Good Morning/Afternoon Christmas friends...Hope everyone is all well today...We have a family gathering here today as my oldest turns 21 next week and she is going abroad then so we are having a family meal with family and a few friends joining us...I have most of the food already prepared so gonna go and chill out for a bit...Enjoy the rest of your day christmas friends.

I know the Blossoms thread doesn't open for a few more weeks now (but we can count by weeks!), but if you all will permit me...

I came across some great displays yesterday at our local Christmas shop. They opened early this year. So, maybe a little Blossoms preview?

Hello all! It has been a busy week with school starting back. It was a good start back to school, no major issues. Just the normal minor irritations you find every year.
Friday night football games around the area were all delayed at about half time due to a huge line of storms which came through. The games were finished on Saturday morning. Covington, my school, won the season opener. We have a new coach this year and were playing a team that is always tough and beats us often. We are on a streak of 11 straight playoff seasons. No pressure for the new coach.
Nathan, my oldest, had his first Cross Country meet on Saturday as well. He did not run since he got a late start, but it was good for him to go and see the process for the events. He may get to run next weekend.
I just finished getting lesson plans ready for the week. I still need to do some grading today, but that is easy grading.
Things will get back to a normal routine now that we are through the first week!

It's going to be sunny today with a high of 83 degrees. Not too much going here, it should be a relaxing day. My parents are coming over for dinner tonight. I plan on going to the pasta shop later this morning to pick up fresh raviolis

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!

Lulu and I are on the couch while I have my coffee and Pop-Tart. We're watching Star Trek, but only because it's her favorite show.

I got up early yesterday morning, and went to work on my sign rental business. It took most of the day, but I think I'm caught up for the month. Then I jumped in the pool with a couple nephews, while Nancy & our niece chatted on the deck.

Jacob went out with friends last night, and Elizabeth played on the Xbox with some friends, so Nancy and I got some Chinese takeout and watched a scary movie.

@snowflake22 we watched Annabelle. It didn't get good ratings, but we thought it was really scary!

Har & I have some dvr'd shows calling us, but first some housework & laundry.
Our outdoor time got rained out yesterday, so hopefully we can get some longer walks & reading time on the deck in today.

Long story short Mum eventually made her visit here. Today is her last day though. She leaves tomorrow. It will be a very tough day so I will come by for some Christmas cheer with my Christmas family here

I am getting so excited for the Bers too my friend. Maybe too excited with kind of weather we are still having (Mid 90's thru the next 10 days and well into September). I had Michelle get some hot cocoa mix and miniature marshmallows at the grocery Friday. Wishful thinking I guess. I won't be too much longer.

How is your calendar looking? We are already in the final week of September. That means we are less than a month away from the beginning of the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year - The Christmas Blossoms Thread! I am almost certain the Christmas has already starting "budding," as coined by Crown, in your area.

Although I have not been extremely busy this past month, I have needed some downtime. To be honest, I was completely drained from teaching summer school. I'm back now. I'm all good. I'm excited to countdown with you all the rest of the way. And, what better way to celebrate the countdown than to contribute with images of Christmas budding in Canada's Capital?
