Good Morning, Fellow Christmasoholics.
(What a wonderful addiction it is!)
And we continue to advance boldly into that addiction as we pass below 300 to Christmas Season 2017!
Days to the Season: 299
Days to Christmas Day: 341
And you did indeed read that first number correctly, TWO HUNDRED NINETY NINE days remain until the Season arrives right on schedule, Novermber 13.
(Holy Holidays, Batman!)
Continued nice temperature wise, although it was cloudy with a touch of rain late yesterday afternoon.
I'm looking for a clear day today with continued moderate temperatures.
It is currently a balmy 62 degrees here in our little neck of the MMC woods.
Well, it is 'Pines Day open house once again and Carl is ready as usual at the front door with that first complimentary glass of sweet southern iced tea and a delectible twinkie, fired to perfection! See you there.
And in the meantime, you have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
The smoker was a success! I smoked some pork chops, sausage, and chicken breasts. I have to say, they were worth the wait! I know it sounds like a lot of meat, but I figured while the smoker is running, I might as well put some extra stuff in. We refrigerated the rest, and will have it in the next day or two. I love the smoker!
We have customer coming in this evening, and I'm taking them out to dinner tonight. Our General Manager usually goes with us on these events, but he is out of town today, so that leaves me. I think we'll go to Longhorns. I haven't had a steak in a long time.

I have a Pines Day Funny to start your day. 1st a little back story. Santa in this video is my 9 yo great nephew. He played Santa in his school play. The little girl is my great niece (his cousin) She just turned 1 on Dec. 20th & she has never seen Santa. He didn't think another Christmas should go by w/o her meeting Santa so he wanted to dress up for her. The rest is history.... (maybe it's funnier to me b/c I know their personalities, but I just can't stop laughing at this!!
) The videographer is Santa's little brother!

Nice to see you Missiechick! Enjoy Christmas for the next 11 months!!!Hello, Everyone! I haven't been here in a while but NEEDED to stop by. The weather is very dreary. Foggy, misty air, but icy roads and sidewalks. I combat that by having left up a few wintry Christmas lights and some nice hot coffee. There is lots to do and I don't really want to do a thing. Ah yes, January.
But it's not so bad. The best thing to do is light a candle, make a nice hot drink, and put on the Christmas music. I've been thinking about something a lot lately. I don't really enjoy Christmas when it is Christmastime. Christmas is mine when the stress is gone. That's true Peace. So, now I can enjoy Christmas with all of you for approximately the next eleven months.
Things I am looking forward to: The Packers playing in Atlanta this Sunday, Decorating for Valentine's Day, planning my vegetable garden for spring, becoming an aunt for the second time in May, Christmas!
I hope everyone had a Fantastic Christmas and a Wonderful New Year! I hope you all have a list of things you are looking forward to in 2017!

Just wanted to pop in quick to say hello. First time I'm posting since Saturday. Life has been hectic. Lots of doctor appointments lately. Been a stressful week so far. Would you please send up a prayer for my youngest. We are waiting for biopsy results, should have them by the end of the week. Trying to stay calm for her but I'm a nervous wreck. I'm very upset that she has to deal with something like this already, she's only 20 years old.
I have an appointment this morning with my general physician for a physical and to go over blood work results. I was thinking about canceling but I guess I'll go. Been struggling with fatigue and some other symptoms. My issues seem irrelevant right now. I'm just concerned about my daughter.
I hope things eventually slow down so that I'm able to spend more time here. I try to read the countdown posts as often as I can so I keep up with what's going on, everyone is always in my thoughts <3

Thanks Crown! This is the worst I've been sick since June of 2013 (I rarely get sick luckily)...I was just thinking I'm so thankful it happened around mid-late January than mid-late December!

Yeah as soon as I walked in and said good morning my supervisor says "You do not sound right at all." lol...I'm trying not to talk too much today (I'm sure my coworkers are thankful for that)!
I'm sorry you/her are going through some uncertain times. Don't think the worst HMG! Most of the time things turn out ok and I think they will for your daughter. Best wishes to you and her.
Well that IS great news!!! But like you said - also frustrating that it took 28 months!!! What a "joke"! Hopefully everything goes smooth from here on out now!! xx
