They decided on a couple of day trips instead of an overnighter. So today we drove up to Southbend to the Southbend Chocolate Company and did the tour. Totally not worth the 3 hour drive each way but their mother talked them into it.
Then Friday we are going to the Cincinnati zoo if the weather stays good.
Sending up prayers for all who were affected today.

Good evening,
It was a day off today, but it was just one of those days where I felt like I got hit by a truck. I woke up this morning watching TV the wind is gusting very strong, I run out to get the trash cans so they don't blow down the street. I come back in watch TV again and all of the sudden I roll over and it is after 11. I ran out to get the cans at 745. Didn't do much after that, just cleaned up and laundry.
Back to work in the morning.

So nice to hear from you again Festive. I did catch the news about the attack near Parliament. Even though we know it is only a few who are behind these kinds of cowardly events, it does not lessen their impact. My prayers also go out for those who have been taken and the injured.

Morning MMC peeps! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Another day today and then we can start to think about the weekend ahead (at least we will be able to see it up close). Hard to believe we're heading right for the 1/4 marker this weekend. I think we better ask March why it's in such a rush this year. It's a cold morning but the local weather guy said last night this will most likely be the coldest morning we have until "late fall" which made me smile thinking that would be some time in late November/early December (few things we kinda like happen then). Days to Christmas Day: 277
And the Milestone, which we are now UNDER half a week away from, is the 1/4 point to Christmas Day 2017.

Well, the chilly weather has returned and a jacket was needed all day yesterday, with the same being true for today.
We have commenced this day before Weekend Eve at a below normal 35 degrees here in the capital city.
Say, that conga line got a little out of hand last night at the 'Pines, didn't it?
Who would have believed so many people would have followed Carl right into the swimming pool that way?
Oh, well. You just never know.

I like it when I see references to the next 'Ber time. I got a job last week that had a requested delivery in October, and I smiled the rest of the day.

I haven't thought to mention here, but my brother and his fiancé are having a baby! She has had cancer in the recent past, and the doctors told her she wouldn't be able to get pregnant after the treatments, but she is. They went to the doctor who confirmed it, and said everything looked great. I'll be an uncle (by blood) in November!
It's a little cooler today with a high in the 60's, but, like Edge said, we are told that this is probably the last cool spell till later in the year. Oh, well. A season for all things, but I wish we'd had a real winter LOL.
I think we're going to supper at mama's tonight.
