I agree, but at the time I wrote yesterday I didn't know what kind I was going to chow on. It was a spicy wurst with sweet/hot peppers and cole slaw.

Going to be a busy day - Gracie goes to the beauty parlor at lunch, then she is going back to the vet at 5:00. After doing so well for 3 days & eating good, she decided to stop eating again & has been just laying around! The vet wants to check her out again, so he asked me to bring her in this evening. My high school friends are supposed to be coming to the lake tonight to ride bikes out to eat! A couple friends are busy so the bike ride might fall apart - I'm ok with that! It's been a crazy week!

Emma's shower went really well last night. She got A LOT of nice gifts! She was overwhelmed. They don't have showers in Amishville & she had never been to an "English" shower. I'm guessing she didn't get much sleep last night! Mom was wiped out ~ I helped her get ready for bed around 10:30 - 1 1/2 hours past her bedtime! Hope she slept ok!!

I'm off to pick up my girl from the groomer, then I'll have about an hour to kill b/f her vet appointment. I would like to run home but also want to go say goodbye to Emma! Hopefully I can get it all done!

RIP, Glen Campbell. :(

When I was a kid, my uncle moved out of my grandparent's home and told me I could have his record player and a stack of records. My favorite was Glen Campbell. I'd ask my mom to start a Glen Campbell record every night when I went to bed, and I still have all those songs memorized.

I'll miss him, for sure.

Glad to hear Emma's shower went great!!

Lots of prayers for Gracie! I hope she had fun at the groomers and that the vet appointment provides some more answers.

My grandma loved him and played his records constantly when there wasn't a Red's game on. It's sad to see so many of the true country artists I grew up on passing away.

Tisk Tisk, you need to have it. the tough thing is so many brands taste different so if you get one that inst super strong you might decide you don't care for it. Once had one brand it tasted just like milk with a little of cinnamon init

Crown- why did you proclaim yourself the mayor of Pinesville?
Brad mac- there was no to be no long guitar solos amid your hour long dissertation on why the Ozark Mountain Daredevils were robbed of a Grammy for Jackie Blue....

Morning MMC! Just on a little late summer vacation here. Took care of Rollins this morning and now having a little breakfast. Going to go get new tires today for my car. I haven't changed a tired since I got this car in January of 2013 so it's long overdue. The tread on the tires really went down to very little left. Better do it before the Autumn and Winter come. Hope everyone has a great day today!
 
We greet another day, and it brings with it another set of count numbers plus a fresh update on our Milestone situation.

The numbers:
Days to the Season: 95
Days to Christmas Day: 137

As for our next Milestone marker, it's getting pretty darned close.
How does FOUR days sound to you?
Sounds rather close to me.
And that's just how far away the THREE QUARTERS point to the Season is located.
Barely over HALF a week away.
(Seems like we have really run through our Milestones quickly this year, doesn't it?)


Moderate temperatures and humidity were experienced yesterday. No rain.
All in all, a pretty good early August day.
Today, we should top out in the upper 80's with only a 20 percent chance of rain.
Currently, we perceive 68 degrees here at this hour.


Have a Thrilling Thursday, Friends.
Ready for Weekend Eve? I thought so. Me, too!
