump pump keeps everything under control.

Last day of the week and then I have a 3-day weekend. I need it. Workload is insane right now as we're hiring and it's time to see all of our employees for their yearly evaluations. I'm working the evening shift today, it's rather annoying because my husband is going to see the pre-season game between the Blue Jays and the Red Sox in Montreal tonight with his father and I am majorly jealous and sad that I can't go

My family was too sleepy to pull any pranks on me this morning. I was the only one up when I left to come to work LOL. I could here Jacob yelling into the headset mic on his Xbox at 2:30 this morning. Grrr.

And Jacob has a gig tonight, so I bet he'll be beat by the time it's finished. That's what he gets!

Good morning!!! Happy Friday!!! YES!
Emma made us the best meal last night. Haystacks, homemade bread & swiss cake roll cake for dessert. Mmmm, Mmmmm! Her homemade cheese sauce is OH MY YUM! I told her that would be excellent with soft pretzels too! (kinda like the beer cheese dip) I may have to go to Moms for lunch/leftover haystacks. Them Amish sure can cook!
She loved the brew barn! Nick (the owner & our neighbor) came over & told Emma she was the 1st ever Amish at the brew barn & we all got a grand tour! Fun night! And yes, snowflake/Festive - I had (2) Blackberry Prarie Wheat's - 1 for each of you! Now I have to go back so I can have one for myself!

I'm hanging in there Sam. I forgot to mention my daughter went for the echo cardiogram and the results were normal. She was very sick when the doctor heard the murmur, I was told that could have been the reason why one was detected. I'm praying she will not have any issues in the future. Thank you so much for asking!
