Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Columbus Day! I know many of us don't get today off but if you do enjoy it. I'll be off next Monday as I'm taking my 1st vacation day since mid-August. Does not feel like it's been 2 months but it will be next Monday since I picked up Rollins and that was the last day I took off. I was at the mall yesterday and it just hit me how close we are to everything. 3 weeks till Halloween, 3 weeks after that we're basically at Thanksgiving and 3 weeks after that we're a handful of days away from Christmas. Yikes. Time to really get ready for our favorite time of year.

We're already the 10th AND it's already been almost 2 months since Rollins came home? This year is going by way too fast! It's nice to have a long weekend to look forward to. I was supposed to have one as well but it's been pushed back to the end of the month. Hope you have a great day!

Good Monday morning! Happy Thanksgiving/ Bonne Action de Grâce to my fellow Canucks. I'm working later today. In French Québec, Thanksgiving is not really celebrated, it's more of an anglo tradition. At work we're getting more and more Christmas merchandise now, I'm so excited! An employee was singing a mock version of Jingle Bells yesterday, made him laugh when I told him he was singing my favourite song (not really my favourite but hey, it's a Christmas song). We already have raised 80$ to buy gifts for families in need in just two days, it's going right along. Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

At work we're getting more and more Christmas merchandise now, I'm so excited! An employee was singing a mock version of Jingle Bells yesterday, made him laugh when I told him he was singing my favourite song (not really my favourite but hey, it's a Christmas song). We already have raised 80$ to buy gifts for families in need in just two days, it's going right along. Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

Morning edge. Yes, this time of year we all wait for and then it just picks up speed everyday. I am off today, but that is due to my normal rotation at work which finds me off on Sundays and Mondays (which will be a huge advantage this year since both Christmas & New Year's Day are on a Sunday). If you are off today have fun. Looks like to called yesterday's game on the money.

Greetings to you Martine. Congrats on the great start to your fund raising. I pray the spirit of the season will open the wallets of many for those who have less. I remember growing up a lot of MAD magazine mock Christmas songs. They seemed funnier then... lol

And indeed this is the time of year when we look forward to a veritable string of holidays - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
It's also the time when we traditionally add a count number!
As such:
Days to Halloween: 21 (Three weeks from today!)
Days to the Season: 34 (Under 5 weeks away!)
Days to Christmas Day: 76 (Now under Eleven weeks left!)
Time is really starting to get away from us, Folks.
(It's not too early to start thinking about those holiday plans!)


With the hurricane now behind us, and the yard cleaned up, we can return to more normal weather reporting, and it involves a cool turn. Felt really autumn-like here yesterday, sufficient that a light jacket was called for much of the day.
(Now that really starts one to thinking about the holidays!)
We have 51 chilly degrees here currently this morning and a dry (and CALM! day) is predicted.

I have been taking long weekends lately, and will continue to do so throughout the holiday season. With my husband's schedule, and mine, it works best for us this way. Work wise, too. We were building a hotel earlier in the year, so I didn't take a vacation for about 6 months. It's due!

Yes we picked him up on the 17th of August so next Monday will be 2 months and he will turn 7 months old then. It does seem like it's gone fast but I also feel like he's been with us forever so in a way it seems like it's gone slow. Have a great Monday!!!
